Abstract

High levels of reliability and high security are the basic characteristics and requirements of railway signal systems. So, reliability, availability and maintainability (RAM) are necessarily analyzed before the computer interlocking system will be adopted. The All-electronic Computer Interlocking System, which is a new kind of interlocking system, still needs to analyze its RAM before being put to use. In this paper, the reliability methods and Markov model are adopted to analyze the RAM indexes of the All-electronic Computer Interlocking System when its execution layer equipped with the single configuration or the dual-redundant configuration, the paper also compares the indexes with that of the traditional computer-based interlocking system. Finally, the paper will briefly include suggestions on how the All-electronic Computer Interlocking System’s RAM indexes may be increased and also, how the system may be used practically.

Abstract

Based on the grey system theory, the grey relational analysis method is proposed and used in analyzing the influence of various factors on the friction torque of a sliding bearing. On the basis of the grey relational analysis the multidimensional grey model GM(1,N,D) for the friction torque of a sliding bearing is built up. Taking Al-based alloy sliding bearing as an example, the calculation results show that, compared with other influence factors, friction coefficient, load, temperature and rotational speed have more significant influence on the bearing friction torque.Comparingexperimental results and the calculated value of the GM(1,N,D) model based on these important influence factors, the maximum relative residuals is 9.09%, the average relative residuals is 7.9% and the accuracy is 92.1%. It verify that GM(1,N,D) model has good accuracy and is applicable for predicting friction torque of a sliding bearing.

Abstract

The analysis and control of complex plants often requires the principles of qualitative process models since quantitative, namely analytical process models are not available. Qualitative modeling is one promising approach to the solution of difficult tasks automation if qualitative process models are not available. This contribution presents a new concept of qualitative dynamic process modeling using so called Dynamic Adaptive Neuro fuzzy Systems. This yields the framework of a new systems theory the essentials of which are given in further section of the paper. First, an identification method is presented, using a combination of linguistic knowledge.

Abstract

The traditional barometric altimetry acquired the absolute height has poor precision mainly because of the climate and weather, gravity and temperature effect on atmospheric pressure. By introducing reference point correction into barometric altimetry can improve the accuracy of the height being measured and extend its application range since the error caused by slow variation of atmospheric pressure and temperature is eliminated. Users receive the meteorological data from barometric reference stations and calculate the local height through local measurement by high precision. To begin with, this paper describes the principle and mathematical model of differential barometric altimetry. And then analyze the main factors influence to the precision of differential barometric altimetry. Finally, accuracy and error of the method is to be analyzed in detail.

Abstract

Harry Potter is a series of seven fantasy novels which has got a huge success. To explore the reasons of so successful of the novel behind, we analyzed the characters network in Harry Potter from the perspective of complex networks. Studies show that the characters network in Harry Potter has got the small-world effect and scale-free feature. It is a typical complex network. The success of novel Harry Potter is precisely due to the complex properties of it, and this may give some guidance for novel writers when preparing their works.

Abstract

Nowadays, the most widely used insulating materials in high voltage equipment such as cables are polymeric insulations due to the numerous merits they possess with regards to electrical performance compared to paper insulations. However, electrical treeing, one of the dielectric pre-breakdown phenomena, has been considered as a major contribution to the failure of insulating polymeric materials. Thus, this paper provides an overview on the factors affecting the initiation and propagation of electrical tree.  Discussions on parameters that affect the growth of electrical treeing such as applied voltage, electric field enhancement, partial discharge, frequency of applied voltage and temperature are given. Some discussions on the various models are also highlighted. The tree related models being discussed herein include Weibull, Lognormal, Johnson SB, Dielectric Breakdown Model, Discharge-Avalanche Model, and Field-Driven Tree Growth. In addition, discussions on the use of nano-sized fillers in polymeric insulating material to inhibit electric treeing are highlighted.

Abstract

In this paper Fuzzy Bayesian Synthetic algorithm based methodology has been evaluated for its performance using real time data for chopping off peak load demand. This is achieved by judiciously scheduling load from the regional load under a new load management technique. This technique validates the timely decision making capacity of the system to reduce peak demand hence giving us a chance to reduce the peak demand and hence reduce the stress of generating excess power during the peak period. This method uses data of a previous day and then predicts for the next day. Thus by evaluating this process it was found that the new peak demand has a reduced value as compared to the actual peak demand. It is evident that this method can not only reduce peak demand by chopping of the regional loads by following the proposed algorithm but also helps in generating indirect revenue by saving energy. This method authenticates the proposed method and saves peak demand or otherwise energy by about ten to fifty megawatts on daily basis depending on the service condition of the network and solar day light hour availability over span of a day.

Abstract

This paper analyses and compares PWM control strategy of control and buffer type soft switching half bridge DC/DC converter. Finally, the soft switching condition are analyzed, and this article gets the realization of soft switching conditions of the three half bridge DC/DC converter and the influence factors of soft switching conditions of the three half bridge DC/DC converter. Characteristics of resonant converter can boost and buck, so the output voltage stable strategy of variable frequency control is more easily achieved. The paper presents control strategy of three phase PWM by three half bridge topology bidirectional DC/DC converter and resonant.

Abstract

In this paper a design process of a broadband printed monopole antenna using stepped cut at four corners (CSFC) technique is proposed. The CSFC is a technique that four corners a patch (rectangular/square) of planar monopole antennas are cut in order to enhance the impedance bandwidth. The technique can be used to design any different types of planar monopole antenna in specific frequency ranges. Therefore, to become more acquaintance with the CSFC technique an evolution process of single band to broadband antenna is represented. However, the proposed antenna is designed for wireless indoor customer premises equipment (CPE) using the coplanar waveguide (CPW) feeding technique. Moreover, the antenna is simulated using CST software and also fabricated and tested so as to validate the results. The simulated and measured -10 dB reflection bandwidth is 104% (850MHz to 2.7 GHz) to cover GSM (900 and 1800 MHz), WiFi (2.4 GHz) and LTE (2.6 GHz) applications. High efficiency and gain as well as omnidirectional and quasi-omnidirectional of radiation pattern at lower and upper frequencies have been achieved.

Abstract

This virtual programming language is a primary method of improving the performance and protecting system resources in around the clock on anywhere and anytime platform. This proposed article is contributes to the development of an optimal method that aims  to determine the minimal cost and time to be invested into secure and robust computing in right way, right time. everywhere and everytime of the globe. Furthermore, the virtual programming method optimizing the (CPU, MEMORY) space & time of the operating system. This dynamic code fully support to the current virtualization to co-op with large scale complex infrastructure and applications. We have to define, design, develop & deployment the virtual programming ( C++, JAVA & RAIN ) on real time operating system to participates the millions of users able to access on line web and mobile application  simultaneously. We have to integrate this VPL with real time hardware, software and middleware to facilitate to customers requirement. This dynamic code is communicating, interfacing, message passing, replicating among the several subjects and objects over a distributed super scalar environment (MIMD). This proposed method optimized the system attacks and down time by implementing VPL on complex heterogonous infrastructure.
