Abstract

Diabetes is one of the most common chronic diseases in the world, affecting millions of people every year and placing a significant financial burden on the economy. Diabetes is a serious chronic disease in which individuals lose the ability to effectively regulate blood glucose levels, and it can lead to decreased quality of life and life expectancy.The purpose of this study is to cluster diabetes health to be able to cluster quickly whether a person has diabetes, or prediabetes or is free from diabetes so that diabetes can be anticipated as early as possible. The data used in this study is the result of a survey from the US Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) in 2015 which contains a net data collection of 253,680 survey responses to the CDC's 2015 BRFSS. The target variable Diabetes_012 has 3 classes. 0 for no diabetes or only during pregnancy, 1 for prediabetes, and 2 for diabetes.The method used in this study is the K-Means Clustering method where this method has been quite successful and is widely used by many researchers to cluster and predict, indicators of a person's diabetes health can be grouped into 3 groups, namely the health of people without diabetes, the health of people with prediabetes. and the health of people with type 2 diabetes, as for the results of the clustering of 2349 data, there are 235 people with health without diabetes, 1816 people with prediabetes health conditions and 298 people with type 2 diabetes.

Abstract

Education is a process of communication and information from educators to students which contains information about education, which has elements of educators as sources of information, media as a means of presenting ideas, ideas and educational materials as well as students themselves, some elements of This approach gets a touch of information technology media, thus sparking the birth of the idea of ​​e-learning. Deli Namorambe Putri Private Elementary School is still carrying out the direct learning process, where the entire teaching and learning process between teachers and students can only be done with class meetings. If there is no meeting between students and teachers in the classroom, the learning process will not occur. This causes the delivery of material and assignments to be disrupted so that it can result in a lack of student understanding of a learning material. The development of this system uses the PHP programming language, xampp as a local web server on the computer. With this system, it can help teachers and students in the teaching and learning process so that it can be used to fill out attendance lists, upload teaching materials, download teaching materials, take quizzes, send assignments and exams.

Abstract

Achieving satisfaction in handling final student graduation is the most important situation to achieve service quality satisfaction in doing a service. Thesis is a student's scientific writing as one of the requirements for graduating from college, supporting the completion of the work involving a supervisor with the tasks of ensuring that it fits the topic with the main lesson in the thesis. Problems in the preparation of the thesis with several phenomena that occur, namely students cannot complete it on time according to important dates determined by the Study Program, Lecturers do not have sufficient competence on the topics raised by students, Determination of Supervisors is still focused on the quota that has been set. ensure without ascertaining whether the lecturer concerned is able to provide guidance on the topics provided. This study provides recommendations for study programs in determining text-based supervisors using the MOORA method, with the application that will be developed it can make it easier for study programs to determine thesis supervisors so that students can complete thesis on time because it involves supervisors who have competence in their fields.

Abstract

Language is very important to all of people, because language is use for communication with other, without language we shall find difficulties to get something and communication with another people. it means that without comprehending the language, someone will get many difficulties in lives. The objective of the study is to find out what is the effect of using collaborative strategic in reading narrative text at SMA Advent 2 Medan. The scope the research is focus on students grade one at SMA Advent 2 Medan to improve their ability in reading comprehension on narrative text. The method uses in this research is quantitative research. Quantitative research is defined as a the systematic investigation phenomena by gathering. Abstract

North Sumatra consists of several tribes, namely, Malays tribe, Mandailing tribe, Toba tribe, Karo tribe, Simalungun tribe, Pakpak tribe, and Nias tribe. Each tribe has a variety of interesting cultures, especially the typical culinary that can give the identity of an area. Although the tribe in North Sumatra has a variety of typical culinary, in the city of Medan there is no special place that can be used as a place to find and learn the culinary specialties of North Sumatra. For that, needed a place to learn the culinary specialties of North Sumatra and also provide a place to eat the typical cuisine of North Sumatra without having to go to the tribal area of North Sumatra. North Sumatra’s educative culinary center is a means of learning the culinary specialties of North Sumatra that can make the people of Medan aware of the importance of maintaining traditional culinary North Sumatra. This Culinary Center is not only a place of education, this Culinary Center provides restaurants and food courts for the general public and tourists who want to try the culinary specialties of North Sumatra. Abstract

