Abstract

Every child has the right to monitor growth and development without exception, carried out at the family level; early detection of irregularities is carried out by trained health workers and early childhood/kindergarten educators. This activity has not yet reached the targeted figure, which is only 59.28% in 2020. Optimization of child growth and development can be developed through Paysandú integrated preschool. Based on this description, the authors consider it necessary to synergize the implementation of the SDIDTK program in the PAUD education program by making growth and development reports. The purpose of developing e-report cards is to increase efficiency and effectiveness and assist teachers, homeroom teachers, cadres, and health workers in managing the SDIDTK program so that valid, practical, and effective digital-based e-report applications can be obtained. Method: The research design refers to the development of the 4D model, including defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The stages carried out include steps 1, 2, and 3, while step 4 is carried out in the following year. Result: The developed E-report card application is named SIDDIKA (Child health data and information application). The results of the material expert validation scored 73.5% (feasible). Media expert validation results scored 81.5% (very feasible). The test results on the child health data and information application design (SIDDIKA), which was carried out on users in the field, scored 84.1% (very feasible).  Conclusion: The developed E-report card application is suitable for use in the field to assist technically in the implementation of SDIDTK at the PAUD unit level and to help increase the coverage of children receiving growth and development monitoring

Abstract

Background: Aerobic Low Impact  is a geriatric exercise that takes place without planning and only uses balance exercises that concentrate on certain large muscle groups with light to moderate movement intensity. Benefits This exercise in the elderly will increase the strength of the respiratory muscle pump and muscle strength, which will maintain the skeletal structure of the body. Decreased musculoskeletal function is a common problem that occurs in the elderly, one of which is characterized by decreased joint flexibility. Decreased joint firmness in the elderly reaches 40-50%. Strong muscles and good flexibility are protective for the elderly. Purpose: To find out whether there is an effect of Low Impact Aerobic Exercise on Functional Movement in the elderly.  Methods: this type of research is a quantitative research, quasy-experimental (Quasy Experimental) with One Group PreTest PostTest Design with a sample size of 23. The research instruments used questionnaires, interviews and functional movement measurements using FMS (Functional Movement Screening). The Low Impact Aerobic Exercise Intervention was carried out 2 times a week for 2 weeks with a duration of 25-30 minutes of exercise. Result: the results of the study obtained a significance value of FMS of 0.157 (p0.05). then Ho is accepted Ha is rejected so that it can be interpreted that there is no effect of Aerobic Low Impact  Gymnastics on Functional Movement in the elderly. Abstract

Peritoneal dialysis (PD)-related peritonitis is one of the most common complications and may lead to mechanical failure and death. This may cause by gram-positive, gram-negative, fungal, and sometimes the culture was sterile. This study aims to review the outcomes of PD-related peritonitis. Online searching was performed on PubMed, ScienceDirect, Cochrane, and Google Scholar following PRISMA guidelines. We used the search term peritoneal dialysis, peritonitis, continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis, continuous cyclic peritoneal dialysis, and exit-site infection. After a full-text assessment for eligibility, eight articles were included in this review. We found death outcomes were in the range of 1.4 to 9%. Approximately 7.2% to 19.3% were transferred to HD according to four articles. Catheter removal within the range of 5.1% to 25%. Relapse cases varied widely from 1.5% to 12%. Recovery rates were predominant over all of the clinical outcomes from 65% to 82.4%. Although recovery rates of PD-associated peritonitis were high, peritonitis still remained the most common cause of conversion to HD, PD catheter removal, and mortality. Prevention should be the priority to avoid complications and increase mortality rate by daily exit site care and antibiotic prophylactic prior to catheter placement was recommended.

Abstract

According to several studies, music and stimuli provide a sense of security, comfort, and fun, including for children’s growth and development. The purpose of this study was to analyze the positive impact of the combination of classical music and stimulation, detection, and early intervention of growth and development (SDIDTK) on the growth and development of children. The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest with a control group. The two intervention groups were given a combination of natural and music therapy and SDIDTK, each intervention was given for 30 minutes and lasted for three consecutive days. A sample of 60 people was divided into two groups, namely children with classical music and SDIDTK as the treatment and the control groups. The dependent variable is classical music and SDIDTK and the independent variable is children without music and SDIDTK. Data analysis using t-test statistics. Results of the study of body weight before and after intervention show shows the p-value (0.000) alpha (0.005), so there is a significant difference in the averages of head circumference before and after the intervention. While head circumference averages before and after intervention show all three groups are below 0.05, meaning that the p values (0.009, 0.000, and 0.008) alpha (0.05), so there is a significant difference in average body weight before and after the intervention. The conclusion of this study recommends the use of classical-natural music therapy in combination with SDIDTK for a positive influence on children's growth and development.

Abstract

AbstractDysmenorrhea occurs in women during the menstrual cycle is not highly dangerous or life-threatening. However, it does affect daily activities, especially among students and their learning activities. This negative effect is due to the rising pain, which is highly disruptive and could negatively impact the quality of life, including health, concentration, and learning motivation. This research utilized a qualitative approach in which an in-depth interview was conducted to uncover the informants' strategies for managing dysmenorrhea by applying a phenomenological approach to analyze the data. The informants were selected through purposive sampling. Further, this study included six adolescent females with dysmenorrhea, six informants' parents, one school health unit manager, and one librarian. The data collection tool, an interview guide, was subjected to a pilot interview and the data analysis was facilitated by the NVivo software program. This research generates two themes: (1) Health oriented treatment strategies and (2) Perspective-based treatment strategies. Adolescent females pursue Health-oriented management strategies mainly pharmacologically, which involves using medications such as Ibuprofen, Paracetamol, and Feminax. Besides, these adolescent females alleviate dysmenorrhea through cultural perspectives using herbal remedies such as warm ginger milk, turmeric tamarind, clove oil, and warm compresses, and only a few of them would seek a medical examination from healthcare facilities. Keywords: Treatment, Dysmenorrhea, Adolescent Females

Abstract

The medical action that can be taken in dealing with fracture conditions is to perform an Open Reduction Internal Fixation (ORIF) procedure. When the bone fragments have been reduced, and the fixation device has been installed, it will cause severe pain. Non-pharmacological pain management can be done in ORIF postoperative patients by doing Range of Motion (ROM) exercises. This research was conducted at Koja Hospital in May - June 2023. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of ROM on pain intensity in post-ORIF Extremity patients immediately, carried out on the 2nd day after surgery, 4 times in 2 consecutive days. Each movement is repeated 8 times with 30 minutes of practice time. The research method uses quantitative research with Quasi-experimental pre-a post-tests without control. The number of samples was 18 postoperative ORIF extremity patient respondents who were measured by Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) pain before and after ROM exercises. The results showed that there was an effect of ROM training on the pain intensity of postoperative ORIF patients using the Paired T-Test with a p-value of 0.000 ? 0.05, and it was found that there was a decrease in the average pain scale from before ROM 5.50 to a pain scale of 3.83 after ROM training. The conclusion is that ROM exercises are effective in reducing pain in postoperative ORIF Extremity patients at Koja Hospital. Keywords: Fracture, Postoperative pain intensity, Range of Motion
