It is interested in the study of curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment, as well as economic, cultural and political aspects related to the role of vocational and professional education and training in society.

Abstract

The development of technology in education helped to increase learning quality. Existing developments required the world of education to adapt. Students' characterization in the XXI century was a generation that was closed to digitalization, so the teacher had to understand that learning media at school must carry out advanced technology. Specifically, the research purpose was: to develop media with adobe flash, to dig up the feasibility of learning media in the competency of an anti-lock brake system, and to know the improvement of learning outcomes in an anti-lock brake system. This research applied the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The data analysis consisted of determining the feasibility of learning media and deciding the media effectiveness. The feasibility test showed that the media was very feasible. The developed media was tested by N-Gain and got the effectivity until 76%, or it can be declared effective since t-count 18.13t-table, and Ha was accepted while H0 was refused. It can be concluded that adobe flash media with android-based can improve students' learning outcomes, especially in the Anti-Lock Brake Sistem at XII TKRO 1.

Abstract

The implementation of Pattern Making learning is closely tied to exploratory understanding, aiming to produce digital patterns and designs for party attire in accordance with the desired theme. Limited book references and modules, along with the scarcity of teaching media, have led to a low level of student comprehension regarding the learning material. The objective of this research is to develop an e-module using CLO3D software for creating digital patterns and designs for party attire. This study follows the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) RD development type. The instruments employed include a questionnaire to assess the e-module's levels of feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness. Feasibility testing data sources involve media experts and fashion material experts. Practicality testing data sources encompass fashion program teachers and 36 students from class XI at State Vocational High School 1 Pringapus. Effectiveness testing data sources consist of 36 students from class XI B1 as the experimental group and 36 students from class XI B3 as the control group at Vocational High School N 1 Pringapus. Based on the data analysis results, the feasibility testing yielded a score of 4.40 (criteria: very feasible), practicality testing resulted in a score of 92% (criteria: very practical), effectiveness analysis produced a score of 79% (criteria: effective), and the significance test analysis showed that the N-Gain_Persen obtained a Sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 (smaller than the significance level of 0.05). This indicates that the data is effectively and significantly distributed, thereby confirming its suitability for use.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop a SPA services-oriented learning model to increase students soft skills. The present study applied Research and Development (RnD) with the ADDIE model. A validity and reliability instrument in the module was conducted by 4 media experts, 5 material experts, 10 teachers, and 30 students. the researcher applied feasibility, practicality, and effectivity analyses after the validity and reliability test. The content validity test result (Content Validity Ratio) showed that the CVI of media and material experts were 0.98 and 0.97, or it can be stated as a valid category. The reliability test depicted that Cronbach's Alpha got 0.707 and 0.766 categorized as reliable.  In terms of feasibility, the research achieved 81.25% from media experts and 88.88% from material experts with a very feasible category. The practicality test results from teacher and student responses obtained 79.30% and 76.50% of the percentage or declared as in the practical category. In addition, the effectiveness test showed that the soft skills aspect was 56.06%, and the psychomotor aspect achieved 70.56% or stated as the quite effective category. According to the analysis results, the developed learning module has been declared feasible, practical, and effective to be used in learning body treatment material and can improve the soft skill and psychomotor aspects of Beauty and SPA Vocational School students.

Abstract

Learning activities on fantasy hair bun material require students to create the design of the arrangement before engaging in practical activities. However, the practical results of the fantasy hair bun do not align with the students' initial designs. Students find it challenging to produce fantasy hair bun arrangements that match their created designs. This study aims to analyze the feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness of the Project-Based Learning teaching materials on fantasy hair bun. The research adopts the Research and Development (RD) method with the ADDIE procedure, which consists of Analyse, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation stages. The research design used a Quasi-Experiment. The results of the feasibility test, based on assessments by three experts, produced an average score of 3.64, indicating a highly feasible category. The practicality test results, conducted with 36 students, produced a total score of 1909 with an average score of 53.2, falling under the highly practical category. The effectiveness test used the N-gain test which was carried out in both classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The results of the N-gain calculation of the experimental class were 0.42 while the average N-gain of the control class was 0.10, so learning using the PjBL model teaching materials was more effective in improving student learning outcomes on bun material development research resulted in a product in the form of Project-Based Learning model teaching materials that have a positive and beneficial impact on fantasy hair bun learning activities. Based on the research findings, the developed Project-Based Learning teaching materials are highly feasible, highly practical, and effective for use in fantasy hair bun material learning.

Abstract

This research aims to develop and analyze the feasibility and effectiveness of an Internet of Things (IoT)-controlled Solar Power Generator (PLTS) trainer kit. The research method employed is a quantitative approach using the Research and Development (RnD) method, following the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data collection is conducted through questionnaires and tests. Questionnaires are used to assess the suitability of the media by media experts and subject matter experts, while tests are used to measure student competence improvement before and after the treatment. The research results indicate that the PLTS trainer kit with IoT control has high feasibility, with a score of 87% from media experts and 88% from subject matter experts, categorizing it as highly feasible. The t-test results show a significant increase in student competence, with an average pre-test score of 58.4 and a post-test score of 76.16. Statistical analysis reveals a calculated t-value of -7.79 and a tabulated t-value of 2.00. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H0) is accepted, indicating a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test. As a recommendation, the researchers suggest that schools should provide adequate facilities for practical learning using the trainer kit. Furthermore, future research could focus on the development of IoT trainers, particularly within the SCADA system.