In the global era, the economic growth of Indonesia is currently growing so investors are tempted to invest in Indonesia. It is predicted that in the next decade, the central business district and its surroundings will be full of high-rise buildings. The growth of the office buildings construction in Indonesia, especially in Medan, is facing serious problems, namely limited available land; high land-price; high density of activities which causing boredom for office employees. Those reasons are the background of office park concept (offices within the park) in Medan. The building must be able to adapt to the climate situation. The tropical architecture concept is applied so that the building will be able to adapt and be reactive to an unpredictable climate. At the end, the role of office park concept can provide alternative forms which paying attention to the ecology of the density office environment and can reduces the air temperature around it.

Abstract

In general, a substation is an electrical system that functions to convert electrical energy to be distributed to consumers in general where electricity centers are connected to air transmission lines, and air transmission lines are susceptible to interference from outside the system, one of which is a lightning strike. Where in the operation of a substation there are several important equipment, one of which is a transformer, so a protection system must be installed on the transformer to minimize interference. Lightning strikes are dangerous for the components contained in the power center. The protection system is used to protect the power system and the equipment itself from lightning surges and short circuits. To maintain reliability and ensure normal operation, specifications for arresters installed on the HV side of the Tragi Binjai substation power transformer unit with a nominal voltage of 150 kV, have been in accordance with system requirements. The maximum distance between arresters and power transformers is 28.5 meters. The distance in the field is 3 meters, the voltage that arrives at the power transformer is 480 kV and is still below the value of the transformer's basic isolation level, so that the protection of the power transformer against lightning surges is very good

Abstract

This study aims to study the performance of the safety system used in distribution transformers that reduce the voltage from 20 kV to 230/400 V with a fuse cout out safety device. Where the problem that often arises in the field is a disturbance in the electrical energy distribution system which results in blackouts. The methods used in this research are field surveys which are compared with simulations in the laboratory of the electric power protection system, which aims to determine the performance of theaelectricapoweraprotectionisystem of fuse cut out in network security. Data is taken from cases that occurred at the ST 87 substation TP.02 ULP Stabat. Where the research results obtained are the magnitude of the fault current which is equal to the current rating of the installed fuse link. So that at the end of the study, several results were found where the amount of fault current had exceeded the existing transformer resistance limit, so that the transformer was damaged and disrupted the 20 kv network system.

Abstract

Mobile Sales Information System Development is a sales application for recording sales transaction processes, accessed offline using online, local networks, or computing devices such as PC (personal computer) desktops, laptops, and notebooks. I can do it. smartphone. Previously, the sales process was done manually, so the sales transaction recording process was not well documented and it was difficult to create a report, but by doing this, it is necessary to create an information system. May be resolved. The method applied to the development of mobile sales information system applications is the application of the Waterfall method. A system that analyzes functional and non-functional system requirements, database design, and table requirements in the form of entity relationship diagrams (ERD), logical record structures (LRS), and uses Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams. Design coding Process Framework Codeigniter 3, from black box test testing, maintenance to application development. The results of this study are applications for sales applications that support sales transaction processing, data manipulation, and rapid printing or generation of reports for the required time period based on the required month or date.

Indomarco Adi Prima is a company that has a consignment program for its products. This study builds an information system for recording consignment data in the form of snack food products that are deposited in stores. This system records the order and the number of items deposited along with the expiration date. This information system facilitates the marketing of PT. Indomarco Adi Prima is monitoring the goods for further checking. By using this system, the recording of the consignment program will run accordingly
