U-Teach: Journal of Young Physics Education Teacher adalah jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan dengan tujuan untuk memfasilitasi para akademisi dan peneliti untuk mempublikasikan hasil penelitiannya di bidang Inovasi Pendidikan Fisika, Media Pembelajaran Fisika, dan Penelitian Ilmiah di bidang fisika. U-Teach: Jurnal Pendidikan Guru Fisika Muda adalah jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika STKIP Nurul Huda. U-Teach akan mulai tampil pada Juni 2020 yaitu Vol. 1 No. 1 tahun 2020, dengan dan secara teratur diterbitkan dua kali setahun pada bulan Juni dan Desember. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application of the practicum method with PowerPoint animation media on the learning motivation of class XI science students at SMA Negeri 1 Belitang in the 2020/2021 academic year. The research design used a posttest-only control design. The population in this study were all students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Belitang totaling 216 students, and the research sample was 36 students of class XI IPA 2 as the experimental class and 36 students of class XI IPA 1 as the control class. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire and then analyzed using the t-test. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the level of learning motivation of experimental class students reaches 67% in the medium category and the level of learning motivation of control class students reaches 64% in the medium category. After the t-test was carried out, the results of tcount were 3.81 while ttable was 1.99. Because tcount was not between -ttable and +ttable i.e. -1.99, and +1.99 then, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Hence, there is a significant influence on the application of the practicum method with PowerPoint animation media on the learning motivation of the students of class XI science at SMA Negeri 1 Belitang in the 2020/2021 academic year

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the understanding of physics teachers at MTs Darul Ulum Karang Sari about K13 (2013 Curriculum), teacher readiness in learning, implementation of learning, and direction of learning development. The research on the understanding of physics teachers was carried out using a qualitative descriptive research method. The research subjects were four physics teachers at MTs Darul Ulum Karang Sari. Data was collected using interview and questionnaire techniques. The data were analyzed and classified by presenting the data, reducing the data, and making conclusions from the data. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the physics teacher at MTs Darul Ulum has not fully understood the concept of the 2013 curriculum. Some teachers are more focused on character education contained in K-13. This understanding that focuses on character education has an impact on unclear learning objectives. The readiness of the physics teacher at MTs Darul Ulum to start learning is in accordance with the syllabus and lesson plans, although it is not optimal. For example, the teacher has prepared materials, methods, and media that will be used in learning. However, in the implementation, not all teachers do according to the 2013 curriculum. In the implementation in the classroom learning with the 2013 curriculum does not really show the difference with learning with KTSP. The assessment system has been done well by most teachers

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the Discovery Based Unity of Science (DBUS) learning model with the SETS approach on students’ critical thinking skills during the covid-19 pandemic. The essay test instrument used in this study amounted to 9 questions. The research was conducted at MTs Hasanuddin Bandar Lampung. This study uses a quasi-experimental method. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling, with class VIII A as the experimental class and class VIII B as the control class. The research data were tested using normality, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing. The results of the N-Gain test in the experimental class showed results of 0.53 in the medium category, while in the control class the results showed 0.16 in the low category. Based on the research data, it was found that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous, so a t-test was carried out with a significant level of 0.05. The results show that tcount>ttable, which is 2.04>2.03, which means H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. This shows that there is a significant influence on the application of the Discovery Based Unity of Science (DBUS) learning model with the SETS approach to students’ critical thinking skills during learning in the covid-19 pandemic era

Abstract

The low scientific literacy of Indonesian students attracts the attention of Indonesian education practitioners to continue researching the right solution to overcome it. With the help of multi-representation interactive multimedia, this research facilitated students to learn actively and independently. The aim of this research was to develop multi representation-based interactive multimedia (MRIM) to improve students' scientific literacy skills. The research method is research and development with 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate), and data analysis using Paired t-test. The define stage for problem identification and analyzing needs, we involved a sample of 30 students from 8th grade and 2 science teachers. At the design stage, a multimedia framework and scientific literacy instruments were created. In the develop stage, multimedia was tested on 1 lecturer as a reviewer, and 3 teachers, and then the media was tested on a small group, consisted of 7 students of 7th grade of SMPQT Al-Hamidiyah with random selection. And at the disseminate stage, all data that has been processed is then written in the form of articles which will then be published. The results of the expert judgment test stated that the multimedia is feasible to use, while the small group test results showed that this multimedia can improve students' scientific literacy skills with a significance value of 0.000 <0.05 (based on the results of the paired t-test). In conclusion, this interactive multimedia is very suitable for use in learning and can improve students' scientific literacy skills

