Abstract

The videos for making fashion patterns taken by teachers from YouTube only fulfilled some indicators in making pattern subjects. It was caused by time limitations in creating audiovisuals by the teacher. Furthermore, some teachers also did not master IT especially in making audio-visual media. The students faced difficulty in understanding making robe patterns based on the design without the teacher’s guidance when the teacher used the lecture method, job sheet, and module. The purposes were (1) to examine the audio-visual learning media in the competency of making robe patterns based on the design. (2) to examine the effectiveness of learning media and (3) to examine the practicality of it in the competency of making robe patterns based on the design. The research model applied ADDIE. The result showed the audio-visual learning media was proved feasible by material and media experts where The CVR achieved more than 0,75. Audio-visual learning media was effective in the learning process since it showed an improvement in learning outcomes. The results of the t-test with a significance of 0 and the N-gain test results of 53.60%. This media was very practical in making robe patterns with a percentage gained 89.58% from students’ users and 94.92% from teachers.

Abstract

Augmented Reality is a technology that can incorporate virtual objects in two or three dimensions into a real environment in real time. In the current Industrial Revolution 4.0 era, AR technology is widely used in the fields of games, medicine, and image processing, while it is rarely used in the field of education. The purpose of the present study is (1) to describe the process of developing learning media based on Augmented Reality in material technology course. (2) to produce learning media based on Augmented Reality on concrete compressive strength test material that is valid, practical, and effective. This type of research is research and development (RD). The development process refers to the ADDIE development model which consists of five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results showed that the average validity score of Augmented Reality-based learning media about concrete compressive test was 4.51 in the very valid category. Based on student response data, it showed that students had a positive response to the augmented reality-based learning media on concrete compressive strength test, showing a minimum of 89.96% or more students responding in the agree category, for each aspect that was responded to. Around 95.44% of students were able to achieve the value of learning completeness criteria so that the Augmented Reality-based learning media was categorized as effective.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop audio-visual learning media to increase the ability to demonstrate fantasy makeup skills and analyze the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of audio-visual media for fantasy makeup courses in the Beauty Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Semarang. This study applied the Research and Development method with the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were 5th semester students of the cosmetology education study program totaling 30 students. The analysis of this research is audio visual media of wound character makeup. The instruments used by researchers were interview guidelines, media practicality questionnaires and questionnaires to measure the level of media feasibility. In order to test the validity, content validity test through expert opinion and questionnaire reliability using the KR20 formula were used. Data collection used one group pre-test post-test design which was then analyzed for normality and homogeneity tests. Based on the feasibility test, practicality test, and effectiveness test of audio-visual media to improve the ability to demonstrate fantasy makeup skills developed, according to the responses of media experts and material experts, the media is very feasible. Based on the responses of lecturers and students as user responses, the practicality of the media obtained very practical assessment criteria. From the effectiveness test in the experimental class, the media obtained quite effective and significant criteria to improve the ability to demonstrate fantasy makeup skills in the Beauty Education Study Program of Universitas Negeri Semarang.

Abstract

The widespread use of smartphones among students has not been fully utilized to support the learning process. This study aims to develop interactive Android-based learning media that is attractive to eleventh grade students of KGSP to improve basic competence in analyzing clean water pipe installation systems. The research method used in the development of interactive learning media is research and development (RD). The development model used is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). It is design model that is more generic and serves as a guide in developing tools and infrastructure for effective training programs. Data analysis is used to determine the level of feasibility, the level of practicality, and to determine the effectiveness of Android learning media to improve basic competence in analyzing clean water pipe installation systems. Based on the obtained data, it can be concluded that the criteria of the media are very feasible, very practical, effective, and significant for increasing the basic competence of analyzing clean water pipe installation systems for SMK students in the KGSP expertise program.

Abstract

The implementation of the Internship program in the context of "Merdeka Belajar” and “Kurikulum Merdeka"  (MBKM) still faces fundamental problems, resulting in activities that have not had the maximum impact, namely the  realization of work readiness, work culture, soft skill competencies and hard skill competencies that are aligned with the  field of study. This study aims to find a formula for synchronizing the internship program that is in line with the independent learning policy (Merdeka Belajar) in preparing apprentice students to face very tight competition entering the job market in the industrial era 4.0. The other objective is to realize several Vocational Education Management Study Center programs. The results of the study from this study center can be developed into a real program to improve the implementation of the MBKM internship. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach. To obtain research data, FGD activities, interviews with IDUKA actors, vocational education experts, the Human Resources Development (HRD) community and related practitioners were used. Data analysis techniques are confirmation, triangulation, and accountability cross checks. The results of the study show that the alignment of the certified internship program is carried out through agreements with partner industries; the number of credit conversions as the right of apprentice students can be achieved by developing a syllabus and study plan that integrates industry needs; the mentoring process is carried out collaboratively between the industrial assistance team and the university.

Abstract

In the development of competency assessment instruments, it becomes possible to eliminate the weaknesses of previous competency assessment instruments. It results in an ideal competency assessment that can enhance students' competencies in the Automotive Engineering program. The aim of this research is to develop an assessment instrument for vocational high school students' competency test in automotive technician positions in the professional automotive field. This research follows the Research and Development (RD) approach, specifically the ADDIE model, which stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The instrument used in this study consists of questionnaires. The questionnaires were employed to assess the validity, practicality, and to determine factor analysis. The data for the validity of the assessment instrument were collected from assessment experts (assessors), subject matter experts from the business and industrial sector (Indonesian: Dunia Usaha Dunia Industri, DUDI), and evaluation experts (lecturers). The practicality data of the assessment instrument in this research were gathered from automotive teachers at Semarang State Vocational High School 1.Based on the data analysis results, the validity test yielded a score of 4.60, which indicates a significantly valid instrument. The practicality test resulted in a 91% score, meeting the criteria for a highly practical instrument. Additionally, the factor analysis showed that the Sum of Loadings of Factors (SLF) for 60 items was ≥ 0.5, indicating that all items were proven valid. Therefore, it can be concluded that this competency assessment instrument possesses good construct validity and reliability.
