Abstract

The conflict between Nahdatul Ulama (NU) and Muhammadiyah (MU) in Indonesia is basically not the first time this has occurred, including Aceh. As it is known that in Aceh the majority of Muslims are NU-oriented. The role of Ulama Dayah also influenced the turmoil between NU and MU in Aceh. Muhammdiyah's position as a Muslim minority and the understanding of the people who regard them as part of Wahhabism in Aceh became the strongest factors causing the conflict between the two camps. In Bireun Regency, precisely in Samalanga sub-district, the conflict between NU and MU has caused turmoil that resulted in the rejection of the mosque construction in 2016 to 2019. The purpose of this study is to examine how the intra-religious harmonization between NU and MU after the conflict. And how are the efforts made by the local government in mediating in solving the conflict between NU and MU. This research is a descriptive qualitative research with the type of field research (Field Research). The data collection technique was carried out using the documentation method on several sources related to the conflict between NU and MU in several print and online media. Then the researchers also made observations to the post-conflict community and finally conducted interviews with 1 resident and security forces in the Samalanga sub-district, Sangso village. Data analysis technique is done by reducing, presenting and concluding. The results showed that after the conflict related to the termination of the construction of the MU mosque in Samalanga District, Sangso Village, it had an impact on the disharmony of intra-religious people.

Abstract

The communication process to prevent repeated land fires is carried out by conveying information about the impact of fires and their prevention. The disaster communication process and prevention scheme have been planned. However, peatland fires in South Sumatra are still recurring, so it is necessary to review the disaster communication steps that have been taken. Disaster communication management is always needed both in emergency and post-disaster conditions. This study aims to evaluate and describe disaster communication management in preventing peatland fires in South Sumatra. This study uses a qualitative method with an evaluative study approach. Collecting data was done using interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis in this study used an interactive analysis model. The results of this study indicate that the elements of disaster communication management used in efforts to prevent peatland fires in South Sumatra consist of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating.

Abstract

This research is elaborated with the intention of examining and critiquing whether cyber journalism today still exhibits a patriarchal attitude. Qualitative is a method applied by the Sara Mills Model of Critical Discourse Analysis as the basis for data analysis. The study results found that SindoNews.com is marginalized women-headed (widows) in their reporting. From January to March 2022, it was found that there were 60 news headlines about widows and 9 (nine) news headlines about widowers on the website. SindoNews.com reports in an unbalanced manner by disclosing the current percentage of widows but does not report the percentage of widowers in the same portion of news. In fact, when a divorce occurs, is not only the status of a widow, but also a widower. Then there are some news stories that discuss widowers and widows in the same portion of the news, but the titles that are highlighted are only widow status. SindowNews.com seems to prefer frying the word widow as the selling point of the news here. In addition, the status of widows was also found to be interpreted with negative tendencies, such as seductive names, thirst for sex life, women who should be pitied, perpetrators of crime, easy women, and other wild meanings. Based on the journalistic code of ethics, especially in articles (1) and (3), this kind of reporting is not feasible because the aspect of balance still needs to be fulfilled. However, the author does not deny that SindoNews.com also reports on widow cases with a positive tendency, although the intensity is small.

Abstract

Media relations in Central Aceh between the Tourism Office and journalists are a central point for increasing the promotion of tourism destinations in 2022 in Central Aceh Aceh Province. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. As a tourist area, information is important, one of which is delivered through social media in the form of online, audio/video, and printed information. Therefore, a strategy is needed for approaching relations with the mass media, such as journalists, media entrepreneurs, professional associations of journalists, and associations of media entrepreneurs. In the study of media relations, at least some of the commonly used strategies are known: Press Tours, Media Gatherings, Press releases, Press conferences, Press Receptions, Press Relations, and Media Events. The last part is the evaluation of the practice of media relations strategy. Evaluations aim to analyze whether the strategy used is applicable and followed by the increase in tourist numbers. On the other hand, to reveal if tourists receive information from the mass media or social media, which has been growing rapidly recently in the country. The presence of digital technology helps facilitate official relations with media actors. The presence of various image, text, and video-sending applications makes this relationship should be easier. As a result, the target of bringing in more and more tourists was achieved. In this context, the Central Aceh Tourism Office has used a media relations strategy, but it has not been maximized due to the limited budget available in the 2022 Central Aceh Regional Budget.

Abstract

This article researches the East Aceh regency government's effort to give the concept and persuade society around tourism destination places related to the halal tourism concept raised by the government. This research uses a constructive paradigm and also a qualitative approach. Maximum variation technique is used in collecting data, consideration of large area and diversity of people to be involved; all of these are the key factor in this case. Data collection is sliced using the Diffusion Theory cutter by Gabriel Tarde. The result of this research shows that many communication available ways are used in making an effort by the East Aceh government, including by making an interpersonal approach with the informal leader and leading religious figures give impact toward implementing halal tourism in East Aceh regency.

Abstract

In this technological era, it is effortless to be exposed to radicalism and terrorism. Moreover, Aceh, a former conflict area, is considered very worthy of being declared violent by certain groups. Moreover, this understanding will enter the dayah environment, affecting the students. The research entitled Da'wah is about cultivating character values ​​and their relevance to preventing radicalism among students in Aceh Jaya Regency. Using qualitative research methods, data were collected through interviews, documentation and observations in several dayahs in Aceh Jaya District. The study results reveal that the views of the dayah ulama in Aceh Jaya reject radicalism and terrorism. To prevent the exposure of radicalism among the santri, the dayah ulama in Aceh Jaya district carried out da'wah to instill character values ​​in students through the exemplary attitude of the dayah ulama. Encourage students to get used to memorizing the Qur'an and recitation of the yellow book. Moreover, the cultivation of character values ​​through activities to commemorate significant holidays.
