Abstract

This study has purpose to analyze the effect of transactional leadership styles, transformational leadership styles, and motivation on the performance of academic staff. This study was conducted at the State Islamic Institute of Surakarta with a total sample of 30 respondents in 2020 by using simple random sampling. The results of the analysis on the variable transactional leadership style showed the value of t = 3.183 and a probability of 0.002, which means that the transactional leadership style has an effect on the performance of academic staff. Then, the results of the analysis on transformational leadership style variables showed the value of tcount = 3.418 and a probability of 0.003, which means that the transformational leadership style has an effect on performance. And the results of the analysis on the work motivation variable showed the value of tcount = 2.251 and a probability of 0.032, when compared to ttable (2.056) which means that work motivation has an effect on performance. Keywords: transformational leadership, transactional leadership, work motivation, and academic staff performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of inflation, US dollar exchange rates, interest rates, and world oil prices on fluctuations in gold prices in Indonesia in 2014 - 2019. This research is a type of explanatory research with a quantitative approach. The data used are monthly time series data for 2014 - 2019 with a sample of 72 samples. The multiple linear regression model is used as an analysis technique in this study. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously (F test) inflation, USD exchange rates, interest rates, and world oil prices have a significant effect on gold price fluctuations in Indonesia. Partially (t-test) shows that the USD exchange rate has a significant positive effect on gold price fluctuations in Indonesia. Inflation and interest rates have a negative and insignificant effect on fluctuations in gold prices in Indonesia. Meanwhile, world oil prices have a positive and insignificant effect on gold price fluctuations in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of system quality, information quality and service quality on user satisfaction of e-learning systems in lectures at STEKOM University. The sampling technique used Probability Sampling with the Simple Random Sampling approach of 66 respondents then processed as research data. The method of analysis uses Multiple Linear Regression to test the hypothesis with the t test and F test. Contribution of the influence of independent variables to the dependent variable uses the Adjusted R coefficient of determination. The results show partially and simultaneously system quality, information quality and service quality have a significant effect on user satisfaction. The quality of information is the dominant variable that affects user satisfaction of the academic information system of STEKOM University lecturers. User satisfaction of 50.3% is influenced by the variables in this study, while 49.7% is influenced by other variables.

The research sample was 16 companies. The sampling technique in the research used the purposive sampling method. This research uses multiple linear regression analysis and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) with the help of the IBM SPSS 24 program. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously the variables of defererred tax expense, tax planning, managerial ownership affect earnings management. Whereas partially deffered tax expense affect earnings management, tax planning and managerial ownership do not affect earnings management. Institusional ownership is able to influence (weaken) the relationship between deffered tax expense on earnings management, institusional ownership is able to influence (strengthen) the relationship between managerial ownership on earnings management, but institusional ownership is not able to influence the relationship between tax planning on earnings management
