Jurnal Ilmiah Sarasvati (SV) awalnya dibuat pada tahun 2019 dengan penerbit Fakultas Bahasa dan Sains Universitas Wijaya Kusuma Surabaya. Pada tahun yang sama terdaftar ISSN oleh LIPI dengan nomer ISSN 2685-6808 yang terbit secara cetak dan sudah direview oleh mitra bestari. Pada tahun yang sama dibangun pembuatan Sarasvati secara online atau Open Journal System (OJS). Seluruh pengelolaan baik penerimaan artikel sampai review artikel dilakukan secara online. Terbitnya jurnal setiap tahun dua kali dengan jumlah 9 artikel tiap kali terbitan. Sarasvati diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (LPPM). Jurnal Ilmiah Sarsavati (SV) merupakan terbitan ilmiah berkala yang memuat artikel berbahasa Indonesia hasil penelitian dan kajian bidang bahasa dan sastra, baik bahasa/sastra Indonesia, bahasa/sastra daerah, bahasa/sastra asing, maupun pengajaran bahasa/sastra Indonesia. Sarasvati terbit setahun dua kali. Naskah yang akan diterbitkan dalam Sarasvati hanya naskah yang belum pernah dipubikasikan atau dimuat dalam jurnal lain. Penulis yang akan menerbitkan artikelnya harap mengikuti pedoman penulisan yang berlaku pada Sarasvati. Seluruh pengelolaan baik penerimaan artikel sampai review artikel dilakukan secara online. Bahasa Utama : Penerimaan artikel dalam bahasa Indonesia sedangkan bahasa tambahan : Abstrak diharuskan ditulis dengan 2 bahasa, yaitu bahasa Indonesia dan Inggris

Abstract

This study aims to find varied and effective learning steps to improve poetry writing skills in class VIII B students of SMP Negeri 1 Situbondo by using mind mapping techniques. This research is a classroom action research (PTK). The research subjects were 32 students of class VIII B SMP Negeri 1 Situbondo. The data collection techniques were observation, questionnaires, tests, and documentation. This research was conducted in 2 cycles of action. Based on the results of the pre-action questionnaire, some of the class VIII B students of SMP Negeri 1 Situbondo did not like learning to write poetry. The results of the first cycle research showed that the average result of writing students' poetry using mind mapping techniques was 77.85. Of the 28 students who joined, 18 students scored above the KKM with a percentage of 64.3%. There were 10 students who scored below the KKM with a percentage of 35.7%. At the end of cycle 2, the students' average score was 83.71. Of the 27 students who attended, 24 students scored above the KKM with a percentage of 88.89%. There were 3 students who scored below the KKM with a percentage of 11.11%. From the data processing as a whole, the skills of students in writing poetry have increased. So, it can be concluded that the mind mapping technique is proven to be able to improve the poetry writing skills of VIII B grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Situbondo.

Abstract

Character education is a discourse that must be introduced from an early age. Its existence is important in shaping civilized and dignified human beings, as stated in article 3 of the UU Sisdiknas. Character education is translated into nine pillars of character values, namely (1) love of God and all of His creation, (2) independence and responsibility, (3) honesty / trustworthiness, wisdom, (4) respect and courtesy, (5) generous, like helping and mutual cooperation, (6) confident, creative and hardworking, (7) leadership and justice, (8) kind and humble, (9) tolerance, peace and unity. Various methods are used to make it easier to get character education, one way is through children's songs. Children's song is a song specially created for children. The simplicity of time, lyrics, and melody is the hallmark of children's songs. Pak Kasur's songs contain moral teachings that can help build children's character. Pelangi-pelangi, Bangun Tidur, Peramah dan Sopan, serta Bumiku Indonesia dan Anak Indonesia are some songs that clearly contain character values. In the end, the existence of children's songs is important to always be developed and updated. Regarding character education, it is necessary to revitalize children's songs that have been modified and created new ones according to the times.

Abstract

This research is based on the problem of how to improve anecdote writing skills by using caricature image media in class X SMA Negeri 1 Batu Sopang? The purpose of this study is to improve anecdote writing skills by using caricature image media in class X SMA Negeri 1 Batu Sopang. This study uses action research in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: design, activities and observations, reflection, and revision. The target of this research is class X students. The data obtained were in the form of questionnaire results, teaching and learning activity observation sheets and anecdotal text writing test questions. From the results of the analysis, it was found that student learning achievement had increased from cycle I to cycle II, namely, cycle I (72%,) and cycle II (83.1). The conclusion of this study is that caricature media can improve anecdotal writing skills in Class X SMA N 1 Batu Sopang, and the use of caricature media can be used as an alternative to learning Indonesian

Abstract

This study aims to describe the domestication of women in Ustaz Firnanda Andirja's lecture. This study uses Norman Fairclough's discourse theory to analyze text descriptively, interpretatively, and explain. This research focuses on lectures on the topic as bad as your wives, women in heaven like to stay at home, and use what your husband likes, even if you don't like it yourself. The results of this study found that Ustaz Firnanda Andrija's lecture had an influence that could change the viewpoint of life of the audience and worshipers who attended the lecture. Women should stay at home and not go against their husbands orders as absolute power holders. Ustaz Firnanda also helped strengthen the dominance of men over women (especially in the family).

Abstract

Writing is not an ability that can be mastered by itself, but must go through a process of learning and habituation. Writing procedure text is a container that can be used as a habit. Especially in the 2013 curriculum, procedure text is mandatory material that must be studied in grade VII SMP students. Based on observations during online learning in the midst of the Covid 19 pandemic at SMP Mutiara 4 Bandung, students find it difficult to learn. expressing ideas and ideas in written form, because the learning models and media used by the teacher are not attractive so that learning feels boring and unpleasant. Based on the descriptions presented above, the authors are interested in conducting Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a model. Acitive Learning through gamabar media. This classroom action research was carried out in two cycles, each of which contained four components, namely planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The results showed that the application of the active learning model through image media could improve the ability to write procedural texts. The application of the Active Learning learning model through image media is more effective, it is proven that students are more active and more creative in developing writing and are able to improve the quality of students' writing as evidenced by an increase in the results of the average score in cycle I (62,) and the acquisition of average scores cycle II (78,6), so there is a difference in the average value (16,). Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the active learning model through image media is effective in learning to write procedural texts.
