Abstract

The demographic bonus by 2030 requires everyone to compete for jobs. Cultivating character and entrepreneurial thinking is an alternative to dealing with limited employment opportunities. This study aims investigate the increase of entrepreneurial science thinking through the STEM-PjBL integration learning model on alternative energy sources. This study used the Mix Method method in the form of a Sequential Explanatory design that used quantitative data as the main data, while qualitative data as supporting data. From the resulted of observations on four aspects of entrepreneurial science thinking, all aspects have a percentage above 70% so that they are included in the criteria quite well. The results of these observations indicated that the research carried out is in accordance with the research objective, namely the integration of STEM-PjBL can improve entrepreneurial science thinking.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a real-time temperature monitoring instrument based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The research steps were design of a series of tools consisting of a Nodemcu microcontroller and an LM35 sensor, developing a tool that has been designed, testing the tool, and evaluating it. Performance analysis of the tool was carried out by measuring the relative error of the tool that has been developed with a standard thermometer. The result showed that the instrument's accuracy is 99.96% and the relative error percentage is 0.71%. It can be concluded that a room temperature measurement instrument with an IoT-based LM35 sensor can work well.

Abstract

This research was conducted to verify the effect of the color of the object's surface on the absorption of solar radiation. The purpose of this study was to determine how the effect of surface color on the absorption of solar radiation. The activity used an acrylic box covered by stickers of various colors, placed under the sun, then measured the heat absorption of the covered liquid using a digital thermometer. The results showed that there was an effect of the color of the object's surface on the absorption of solar radiation which was indicated by the difference in the temperature increase of the covered liquid. The hypothesis can be accepted at the 95% confidence level. The order surface color of objects on the absorption level of solar heat is black, green, red, purple, yellow, pink, blue and white from the highest to the lowest.

Abstract

Good physics teaching materials are teaching materials that present physics concepts that can be understood by students easily and can attract students to read and study physics. However, its implementation is currently not running perfectly. The Q-SETS-based physics teaching materials containing characters are expected to be a solution to encourage students' interest in learning physics, given that interest in learning is an important factor in achieving the success of education. This study intends to analyze the increase in students' interest in learning after using these teaching materials. The method used in this study is an experimental method with students of class X RPL 2 and X MM 3 SMK Negeri 8 Semarang as research subjects. The results of the students' interest in learning before and after being given the Q-SETS-based physics teaching materials containing the characters were 70.08% and 80.51%, respectively. Then, there was a medium category containing an increase in learning interest with an N-gain of 0.35.

Abstract

Water is a natural resource that is very important for human life and other creatures. Water is used to meet various needs, including bathing, drinking, cooking, and washing. This study aimed to determine the quality of healthy water in the village of Pasuruhan Kidul Jati Kudus. One of the parameters measured for hygiene sanitation is a physical parameter. Measurement of physical parameters is the first step in analyzing water quality. In this study, several physical parameters were used to determine water quality, including temperature, turbidity, color, Total Dissolved Solid (TDS), taste, smell, and pH. This research was conducted for 7 days in three different places: home, mosque, and school. The method used in this research is to analyze the water quality of wells, mosques, and schools in Pasuruan Kidul Village. The results showed that the temperature values in the three places were around 29.4-29.6°C, the turbidity of the three places was 1 NTU, the water in all places was colorless, tasteless, odorless, the value of Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) at the three places the value is around 412.8-418.4 (mg/l), and the pH is 7.4 so that the water quality in the three places is below the maximum water quality standard threshold.

Abstract

The world change in the industrial revolution 4.0 is the state of the industry in the 21st century that combines automation and cyber technology. Education is one of the fields that is experiencing the impacts of the changes in the industrial revolution 4.0. The skills needed in this era was the literacy skills consisting of three new literacys, namely data, technological, and human literacy. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of practicum activities on increasing data literacy of high school students. The method used in this study was a mix method with a concurrent embedded design, while the experimental design used was a one group pretest-posttest design. The instrument used was a written test with 10 numbers to get a pretest-posttest score. The pretest-posttest scores were used to measure the improvement of students' data literacy. The results of data analysis using the t-test paired samples t-test obtained the average value of the pretest and posttest scores significantly different with the value of tcount ttable that is 4.770 2.042 with an effect size of 0.83. It can be concluded that there is an effect of practicum activities on increasing data literacy of high school students with high categories.
