Abstract

Smartphones are the new media in terms of the communication process, one of these types of gadgets has a lot of great benefits in life. It is not only used to communicate with each other, the fact that the smartphone also has a very wide function. Some high schools have a prohibition of Tarunanya restrictions on smartphones, but the Institute of Correctional Sciences which is a high school under the auspices of the Ministry of Justice and Human rights have the rules of using smartphones to communicate in the process of learning, training and parenting. The research uses one independent variable (X) i.e. the intensity of smartphone usage and one dependent variable (Y) i.e. communication behaviour. Primary Data is collected through a survey method of 100 respondents using an insedental sampling approach. Theories used include communication theory, new media theory, communication psychology and dependency theory. The results showed that the intensity of smartphone use has significant effect on communication behavior of 69% and the remaining 31% is influenced by other factors not found in the study.

Abstract

As a Tourism City, traffic congestion in Batu City continues to experience an increase. This encourages the Batu City Transportation Agency to create innovations in providing ease of service to road users. Along with advances in information and communication technology, the City of Batu Transportation Agency launched an application called Aver Viewer. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of Aver Viewer in monitoring traffic congestion in Kota Batu and whether the people of Kota Batu already know of this application. Effectiveness is a measure of success in achieving predetermined goals. The purpose of making the Aver Viewer application is considered to have been achieved, because this application makes it easier for the public to monitor congestion and find alternative routes to pass. This research uses descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used were questionnaire (questionnaire) and direct interviews to the Batu City Transportation Department and the community. The results of this study are that Aver Viewer is considered to be quite effective in monitoring traffic congestion in Batu City, with this application, it can facilitate road users to monitor traffic conditions without having to come directly to the field. But the lack of socialization carried out by the Department of Transportation about the Aver Viewer application caused the lack of people who knew of this application.

Abstract

The city of Palembang has many potential to be developed into a city of river-based historical and cultural tourism. One of the potential tourist attractions of the river is in The Pasar Sekanak, which flows through Sekanak River and in this area there are many heritage buildings. The potential contained in this area has not been seen supported by facilities to develop more optimally into a tourist area. Paying attention to this condition, the Palembang government through Dinas Pariwisata implemented a river tourism program with any problems in this implementation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of The River Tourism Program in the Pasar Sekanak as well as the factors that drive and inhibit the implementation of the program, achieved by using qualitative descriptive research methods. Data collection techniques, observation, interview and documentation. Research informants came from relevant stakeholders, namely the Palembang city tourism office, the surrounding community and 28 ilir sub-district Palembang. The result showed that the implementation of the river tourism program in The Sekanak market area is a program that refers to RIPPARNAS in 2010-2025, in the development of this region there are obstacles to lack of communication between stakeholders, lack of facilities and infrastructure for tourism support and still lack of professional human resources.

Abstract

This research is entitled Effectiveness of Employee Performance at UPTD Pasar Betung, Banyuasin Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine how the performance of UPTD Pasar Betung employees in carrying out their duties and responsibilities as employees at the Betung Market, Banyuasin Regency. This research is a qualitative research, while the approach in this research is a case study which will explain the effectiveness of the Employee Performance of UPTD Pasar Betung, Banyuasin Regency. This study uses interview and documentation techniques as a means of collecting data. In this case, the interviewed informants were the Head of Market Management Service, Head of UPTD, Market Staff and UPTD Market, Visitors and Market Traders. Based on the results of the research and discussion that has been done previously, it is concluded that the Performance Effectiveness of the UPTD Pasar Betung which still experiences many problems, especially from internal employees such as lack of quality of employee performance on the work assigned, causes of employee timeliness and lack of employee responsibility in carrying out Duty.

Abstract

This study aims to see and examine the leadership communication model in improving employee work discipline at PT. Malindo Feedmill Tbk, Sembawa Village, Sembawa District, Banyuasin III Regency, with a sample size of 75 people. The research method used in this research is quantitative with the aim of knowing the leadership communication model in improving the work discipline of employees at PT. Malindo Feedmill, Tbk using the product map formula, while the research instrument for obtaining data in the field is a school questionnaire that is created and developed by the author himself based on the development of relevant theories with research variables and research indicators. Trying to provide an overview of what is there, by researching, then analyzing it to find related problems. The results of calculations using the current product formula to see the leadership communication model in improving the work discipline of employees of PT. Malindo Feedmill Tbk in Sembawa Village, Sembawa District, Banyuasin III Regency is 0.769, while the determinant r (r2) is 59.13%, the remaining is 40.87%; by other factors not examined in this study.
