Abstract

The issue of diversity is a sensitive issue. if not handled wisely, it will become a problem that degrades national harmony. The mass media which have ideal functions as a medium of information, pay less attention to the issue of diversity. Though the role of mass media, especially convergent media is very influential on this matter. This research was conducted with the aim to get an overview of the views of journalists from the convergent media Liputan 6.com in seeing the issue of diversity. Journalists who become participants are from the senior level (deputy chief editor), middle (editor), and junior (reporter). The research method uses qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The theoretical basis used in this study is peaceful journalism and agenda setting. Data collection is done by in-depth interviews and observations. The results showed that the editorial policy of Liputan6.com was careful in reporting on the topic of diversity. The policy has been well understood by each level of journalist. In addition there is a personal awareness of each participant to prioritize caution in reporting the topic of diversity.

Abstract

At this time, the media act as the mastermind behind the formation of popular culture. Media shapes the reality of human life. Thus, humans are trapped in false needs. Today's popular culture comes through a new form, namely the Japanese anime fashion. Japanese anime fashion has emerged as a representation of popular culture in the Asian sphere. Apart from that, Japanese anime fashion also plays a role in the culture industry. This writing uses the literature method to obtain data. Furthermore, this paper also uses a theory based on the theory of Popular Culture by Dominic Strinati. Thus, this writing seeks to reveal, unravel, and explain that Japanese anime fashion is present as a popular culture that cannot be realized. Therefore, with the presence of popular culture, people, especially teenagers, seem to be immersed in surface, trivial, pragmatic, and commercial realities.

Abstract

Abstrak- Konflik di Afghanistan dalam proses perdamaiannya melibatkan Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa (PBB), negara-negara sekitar wilayah Afghanistan, negara-negara besar, serta komunitas internasional lain tak terlepas Indonesia. Upaya perdamaian di Afghanistan ialah amanah dari konstitusi di mana Indonesia menganut kebijakan luar negeri bebas-aktif, yang berarti bebas dalam penafsiran tidak memihak pada blok tertentu, sebaliknya aktif berarti ikut serta dalam upaya perdamaian intenasional. Sejak Indonesia memasuki masa reformasi, ditandai dengan turunnya presiden Soeharto, Indonesia jadi negara demokrasi seutuhnya dengan diberlakukannya UU tentang kebebasan berpendapat. Oleh sebab itu timbul aktor- aktor baru dalam kebijakan politik Indonesia, sehingga perihal tersebut pengaruhi kedudukan Indonesia dalam diplomasi terhadap konflik di Afghanistan. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan kajian kepustakaan, dengan menjelaskan proses perdamaian di Afghanistan yang telah berlangsung lama dan telah melibatkan banyak pihak. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menerangkan upaya dan kontribusi  yang dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Indonesia dalam membantu proses perdamaian konflik di Afghanistan.

Abstract

Abstract – The islanders who are geographically separated from the mainland island of Madura have long been absent from the attention of popular culture. They tend to be considered alienated people and left behind from the high culture of the Madurese people. In fact, the popular culture brought and spread by the popular class of Madurese is a clue to their openness to the outside world or the development of the times. Madura's popular class consists of young people, either individuals or collectives, who are passionate about a variety of popular cultural products and practices. This research will be concentrated on the popular class in Kambing Island, Sampang regency, Madura. The research methods used collaborate between cultural studies and case study. The main data sources come from informal conversations, the experience of walking around the location, and participant observations with Kambing island youngsters. Based on field work analysis shows the pleasure of goat island young people towards popular culture refers to fandom or idolization culture, mobile phone use, and fashion style. The popular culture of the young people of Kambing Island is formed because of the political power of friendship and the rhythmic world of their everyday life.

Abstract

Dimana pada saat situasi yang tidak stabil ini penyebab hilangnya harkat martabat dan kedudukan sebagi penyandang disabilitas khususnya di Lembaga Pemasyarakatan. Merupakan kewajiban negara dalam menjamin hak-hak yang harus terprnuhi oleh para penyandang disabilitas sesuai dengan undang-undang yang telah berlaku. Dalam rangka memenuhi pelayanan publik terhadap penyandang disabilitas perlu adanya keseteraan perlakuan dengan masyarakat pada umumnya. Hal ini dilakukan bukan semata-mata bertujuan melindungi Hak Asasi Manusia setiap orang, tetapi juga melaksanakan amanat yang terdapat dalam undang-undang dan sebagai penghormatan martabat manusia. Tentu  dalam memberikan pelayanan publik berupa program pembinaan dan kepribadian bagi narapidana khususnya penyandang disabilitas, tentu Lapas sebagai tempatnya diharapkan dapat memberikan hak bagi narapidana penyandang disabilitas. Karena dalam hal ini Lapas merupakan fasilitas umum, yang artinya sama seperti fasilitas pada umumnya dalam memberikan pelayanan harus memenuhi persamaan hak asasi manusia Keywords—: Penyandang disabilitas, kelompok rentan, narapidana, pelayanan

Abstract

Adolescence can be interpreted as a period of transition of an individual from childhood developing to adulthood. Adolescents are usually associated with periods of change in their life processes. When the individual reaches the age of adolescence, they will begin to think about how their life will be in the future. Adolescents must have great confidence and strong determination so they can quickly get back up from the difficulties in their lives. For every teenager and especially for orphanage youth, of course it is necessary to have the capability to overcome life's difficulties and problems to immediately rise to become a useful and reliable person in carrying out commitments to theirself and the people around them in the future. There are many factors that can influence a person's level of resilience, and one of them is social support. This study aims to see the role of social support in increasing resilience in orphanage youth. This research was conducted using the literature study method. Research with this model is carried out by searching and collecting reference materials from journals and articles based on the variables being studied. After doing this research, it was found that social support had an effect on increasing the resilience of orphanage youth.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang representasi makna cinta lingkungan dalam iklan Rinso edisi “yuk mulai bijak sampah” yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana  cinta lingkungan disimbolkan dalam iklan Rinso edisi “yuk mulai bijak plastik”. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga bermaksud untuk menginterpretasi makna cinta lingkungan dalam iklan Rinso edisi “yuk mulai bijak plastik”. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis teks. Objek yang diteliti adalah iklan Rinso edisi”yuk mulai bijak plastik”. Untuk menjawab penelitian digunakan analisis semiologi Roland Barthes. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa simbolisasi cinta lingkungan dalam iklan Rinso edisi “yuk mulai bijak plastik” meliputi audio (voice over), dan visual (objek dalam scene, cara pengambilan gambar). Makna cinta lingkungan yang terkandung dalam iklan antara lain yaitu makna dampak kurangnya mencintai lingkungan, lingkungan sebagai tempat seluruh makhluk hidup, pentingnya menjaga lingkungan, bijak dalam menggunakan plastik, mengajarkan sadar lingkungan sejak dini, sikap gotong royong, pentingnya membuang sampah pada tempatnya, dan sadar lingkungan untuk kelanjutan generasi selanjutnya. Adapun mitos dari keseluruhan iklan ini menjelaskan bahwa makna cinta lingkungan adalah sadar, menjaga, dan melestarikan lingkungan tersebut. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah agar masyarakat terkhususnya penonton televisi lebih selektif dan kritis dalam memaknai pesan iklan yang ada.
