Abstract

The General Background Water is essential for human life, but many rural areas still lack access to clean drinking water that meets health standards. In Sumbergedang Village, Pandaan, local water sources are often contaminated by dissolved metals and bacteria, posing risks to community health. Current filtration methods in the area are insufficient, and limited studies explore the combined use of silica sand, activated carbon, manganese zeolite, and UV sterilization for improving rural water quality. This study aims to evaluate the performance of these filtration materials and UV sterilization in producing safe drinking water for the village. The results show that the filtration system increased the pH of the water from 7.94 to 7.98, within acceptable drinking water standards. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of filtration materials with UV sterilization to address both chemical and microbial contaminants, offering a comprehensive solution for water purification. The findings suggest that, while the system effectively improves most water quality parameters, additional treatments may be required to reduce aluminum levels to meet national drinking water standards. These results have important implications for water management in rural areas facing similar challenges. Highlihts: The study combines mangan zeolite, silica sand, and activated carbon with UV sterilization for effective water purification. Filtration and UV treatment significantly reduced turbidity, odors, and bacterial contamination in spring water. Aluminum levels exceeded permissible limits, indicating the need for further modifications to the filtration system. Keywords: Water quality, filtration, UV sterilization, rural communities, aluminum levels

Abstract

General background of this research focuses on the use of medical record forms in inpatient clinics, particularly at the Afifa Prambon Clinic. Specific background indicates that the forms currently used may not meet expected standards, both in terms of physical, anatomical, and content aspects. Knowledge gap lies in the lack of comprehensive analysis of the compliance of these forms with Huffman's theory. The aim of this study is to analyze the design of medical record forms at the Afifa Clinic based on physical, anatomical, and content aspects. Results of the research show that the physical aspect of the form is inadequate, such as the use of paper material that easily tears, and the anatomical aspect also does not meet standards, including the absence of form numbers and filling instructions. The novelty of this study lies in identifying the elements that need improvement in the form design and providing recommendations for enhancements. The implication of this research emphasizes the importance of improving form design to enhance the quality of medical record filling, which in turn can contribute to better healthcare services in the clinic. Highlight: Role of Music: National songs serve as powerful tools for fostering patriotism among students. Teacher Involvement: Teachers play a crucial role in integrating national songs into the curriculum. Cognitive Connection: Singing national songs enhances students' emotional and cognitive ties to their country. Keyword: Nationalism, Education, National Songs, Character Development, Patriotism

Abstract

The general background highlights the growing popularity of coffee enemas, necessitating improvements in product design for better usability and economic viability. The specific background addresses inefficiencies in existing enema basket designs, which often lack user-friendly features. The knowledge gap identified is the absence of systematic approaches to optimize both manufacturing and assembly processes for this product category. The aim of the research is to develop a more efficient and safer design by employing the DFMA methodology. Results indicate that the new design not only reduces the number of components by two but also achieves a 36% improvement in assembly time and a 13% reduction in assembly costs. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of additional safety features while maintaining component efficiency, enabling multiple uses through a removable filter design. The implications suggest that adopting DFMA in product development can significantly enhance both economic and functional aspects, providing a model for future designs in consumer health products. Further research is recommended to incorporate Quality Function Deployment (QFD) for gathering consumer feedback to refine the design according to user preferences. Highlights: The study uses DFMA to enhance the efficiency and safety of coffee enema baskets. The new design reduces assembly time by 36% and costs by 13%. Incorporation of safety features and a removable filter for multiple uses addresses existing usability issues. Keywords: Coffee Enema, DFMA, Product Design, User Safety, Assembly Efficiency

Abstract

General Background the utilization of local ingredients, such as kupang, is integral to the culinary practices in Balongdowo Village, Sidoarjo Regency. Specific Background shrimp paste, a prominent product derived from kupang, is valued in the market, yet its quality raises concerns among consumers and producers. Knowledge Gap despite its economic significance, limited research has been conducted on the microbiological quality of kupang-based products, particularly during storage. Aims this study aims to evaluate the microbiological analysis of two kupang petis products from different producers in Balongdowo Village during ambient temperature storage. Results employing descriptive analysis across five storage treatments (P0: fresh, P1: 1 week, P2: 2 weeks, P3: 3 weeks, P4: 4 weeks), findings indicated that total plate count (TPC) in P0 treatment met national quality standards (SNI 2718.1: 2013), while yeast mold levels exceeded permissible limits. Notably, the TPC of sample B (1.6 x 10³) was lower than that of sample A (2.2 x 10³) in the fresh condition (P0). Novelty this research provides a comprehensive analysis of the microbiological quality of kupang petis, filling a significant gap in the literature. Implications the results underscore the necessity for rigorous quality control measures in the production and storage of shrimp paste to ensure consumer safety and compliance with health standards. Highlights: Microbiological quality assessment of kupang petis during storage. TPC values in fresh condition meet national standards. Yeast mold levels exceed permissible limits in stored samples. Abstract

General Background: The COVID-19 pandemic has necessitated government interventions in Indonesia to support vulnerable populations. Specific Background: One such intervention is the Direct Cash Assistance Program from Village Funds (BLT-DD), aimed at alleviating economic burdens. Knowledge Gap: Despite its implementation, challenges in recipient targeting and data accuracy remain. Aims: This study analyzes the BLT-DD program's implementation in Sidodadi Village, focusing on success factors and barriers. Results: Qualitative methods reveal that while communication among stakeholders is strong, issues like multiple assistance to some beneficiaries lead to inequalities. Novelty: The study utilizes Van Meter and Van Horn’s implementation theory to provide insights into the program's challenges. Implications: Findings highlight the need for improved data management and stakeholder engagement to enhance equitable distribution of assistance and foster economic recovery in rural areas. Highlights: Targeting Issues: Some beneficiaries received multiple forms of assistance, leading to inequities. Communication Strength: Effective coordination among stakeholders facilitated the program's implementation. Data Management Needs: Improved data validity is crucial for enhancing program effectiveness and fairness. Keywords: BLT-DD, COVID-19, Village Funds, Economic Assistance, Implementation
