The Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang published Manajemen Bisnis (MB) journal in 2011. Start in December 2018, the MB journal has online ISSN 2655-2523 for articles that publish started from Volume 9 No. 1, April 2019. Then, start from Volume 9 No. 2. MB journal has been accredited for SINTA 4. MB journal is a peer-reviewed and open-access journal published twice a year (April and October). This journal published articles in Bahasa but in 2019 MB journal published all articles in English. This journal only accepts articles from original research results. MB journal welcomes all articles related to management and business fields. Subjects suitable for publication include financial management, marketing management, human resource management, operation management, strategic management, entrepreneurship, business ethics, and international business. Manajemen Bisnis journal has been indexed in Google Scholar and DOAJ. MB journal keeps an attempt to be indexed in other journal directories.

Abstract

This research aims to know the quality of Apple production in Tutur Village  Regency Pasuruan. By grouping into three groups, group with  0-5 apple farmer, group with 6-10 apple farmer, and group of more than 10 apple farmer. The population in this research and the entire manager and owner of the garden that is as much as 40 respondents. Data analysis used in this study is the range of the scale. Based on the results of the research and the discussion it can be concluded that: 0-5 apple farmer in which tenants are comprised of variable focusing on customers, continuous improvement, categorized well, while variable obsession to quality, involvement and empowerment of employees, categorized enough. 6-10 apple farmer grouping consisting of variable focusing on customers and variable obsession to quality categorized well, whereas continuous improvement, employee involvement and empowerment, categorized enough. Grouping more than 10 farmers apple farmer consisting of variable focusing on customers, variable obsession to quality, continuous improvement, employee involvement and empowerment, categorized either.

Abstract

PT Pulau Sambu Guntung was a company engaged in the plantation sector, industry and trade, companies that process raw materials into a cream of coconut and palm oil producing strain.In the supply of raw materials, the company acquired by purchase from the supplier, and the company has a coconut plantation which is only taken 10% of the plantation area.Because it will be exported to Europe then came the problem because in Europe the standard is set too high, the ISO shall not be granted and must make improvements.This study aimed to analyze the application and the requirements of the quality management system ISO 9001: 2015.The analysis tool used is descriptive analysis.The results showed that the clause was appropriate and meet the target, but there is a clause that is appropriate but not running optimally.Therefore still needs to be improved continuously in order to run optimally.

Abstract

Songkok Ikat Kepala was one of UKM which produce songkok in Gresik. This UKM Songkok Ikat Kepala was produced by strategy ?make to order? and there was no guideline for period production. Problems that occurred were known asdelayed production process at the process of sewing. The aim of this study was (1) to analyze the planning of labor scheduling and (2) to determine the standard of estimation of item production process. The data were analyzed by using period study and gantt diagram techniques. The results of the study showed that there were 2 standards of estimation, those are fast and low standards. Fast standard needed the work estimation in 444 seconds. However, low standard needed the work estimation in 536 seconds. Therefore, this study was expected to be guidance to arrange the schedule by using gantt diagram.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was (1) to examine the factors that considered by consumers in deciding secondary education level in SMAN 3 Malang and (2) to examine the dominant factor that considered by consumers in deciding secondary education level in SMAN 3 Malang. This study applied quantitative with descriptive design. The population of the study was tenth class of SMAN 3 Malang. The data were analyzed by using factor analysis. The results of the study showed that (1) there were 4 factors that considered by consumers to decide secondary education level in SMAN 3, namely product, process, physical evidence, and personality and (2) the most dominant factor that considered by consumers to decide secondary education level in SMAN 3 was product quality.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to examine the problems and solutions to quality control of pellets at UD Lestari. The data were collected by using observation, documentation, and interview. Then, the data were analyzed by using cause-effect and pareto diagrams. Cause-effect diagram used to found the caused of damage and eliminate it and pareto diagram used to determine and to sort the total of damage from the largest to smallest. The results of the study showed that there were three kinds of problems, such as: different type of pellets, attached pellets to one another, and pellets chunk due to labor, raw material, machine, and method factors. The pareto diagram shows that the shaped plastic seed was a product damage most widely. The most dominant problem faced by UD Lestari was chunk pellets. Thus, the company should monitor labor, raw material, machine, and method used in processing the pellets.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and explain the leadership style analysis in PDAM Kota Probolinggo. The data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. The population in this study is that all permanent employees as much as fifty nine are located in the Administration and Finance Section, in the Customer Relations Section and in the Engineering Section of the City of Probolinggo PDAM with data analysis techniques using a range of scales. Based on the results of the research and discussion that has been done then it can be concluded as follows: First the results of the analysis of the maturity of the subordinates in the Administration and Finance Section is in the very high category, in the Customer Relations section is in the very high category and in the Engineering Section is in the very high category. Both the results of the analysis of the task behavior and relationship behavior in the Administration and Finance Section are in the very high category, in the Customer Relations section is in the very high category and in the Engineering Section is in the very high category. The three results of the analysis of the leadership style applied to PDAM Probolinggo City in the Financial Administration Section are telling, in the Customer Relations Section, namely telling, in the Engineering Section, namely telling. The four leadership styles that are applied according to the Hersey and Blanchard models in the Administration and Finance Section are delegating, in the Customer Relations section, namely delegating, in the Engineering Section, which is participating.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to compare the risk and returns on investment. The most preferred investment of Indonesian society is a low-risk investment. Investment instruments that include low-risk investments which is used in this research are an investment on deposit and investments on gold. Based on the results of the comparison and discussion in this research shows that investment on deposits is give more profit than investment on gold. Although the risk incurred in investment on deposit is higher than investment on gold by a margin of 0.0357 but the rate of return of investment on gold is higher than investment on deposit by a margin of 2.80%. So, with different risk 0.0357 gives the rate of return 2.80% which mean is higher with T-Test shows significant point 0,010.
