Abstract

The rapid development of technology plays an important role in the rapid exchange of information. In sending information in the form of images, there are still problems, including because of the large size of the image so that the solution to this problem is to perform compression. In this thesis, we will implement and compare the performance of the Arithmetic Coding and Shannon-Fano algorithms by calculating the compression ratio, compressed file size, compression and decompression process speed. Based on all test results, that the Arithmetic Coding algorithm produces an average compression ratio of 62.88% and a Shannon-Fano compression ratio of 61.73%, then Arithmetic Coding the average speed in image compression is 0.072449 seconds and Shannon-Fano 0.077838 second. Then the Shannon-Fano algorithm has an average speed for decompression of 0.028946 seconds and the Arithmetic Coding algorithm 0.034169 seconds. The decompressed image on the Arithmetic Coding and Shannon-Fano algorithm is in accordance with the original image. It can be concluded from the test results that the Arithmetic Coding algorithm is more efficient in compressing *.png images than the Shannon-Fano algorithm, although in terms of decompression Shannon-Fanose is a little faster compared to Arithmetic Coding.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and evaluate the existing assessment system/procedure and to produce a decision support system for selecting the best employee based on employee performance at PT Smart Glove Indonesia. The selection of the best employees at this time is based on the leadership's personal assessment with reference to the criteria of knowledge, responsibility, cooperation, discipline, and employee attendance which results in irrelevant decisions due to lack of control from the leadership. This system was developed using the multi-attributive border approximation area comparison (MABAC) method using MySQL programming and Microsoft Visual Basic Net 2008. This information system can be used to process employee data in the employee evaluation process and selecting the best employees. The output of this system is the calculation value of the best employee selection at PT Smart Glove Indonesia using the multi-attributive border approximation area comparison (MABAC) method and the best employee recommendation for PT Smart Glove Indonesia

Abstract

Procurement of goods and services is one of the initial stages in the procurement of a project, including the selection of project vendors. Some of the problems that exist when working on a project such as delays in the provision of spare parts and incompetent experts in project work greatly affect the smooth running of the project. The right vendor selection is one of the keys to the company's success in completing a project. The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is a method that can help companies make decisions, especially in the selection of project vendors. From the results of calculations using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method for the selection of project vendors based on the main criteria, the most important in selecting project vendors is quality with a weight of 0.36, Vendor B is in first place with a weight of 0.35 or equal to 33.1%, vendor A is in the second position at 0.30 or 27.4%, vendor D is in the third position at 0.18 or 21.4%, the last position is occupied by vendor C at 0.17 or 18.1%

Abstract

Along with the rise of the Covid-19 outbreak, it is increasingly difficult for humans to convey the symbols of Islam, especially the scholars and preachers. One way to overcome limitations in conveying Islamic symbols is by utilizing interactive media based on 3D animation. The interactive media built can provide information about Islamic symbols with the theme of juvenile delinquency aimed at the general public, especially teenagers. This 3D animation is designed using Blender software. The manufacturing process starts from determining story ideas, making storyboards, object modeling, giving textures, moving animations, dams to rendering. The final result of this animation is an interactive video equipped with background music and sound from the object. Interactive Islamic syi'ar media based on 3D animation during this pandemic as education to overcome juvenile delinquency in the community, so that this media can be useful and useful for teenagers

Abstract

PT. Telkom (Telekomunikasi Indonesia) is a state-owned enterprise that has an important contribution to society because it is engaged in telecommunications services. Indihome is one of the service products from PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia, which provides packages of landline, internet, and television services. In an effort to provide information services, it is necessary to evaluate the performance of internet services so that the service provider is able to maintain performance and improve performance where there are still shortcomings in performance from the user's point of view. To determine the level of service performance, this research was carried out by applying the servqual method and Importance Performance Analysis. The assessment of user satisfaction is based on five dimensions, namely Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, Empathy and Tangibles which later on each attribute performance will be classified into quadrant I which is the main priority to improve its service, quadra II attributes that need to be maintained because they have provided satisfactory service, quadrant III attributes that have low priority and quadrant IV attributes that are considered less important but have good performance. The results of this study indicate that the largest gap or gap lies in the Responsiveness dimension with a value of -1.00 and the smallest gap in the Empathy dimension with a value of -0.43. while based on the calculation of the Importance Performance Analysis the overall user suitability level is 83% which means that the services provided by the agency/company are in accordance with the user's perception. Where the user's perception of website services has been fulfilled
