Abstract

Introduction: Post-traumatic burns that already heal, very often happens that an ugly scar in the form of hypertrophic scarring, keloids and are often accompanied by the presence of contractures. Hypertrophic and keloid scar is fibroproliferation abnormalities in the dermis that is unique to humans that may arise as a result of burns. While contractures occur because of the shortening of the pathological scarring that causes deformities and movement disorders such as the limited movement of a body part. cases of burns caused 195,000 deaths/year worldwide, especially in poor and developing countries. This aim of this study was to analyze the effect of topical aloe extract against consistency, height, and pigmentation scarring after burns hypertrophic Poly Plastic Surgeon Dr. Soetomo. Methods: This research was used in the pre-experimental design. The population was all patients with burns and 10 patient samples. It used consecutive sampling. The independent variable was aloe vera topical and the dependent variable was the quality of the hypertrophic scar. Data were collected using the Vancouver Scar Scale and then analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks and Paired T-Test.Result: The results showed that there was significant effect before and after basting of topical aloe vera on the value of consistency (p=0.005). No significant effect before and after the aloe vera in the pigmentation scores (p=0.317) and height. There was a difference significant hypertrophic scar consistency before and after aloe vera extract. No differences in height and pigmentation significant hypertrophic scars before and after extract of aloe vera extract topical effect on the consistency, but not in height and pigmentation in hypertrophic scarring after burns. Conclusions: Further studies with more samples to determine the substances contained in aloe vera that can accelerate changes in consistency, pigmentation, and height.

Sampling was done by purposive sampling. The independent variable was health education using audiovisual media and the dependent variable was knowledge, attitude, and skill. Data were obtained through a questionnaire and analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank test and Mann Whitney U test with a significance level of α<0.05.Results: Health Education managed to increase knowledge with the results of Wilcoxon test p=0.001 The results of Mann Whitney p=0.000. It was similar happened to the attitude of the mother. The value Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test for skill show significant value p=0.007 and Mann Whitney test results obtained significant value p = 0.000 which means effect obtained after the intervention. Conclusion: The results of can be concluded, there were effects of audiovisual on knowledge, attitude, and skill of mothers in the treatment of ARI in children under five years in Lebijaga Ngada Regency. Abstract

Introduction: Constipation is one of the results of decreased body structure and function in the elderly. One way that can be used to prevent constipation is by doing abdominal massage. The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of abdominal massage on prevention of constipation for elderly. Method: This research used Quasy experiment method by using pre-test-post-test with control group design. The study population was elderly at the nursing home which had risk of constipation amounted to 38 respondents. The sample was 30 respondents with sample random sampling technique. Independentvariables were abdominal massage and the dependent variable was constipation level. Data were collected using Constipation Assessment Scale. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon sign rank test and Mann-Whitney test.Result: The results showed statistic test using Wilcoxon in the treatment group showed there was a decrease of constipation level before and after receiving an abdominal massage, with p-value = 0.001 and in the control group there was no difference of constipation level with p-value = 0.057. The results of MannWhitney, showed a difference in abdominal massages to prevent constipation in the elderly with a value of p = 0.033.Discussion: Stimulation from the outside with abdominal massage can help stimulate the parasympathetic nerve in the intestine and accelerate blood circulation, so that weakened bowel peristaltic becomes increased. In this study, abdominal massage was statistically significant against the prevention of constipation in the elderly but clinicallynot too significant.

Secondly it analyzed relationship between both variable. Methods: This study used cross-sectional design. Samples were patients with chronic kidney disease undergone hemodialysis at RSUD Dr. M.M. Dunda Limboto, Kabupaten Gorontalo. The independent variables were social support and motivation. The dependent variable was adherence on fluid intake restriction. Sample were 19 individuals, recruited using consecutive sampling. Data were collected through questionnaire and analyzed by of Spearmen Rho statistical test with significance level of α<0.05.Result: Result of the research showed that there was a relationship between social support and motivation with adherence on fluid intake restriction among patients with chronic kidney disease undergone hemodialysis with significance level p=0.000 it means the relationship between two variable was reliable. The higher the social support, the better patients adherence on fluid restriction. The limitation of this research was small sample size to be used. Conclusion: It can be conclude that there was relationship between social support and motivation with adherence on fluid intake restriction among patients with chronic kidney disease undergone hemodialysis.
