Abstract

In order to ensure safety work of marine equipment, this paper introduces a kind of sink-float safety device which can match with marine equipment to realize protection work, and a fuzzy controller set up by fuzzy control algorithm. The data of the control system is collected by multi-sensor and filtered through the filter circuit. Under a 5 grade sea condition, the marine sink-float safety device can carry marine equipment, escaping from the harsh marine environment by diving to a certain depth. The simulation in MATLAB/Simulink shows that the control system could response fast and operate stably. Furthermore, it is able to control sink-float safety device efficiently and reach to the preset depth accurately. So we can guarantee the operation of marine equipment reasonably.

Abstract

Aiming at solving multi-criteria decision problems in power quality, a new decision-making method based on grey correlation degree and TOPSIS is proposed. On the basis of introducing the concept of grey correlation degree into traditional TOPSIS, a new relative similarity degree is established to decide power quality by combining Euclidean distance with grey correlation degree. Error originated from biased thinking due to subjective and objective factors in decision-making problem when using single method could be overcome by using the method and reliability of evaluation result in electric material tendering can be boosted up. Example shows that power quality could be effectively estimated by use the method and the method is an effective instruction for PQ evaluation. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.5251

Abstract

In order to enhance the recognition performance of the i-vector speaker recognition system under unpredicted noise environment, a improved local preserve projection which used for reduce dimension to i-vector is proposed on this paper. First , the non zero eigenvalue is rejected when we solve the optimized objective function, only using the eigenvalue which value greater than zero. A mapping matrix is obtained by solving a generalized eigenvalue problem, so can settle the singular value problem occurred in traditional local preserve projection algorithm. The experiment result shows,The recognition performance of the method proposed in this paper is improved under several kinds of noise environments. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.3994

Abstract

The future personal and home demand of big data helped fuel an explosion of development in network disk device market. Compared to a traditional USB hard drive, it separated the user from the hard disk, enjoyed the advantage of accessing from anywhere for unspecific user and easy operation and easy expansion. The paper established the remote access to hard drives via browser with Xilinx's XUPV5 LX110T FPGA development board. The system mounted an ATA host controller IP core and connected it to the network with RJ45. By porting PetaLinux operating system to the MicroBlaze embedded processor of FPGA, an independent FAT32 file system module was added, the users could establish the remote access to hard drives with specific CGI programs through the WEB browser. It was tested that Personal/Home Network Disk can meet the standards of basic file operation. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.5472

Abstract

Opportunistic spectrum access (OSA) is a key technique enabling the secondary users (SUs) in a cognitive radio (CR) network to transmit over the “spectrum holes” unoccupied by the primary users (PUs). In contrast to OSA, with spectrum sharing (SS) is allowed to transmit regardless of the PU’s on/off status, provided that the resulting interference to PU is kept below a predefined threshold. In this paper, we focus on the threshold detection algorithm study for spectrum sharing, which aims to get the SIR of the PUs as quickly and precisely as possible. We propose a dichotomy algorithm with lower complexity and more quickly in contrast to the traditional full search algorithm. Numerous simulation results are provided to validate the proposed algorithm. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.5489

Abstract

Development of an information system is a complex process, which expose to a great number of risks.Hence, the high failure rates long associated with information system projects, despite advances in techniques for information technology development, suggest that organizations need to improve their ability to identify and to manage associated risks. To improve the risk management in information system development projects, a pragmatic procedure is suggested to determine the size of a project's contingency plan budget at any specified level of certainty. Considering the interaction among risk factors, a method based on common risk factors and copula functions is used to model and quantify positive dependence between risks. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.5438

Abstract

To overcome the staircasing effects and simultaneously avoid edge blurring, We present an adaptive partial differential equation combining the total variation with wavelet transform for image restoration. A noise removal algorithm based on variation method and partial difference equations is proposed in this paper. The combining algorithm takes the advantage of both filters since it is able to preserve edges while avoiding the staircase effect in smooth regions. The TV method provides fast adaptive wavelet-based solvers for the TV model. Our approach not only employs a wavelet collocation method applied to the TV model using two-dimensional anisotropic tensor product of wavelets, but also proposes the differential equation for image restoration. Most conventional image processors consider little the influence of human vision psychology. The algorithm inherently not only combines the restoration property of wavelet compression algorithms with that of the TV model, but also gives a relative new TV functional which considers the influence of human vision psychology. We present a detailed description of our method which indicates that a combination of wavelet based restoration techniques with the TV model produces superior results. Experimental results illustrate the effectiveness of the model image restoration. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.5495

Abstract

The scheduling of Out-Tree task graphs is one of the critical factors in implementing the compilers of parallel languages and improving the performance of parallel computing. Although there are a few heterogeneity based algorithms in the literature suitable for scheduling Out-Tree task graphs, they usually require significantly high scheduling costs and may not deliver good quality schedules with lower costs. This paper presents a heuristic greedy scheduling algorithm for Out-Tree task graphs with an objective to simultaneously meet high performance and fast scheduling time, which is based on list and task duplication, tries to find the best point between balancing loads and shortening the schedule length and improves the schedule performance without increasing the time complexity of the algorithm. The comparative study shows that the proposed algorithm surpasses previous approaches in terms of schedule length ratio, speedup and efficiency metrics.

Abstract

To ensure capacitive equipment working safely and reliably, an on-line monitoring system of capacitive equipment dielectric loss was developed. The insulation situation was estimated accurately through long-distance synchronous sampling (using IRIG-B code synchronous clock), seamless connection of data between devices using Intelligent Electronic Device (IED), communication following IEC61850 protocol, and data analysis (using fault diagnosis algorithm). Running results showed that the system not only can accurately monitor the information, such as leakage current, dielectric loss, and equivalent capacitance, which reflect the working condition of capacitive equipment, but also can transmit data to the on-line monitoring data center through the IEC61850 protocol. The operating data, monitoring on CVTs in 330kV substation, showed the great improvement of this system on credibility, accuracy, and stability. What’s more, it also proved the great value of using and promoting this system. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.4866

Abstract

Insulator fault may lead to the accident of power network, thus the on-line monitoring of insulator is very significant. Low rates wireless network is used for data transmission of leakage current. Determination of the measurement matrix is the significant step for realizing the compressed sensing theory. This article comes up with new sparse matrices which can be used as compressed sensing matrices to make data compression and reconstruction of leakage current with the compressed sensing. This theory can achieve pretty good results. And then this article performs that the reconstitution effect is almost the same using the measurement matrix of Toeplitz matrix, circulant matrix or sparse matrix, as using a classical measurement matrix. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.1419
