Abstract

The public transport infrastructure of a city is one of the most important indicators of its economic growth and development. Here we investigate the statistical properties of the public transport network in Shenyang to explore its various properties based on complex network theory. The statistical properties of the public transport system consist of the degree of a node, the average shortest path length, the clustering coefficient of a node, the average clustering coefficient, and the degree distribution. In contrast with the small world evolution model, we find that the public transport system of Shenyang, a network of public transportation routes connected by bus links, is a small-world network characterized by a Poisson degree distribution. Simulation results show that the public transport network exhibits small world behavior with N=148.

Abstract

In this brief, we investigate the output regulation problem of saturated linear system under the action of nonlinear exosystem. Particularly, for saturated systems with periodically time-dependent exosytem, the K-step asymptotically regulatable region is given, which is a set of all initial states of the plant and the ecosystem. Improved internal model principles are constructed and the feedback controller is designed to ensure exponential output regulation in the regulatable region with disturbance rejection. Simulation examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of proposed method, the systems go into stable rapidly and periodically.DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.5535

Abstract

This paper proposes a novel “What You See Is What You Get” filmmaking system, called as ARFMS. It provides users with a low cost and easy to use system to make movies. Users cannot only real-time visualize the performance with computer-generated objects, but also visual effects films will be finished without post-production. After finished the screenplay, the performance will be shot on-site using an ordinary camera. CG objects will be simply and effectively controlled by natural interaction. Then users can apply the DR-marker just like an actual scene element, because it takes the advantages of marker-based and markerless-based registration approaches. This paper implements ARFMS to achieve pre-visualization and real-time finish the film using augmented reality technology. The user can perform with the CG character and stage property just like real ones. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.4582

Abstract

The weakness He-Dawson’s threshold multi-secret sharing scheme is presented and analyzed. By using the one-way function thought in the He-Dawson scheme, a new multi-use and multi-secret sharing scheme is proposed. The improved scheme is multi-time-use of once secret shares distribution and can resist conspiring attack. Furthermore, the new scheme is multi-secret sharing, group secrets can be reconstructed in free order and different group secret is corresponding to different threshold value which can meet with different practical application. At last, the security and efficiency of the new proposed multi-secret sharing scheme are analyzed. DOI:  http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.5483

Abstract

PDF documents are the important information resources for a mathematical expression retrieval system. As a major component of PDF documents, the image objects must be converted to coded form with the help of character recognition and document analysis technology firstly for content based searching. Therefore, the quality of these images becomes the key factor which decides the correctness in this conversion process. Considering the characteristics of PDF images and mathematical expressions, a preprocessing and analyzing method was proposed which includes the modules of PDF image extraction, graying, binarization, denoising, skew correction and layout parameter detection. The features of mathematical expressions were adequately considered to avoid the information loss in image converting process and the adverse interference both to the analysis and correction process resulted from formulas. The experimental results show that the method is effective in improving the accuracy and efficiency of document image recognition, analysis and retrieval. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.5440

Abstract

This paper studies the problem of the designing the robust local and centralized fusion Kalman filters for multisensor system with uncertain noise variances. Using the minimax robust estimation principle, the centralized fusion robust time-varying Kalman filters are presented based on the worst-case conservative system with the conservative upper bound of noise variances. A Lyapunov approach is proposed for the robustness analysis and their robust accuracy relations are proved. It is proved that the robust accuracy of robust centralized fuser is higher than those of robust local Kalman filters. Specially, the corresponding steady-state robust local and centralized fusion Kalman filters are also proposed and the convergence in a realization between time-varying and steady-state Kalman filters is proved by the dynamic error system analysis (DESA) method and dynamic variance error system analysis (DVESA) method. A Monte-Carlo simulation example shows the robustness and accuracy relations. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.5490

Abstract

Single pixel camera is a new imaging device that develops from the “ghost” imaging and compressive sensing theory. For high resolution imaging with large amount of data, the process of measurement and reconstruction is time-consuming, which limits its application to remote sensing area. Based on the analysis of the configuration of the single pixel camera, an efficient imaging strategy through combining different numbers of DMD mirrors and local imaging was proposed which is able to image the interested target in high resolution with low time cost. Simulation experiment was carried out for two different types of targets, i.e., three-line target image and the scene consisting of a ship in the ocean. Three types of images, in low, middle and high resolution, are reconstructed respectively by the control of DMD working area and the strategy to combining DMD mirrors. The reconstructed images reached the application requirements at very low measurement and reconstruction time cost. The effectiveness and practicality of this strategy could be applied to other compressive sensing imaging devices.

Abstract

This paper presents the x-band 5-bit MMIC digital attenuator with low phase shift. Phase compensation techniques were used in the MMIC design to reduce the phase shift. This attenuator is fabricated with 0.2µm GaAs PHEMT process. Measurement results of the developed MMIC chips in the x-band show that the 5-bit MMIC digital attenuator has 0.5dB resolution and 15.5dB dynamic attenuation range, input return losses was less than 10dB and output return losses was less than 13dB for all attenuation states, RMS is less than 0.2dB; insertion loss is less than 3.8dB; phase shift error is less than 5°for 35 attenuation states; The MMIC chip size is 1.58 mm×2.95 mm×0.1mm. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.4742

Abstract

Phishing emails are a real threat to internet communication and web economy. In real-world emails datasets, data are predominately composed of ham samples with only a small percentage of phishing ones. Standard Support Vector Machine (SVM) could produce suboptimal results in filtering phishing emails, and it often requires much time to perform the classification for large data sets. In this paper, an online version of imbalanced SVM (OISVM) is proposed. First an email is converted into 20 features which are well selected based on its content and link characters. Second, OISVM is developed to optimize the classification accuracy and reduce computation time, which is used a novel method to adjust the separation hyperplane of imbalanced date sets and an online algorithm to make the retaining process much fast. Compared to the existing methods, the experimental results show that OISVM can achieve significantly using a proposed expressive evaluation method. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.4562

Abstract

Fractional Fourier transform(FrFT) is a kind of generalized Fourier transform, which processes signals in the unified time-frequency domain and the linear frequency modulation signal can be well focused after FrFT. Motion error is an important factor affecting the SAR resolution, pointing to the problem that the effect of error elimination is not obvious in processing non-stationary motion error using the traditional FFT based motion compensation combined SAR imaging algorithm, FrFT based two-step motion compensation combined wavenumber domain algorithm and sub-aperture wide beam motion compensation algorithm are put forward in this paper, which are expected to eliminate the influence of motion error more effectively, so as to obtain high quality SAR images. The simulation results and the imaging results of real SAR data show that the proposed algorithms indeed eliminate the influence of motion error effectively.
