Abstract

Degradation of crude oil using ultra filtration membrane and the bioligical process is aim to get result of more effective processing. This membrane ability able to shift the ascription waste as cost becoming waste as profit. This matter gives the positive implication not only industrial party because process almost always profit, inclusive of for environment continuity which is uncared frequently. Process biologist used system aeration with the aerobic bacteria coming from seeding of waste of itself oil, environmental friendly so that. To process the ultra filtration membrane, using pressure difference, temperature and rate of flow which vary and stay in a series of reactor, so that easy to operational. Process of biologic to degraded BOD, color, paraffin, oil and grease, happened by the parameter degradation more than 50%, with the improvement DO more than 50%, while COD, phenol, ammonia, and its pH less than 50%. Process of Ultra filtration (UF) Membrane to degraded more than 50%, are: BOD, COD, Phenol, Ammonia, Paraffin, Color, Oil and Grease. The pH which at the most 50%. The result of this research, can be evaluated from excess and insufficiency from each process which can be seen from some factor, like operational factor, fund factor, and experienced factor. In this study, it was found that membrane ultra filtration was more effective in reducing the organic content in the spill of crude oil in marine waters than biological processes.

Abstract

Salt is an important material for industrial point of view. It is not only used in food industry, but also applied in wide range of industries. For instance, chemical, oil drilling, and animal feed industries, even less than half of salt needs used to household consumption. It is crucial to ensure salt production in Indonesia reaches the national target (3.7 million tons in 2017) due to relatively low technology and production level. Traditionally, salt is produced by adding raw material of brackish water from river with the value of 0-3 oBe. Then, the raw material is precipitated and evaporated for 40-45 days to produce salt with the value of 26 oBe. The productivity of the traditionally salt production is 30-50 tons/ha with the low quality of salt around 80% of NaCl. Recently, salt production technology is developed to facilitate farmers consisted of geomembrane and filtering-threaded technology. By those technologies, the productivity and quality of salt could be increased around 80 tons/ha and NaCl (90%), respectively. However, both technologies in producing salt was proved less effective due to unpredictable weather conditions. Therefore, greenhouse technology is proposed to be used for salt production for several good reasons. This paper describes the preliminary analysis of a low-cost greenhouse designed as a house model that uses bamboo, mono-layer and low density polyethylene plastics. The results confirmed that the yield of salt produced by greenhouse significantly incresed compared with prior technologies and the NaCl content increased as well. The cost of greenhouse was IDR 2,100,000 and easy to assembly. This proposed technology would be a promising and prospecting approach to support sustaibable salt production in Indonesia.

Abstract

Salt is an important material for industrial point of view. It is not only used in food industry, but also applied in wide range of industries. Indonesia government had the priority program in the field of food sovereignty targeting salt production around 3.6 million ton in 2017, main problem of salt production in Indonesia is low productivity and quality because the technology used commonly by Indonesian salt farmers is traditional method. The productivity of the traditionally salt production is 30-50 tons/ha with the low quality of salt around 80% of NaCl. This research aims to increase production of salt by using the tunnel method. The tunnel method is a salt production system with a combination of several salt production technologies, including geomembrane, uv plastic with trapping hit. This research method used descriptive method. The results of this study were the productivity of the tunnel is 80 –100 tons/ha with NaCl content is around 93%, and the magnesium (Mg) content is around 2.46 mg/liter with high quality. In addition, salt production with the tunnel method has several advantages, such as faster harvest time, weather resistance, easy to use, and higher profit than traditional methods.

Abstract

Sea surface temperature and total suspended solid known as a parameter that is widely used by researchers to detect the quality of water whether it is waters that exist in a river, lakes or on the coast. The changes from the climate will affect the sea surface temperature of water, and whether in total suspended solid the changes can significantly affect the value of sea surface temperatures on the coast. The method developed for analyzing is done by compiling a mathematical model algorithm from the satellite image reflectance data to obtain a model of the SST value and TSS concentration for the same time periods and then analyzing the SST correlation to TSS, and the results shown that TSS which obtained from the most suitable algorithm is linear with the formula TSS = 5799,4x + 13,449 with the correlation value is 0,9275 and for the mapping of sea surface temperature, the most suitable algorithm is linear at a wavelength of 443 nm with the formula SST = -445, 06x + 33,654 and the value of the correlation is 0.6103, and this research could be concluded that the correlation between total suspended solids and sea surface temperature aren’t significant because of the result only have the correlation value 0,329 with the standard error 1,602.