Abstract

The industry has a different view of prospective workers. Competency certificates recommended by third and second parties (LSP P3 and LSP P2) have stronger legitimacy than LSP P1 SMK. Quality assurance of the implementation of competency certification tests through the development of competency test materials needs to be improved.Specifically, this study aims to: Develop MUK; Find out its eligibility; Find out its practicality; Find out the internal validity and reliability of the Multiple Choice Questions; Find out its effectiveness; and Find out the effectiveness of the utilization of facilities and infrastructure of the Competency Test Site (TUK).This MUK development research uses the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The data analysis used in this study consisted of: Determining eligibility; Determining practicality; Determining the internal validity and reliability of multiple-choice questions; Determining the effectiveness and Determining the effectiveness of the utilization of TUK facilities and infrastructure.The result of the due diligence was included in the criteria of being very eligible. The Practicality Test fell into the criteria of being very practical. The internal validity test of multiple-choice questions showed 77 of 86 valid and the internal reliability test of multiple-choice questions was very high. Effectiveness tests fell under the criteria of being very effective. The effectiveness test of the utilization of TUK facilities and infrastructure was included in the criteria of being very effective.The new findings in this study are, the MUK of motorcycle periodic maintenance cluster industrial based consists of multiple choice test, oral test and demonstration practice tasks adapted to the latest knowledge of motorcycle technology product, the suitability of the required working time (Flat Rate Service Time) and the implementation of the work culture on Safety Talk and 5 Rs (Concise, Neat, Clean, Caring and Diligent).Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that, the development of MUK is very eligible, practical and effective to be used in improving the quality of the competency certification test of the LSP P1 SMK on Motorcycle Periodic Maintenance Cluster.

Abstract

AREK, or Asistif Rompi Elektronik Kambang, is a safety tool for blind people to help them swim and exercise. Blind people have so many problems with swimming exercises. They can sink or be guided in the middle of training. AREK can give the entry-level blind swimmer a GPS-like system that is safe from sinking incidents and accidents. Trainers can only make close contact with swimmers during the COVID-19 pandemic with a safety system and GPS guide. Level-blind swimmers can train safely in the middle of the swimming pool. Especially for students who experience special needs. The approach used is Research and Development (RD). Products using the ADDIE process remain one of the most effective tools today. Because the ADDIE model is a process that serves as a guiding framework for complex situations, it is appropriate to develop AREK to be more accessible to learners' diverse characteristics and special needs. The results in this study using AREK are very feasible, with a feasibility test by two validators with a result of 3.25 and tested by 15 blind vocational students with a result of 3.58. The conclusion is that the development of learning models is stated to be usable in blind and decent vocational students.

Abstract

The learning achievement in the field of safety, occupational health, and environmental protection (K3LH) material is suboptimal, even though in the industrial sector, it serves as the fundamental knowledge for establishing a healthy and safe working environment. Therefore, the objective of this research is to analyze the procedure for developing an Android-based K3LH e-module, assess the feasibility of the e-modules, evaluate their practicality, and ascertain their effectiveness by measuring student competency scores. The research methodology employs the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) approach model, involving 37 respondents who are 10th-grade students specializing in Information and Communication Technology Competency at SMK Ma'arif NU Paguyangan. The outcomes revealed that the e-module demonstrated a high level of feasibility, as determined through expert validation, comprehensive features, and user-friendly design. The module's practicality was also substantiated by user data, indicating a high level of practicality. Furthermore, the increased competency results indicated the effectiveness of the presented modules. In conclusion, this research establishes that the developed e-module effectively enhances student competence in HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) material. It offers several advantages, including comprehensive features, the inclusion of mini-games that pique student interest in module utilization, and easy accessibility, which allows for more flexible exploration of the material.

Abstract

Vocational psychology is a study or science that is applied in observing behavior in vocational education. The aim of vocational psychology is to determine vocational choices based on students' interests and talents. The Construction and Housing Engineering vocational competency aims to develop competency in the construction sector. Schools have demands to be able to fulfill aspects of providing adequate facilities and education so that Construction and Housing Engineering can carry out learning activities. In fulfilling DU/DI requests, Construction and Housing Engineering graduates must have good competencies. In fulfilling competencies for students, there are several psychological factors, namely internal and external factors. Internal factors in students are the student's personality, knowledge of the student's interests and talents, and aspirations. External factors are influenced by the social environment, family, school and place of residence.

Abstract

The quality of management in the practical workshop area determines the quality of practical activities in it. Teachers need to prepare a good workshop implementation process by paying attention to everything, starting from the effectiveness of implementation to achieving implementation that provides good habits for students in it. In this case, the thing that is being considered is the implementation of the 5S/5R culture.This research uses Research and Development using the ADDIE development model. The assessment of the suitability of the media being developed is carried out by a judgment expert. The product trial was carried out at SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga with 36 students in the experimental class. Data collection from experts uses material and media validation instruments for product suitability, while data collection on application to students uses teacher assessment through observation instruments and checklist data by researchers to test product effectiveness.The results of this research show (1) that the product developed is a module for management of tools and materials for Vocational High School concrete workshops; (2) The product is declared valid and reliable using the Aiken v test and expert percentage. (3) the module was developed practically based on responses from Experts/Validators consisting of lecturers and teachers practicing Construction and Housing Engineering (4) effectiveness testing using the N Gain test showed that the data for the experimental and control classes had increased with a percentage of 47.59%.
