Abstract

Electrical energy is one of the needs that can not be separated from human life in general. The demand for electrical energy over time is increasing, for which an unlimited source of renewable energy availability in nature needs to be developed to meet the needs of electrical energy. In the city of Jambi and its surroundings, the state of the territory is covered by a stream of batanghari river flow and extensive field conditions, free from the wind barriers both the trees and buildings for which this condition is required to undertake more in-depth research studies of wind power, using wind speed data at a certain height allows for the availability of electrical energy. In this study the location to determine the parameters of wind energy is in the city of Jambi with geographic position at coordinates 1.59,103,600-219, this study uses explorative survey method by conducting direct measurement in the field, this study aims to determine the potential of wind energy that can be converted into electrical energy, how decent wind speed conditions in the city of Jambi to be utilized into electrical energy. From the data obtained, the average wind speed in a year using primary data at 2 meters from the batanghari river edge is 2.45 m / s and the maximum effective power produced by the windmill assuming the 4 m2 cross-sectional area is 374.68 Watt which occurs in July, when applied to the Micro Wind Turbine Z - 400W [5] specification can generate electrical energy, but the resulting electrical energy capacity is very small.

Abstract

Nowadays almost all electric convertible equipments are in motion using Brushless Direct Current (BLDC) motors, because BLDC motors have high efficiency and energy density because the lack of brush makes BLDC motors reliable enough, maintenance is cheap and can be used for high speed. This research is more emphasized on the controller unit using DRV 11873 IC which has EVM (Evaluation Module) as strong magnetic induction enhancer in BLDC motor winding (stator) with Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) duty cycle mode, the result of research shows the relationship between the addition of duty cycle PWM and the addition of a large supply voltage V (V) given to the 3 phase Phas motor BLDC to the motor speed change (RPM). Through the calculation of coefficient of determination (R2) each experimental results between the change of power supply voltage (V) to the speed (RPM) obtained 0.998 and the calculation of coefficient of determination (R2) change duty cycle PWM signal to the speed (RPM) 0.996.

Abstract

The city of Jambi is dibentangi River batanghari, study on utilization of renewable electricity in particular an against water power through Streams need to be consider for perencanan Micro Hydro power plant (PLTMH). Water conditions that can be utilized as a resource (resources) electric generator has a capacity of flow and elevation of water channel system. The main problems in hydropower generation is the availability of water of the river discharge as energy for propulsion power plant. Therefore it takes a specific technique to predict the potential flow of river water on all the time or signature debit River that can be used for energy micro hydro power plant, not the onset of rain with a long time as well as the condition of watersheds (DAS) that can cause critical flow of river water into small even dried up. River discharge measurements manually at any given time can only represent the volume of discharge of the River at the time of measurement is performed. Changes that occur due to the onset of rain in the next time, or decrease in discharge of the River because the groundwater deposits shrink, can not be observed with either it needs to be planned debit kontiniu for turbine generator round capacity taking into account the capacity of electricity from generators that can be optimally raised

Abstract

The city of Jambi is an area batanghari river, the study of the utilization of renewable energy, especially hydro power through the tributaries should be considered for the planning of Micro Hydro Power Plant (PLTMH). Water conditions that can be utilized as electricity generating resources have a certain flow capacity and altitude of their drainage system. A major problem in hydroelectric generation is the availability of river water discharge as a propulsion energy. Therefore, certain techniques are needed to predict the potential flow of river water at all times or the river's main discharge that can be used for hydro-electric power generation, no long-term rainfall and critical watershed conditions can cause water flow the stream becomes small and even becomes dry. Manual river flow measurements over time can only represent the volume of river flow at the time of measurement. Changes that occur due to the occurrence of rain at a later time, or decrease in river discharge due to decreased soil water savings, can not be monitored properly it is necessary to plan a continuous discharge for the capacity of generator turbine rotation by calculating the electrical capacity of the generator which can be generated optimally