Abstract

Salinity is one of the parameters that used for detecting the changes in ecosystems in shallow sea water. The high and low salinity will affect the lives of vegetation and animals. Identifying the salinity content of Sampang District is highly needed considering that Sampang District is well-known producer and exporter of salt. This study was emphasized in mapping the salinity value by using remote sensing algorithms. The mathematic models that used in this research are linear, exponential, logarithm, and power models. The result of this research shows that mapping by using level-2 aqua satellite image is well applied. The result shows that using wavelength 443 mm and 531 mm of Aqua Modis data presents the highest correlation values. The optimum regression for these two wavelength are Sal(ppt)=8,15*ln(Rrs_443)+66,128 with the value R2 as 0,8736 and Sal(ppt)= 8,15 *ln(Rrs_443) + 64,611 with the correlation value R2 as 0,8322. From these result, it can be concluded that there are no significant differences satellite image data for salinity to the data acquisition time.

Abstract

The existence of customary law systems in various regions in Indonesia continues to be explored. the reason is that in some contexts the legal and social issues, customary law is a more effective trigger than national law. The community life in Bali which is known in the container of pakraman village has long existed because of its attachment to customary law. The attachment is based on values and habits that have grown among all citizens to respect each other, including in terms of environmental conservation, which is regulated in the form of custom regulations called awig-awig. This study aims to analyze: (i) the background of the existence of awig-awig customary regulations in the pakraman village, Bali Province, (ii) the establishment of awig-awig as an effort to preserve the environment, (iii) proof of the defense of the state in the implementation of awig-awig. This study uses an empirical juridical approach and then analyzed descriptively qualitative. The results show that pakraman village is a customary law community in the province of Bali which has village autonomy one of which sets its own rules in the form of awig-awig. This authority is formally juridically regulated in the regional regulations of the Province of Bali and recognized in the constitution. Awig-awig is a rule made by pakraman village manners that are used as a guide in the implementation of Tri Hita Kirana. In this case, the noble values that apply in the life of the Pakraman village community through awig-awig to protect and manage the environment in a sustainable manner. Awig-awig is not only based on the teachings of Hindu Tri Hita Kirana but also based on Pancasila to achieve the goals of the country. This is a reflection of the spirit of defending the country in the implementation of awig-awig.

Abstract

Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jawa Timur (UPN Jawa Timur) as a pioneering development undergraduate campus, where the interaction of the teaching and learning process of the academic community has declared itself as a non-smoking campus area based on the spirit of Government Regulation number 109 of 2012 concerning the safeguarding of substances containing substances addictive in the form of tobacco products for health and Surabaya City Regulation Number 5 of 2008 concerning no-smoking areas and limited smoking. However, since the rector's decision regarding the inauguration of UPN Jawa Timur as a non-smoking campus area from 2011 to 2018 results were not encouraging. He still got a part of the academics who smoke in random places, lack of internal arrangements related to non-smoking areas, the absence of maps without smoking areas and limited smoking, low socialization for the academic community, lack of advocacy for customers without cigarettes. As well as still not maximizing the function of internal supervision which is the estuary of the problems that plague the realization of a beautiful, healthy and free from cigarette smoke. Ideally, the campus is the front guard in the success of healthy behavior without smoking for young people in Indonesia. Advocacy is needed to strengthen the rules for the implementation of non-smoking areas in UPN Jawa Timur, a strategic effort to limit smokers active in certain areas, improve humanist supervision procedures and not forget to look at the basis of coaching through a personality approach for violators from the academic community.