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the application of the problem-based learning (PBL) model on the conceptual understanding and communication skills of junior high school students. With a quasi-experimental method, this study used a multiple-choice test in the form of a four-tier and a communication questionnaire as a data collection technique. Data analysis using the mixed method. The research sample consisted of the experimental class and the control class. Based on the results of the statistical calculation of the t-test, it was found that tcount > ttable (12.61 > 1.67), then Ha was accepted. This shows that there is a significant effect of the problem-based learning (PBL) learning model on the ability to understand concepts of junior high school students. Meanwhile, from the results of the questionnaire calculation, the score of the experimental class was higher than the control class. So it can be concluded that student communication in the experimental class has a significant increase compared to the control class. Accordingly, the findings of this study indicate that PBL can improve the concept understanding and communication of junior high school students. Students who have high conceptual understanding tend to have good communication skills

Abstract

This research is here to develop teaching media for the application of Pascal's law and to determine the feasibility of hydraulic press teaching aids. The development model was adapted from Sugiyono's research and development model. The subjects of this study were 8thgrade students of SMP Negeri 6 Mesuji Makmur. The result of the development was a simple hydraulic press from the application of Pascal's law concepts. The development step was determining the potential and problems, data collection, product design, product validation, design revision, and product testing. Based on the results of the assessment, this hydraulic press teaching aid with Pascal's law concept got: 83% scores from material experts, 88.3% scores from media experts and 86.5% from student response questionnaires. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the development of learning media for hydraulic press teaching aids with the concept of Pascal's law for 8th-grade junior high school students is very feasible to use.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of the application of the PBL model assisted by a modified chess game on students' learning motivation. The research design used is Quasi Experiment Design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects were 8th grade students of SMPN 3 Mesuji Makmur which consisted of 50 students who were divided into experimental class and control class. The results showed that the level of student motivation in the control class was 62.64% in the medium category, while the experimental class scored 82.37% in the high category. Based on hypothesis testing using SPSS 22.0 software through paired samples t-test with a significance level of 5%, the result is 0.00 so that it can be concluded that there is a significant effect on the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with the help of a modified chess game on the learning motivation of 8th grade students in SMP N 3 Mesuji Makmur

Abstract

This study aims to: 1) describe the characteristics of the physics module on the topic of simple harmonic motion based on character-integrated experiential learning; 2) test the feasibility of the module; 3) test the effectiveness of the module. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D). The research procedure was in accordance with the research steps described by Borg & Gall. The results of the feasibility test from the expert showed a score of 95% with a very good category from expert lecturer 1, expert lecturer 2 gave a score of 93% in the very good category, and the physics teacher gave a score of 96% in the very good category. Initial trials were carried out to test the initial effectiveness of 3 students with 89.92% results in the very good category. The results of the wide-scale test showed that this module is effective to be used as teaching material with a result of 91.08%. This research produced a product in the form of a physics module based on integrated experimental learning characteristics on simple harmonic motion material for class X MA students

Abstract

This study is a research and development research and development (R&D) which aims to determine the development of learning media for uno physics card using the team games tournament learning model for Newton's law and style material, knowing the level of validity of the Uno Physics Card learning media using the Team Games Tournament learning model on style material. and Newton's laws, and knowing the level of practicality of the media This development research adopted the 4-D model, which only focuses on the define, design and develop stages and Location used in this study, namely at MTs Al-Hikmah Purwodadi with a sample of 20 students from class VIII. The results of this study indicate that the validity value obtained by the Uno Physics Card media and its supporters has an average validation index of high validity classification. The practicality test of the UNO Physics Card media by students is 83% "Very Practical" and 80% of teachers are included in the "Practical" category.

Abstract

This Research and Development (R&D) research with Plomp design was aimed to develop a magnetic induction-based collision experiment with audacity. The object of this experiment is acrylic and wood. The results of the development were assessed by media experts, material experts, and 10th-grade high school students. Data collection used a questionnaire on the eligibility of media experts, material experts, and user feasibility trials. The results showed the average validity score of media experts and material experts was 0.77 with a moderate level of validity. While the results of the practicality test by students showed the scores for the practicum tool were 92.9%, 87.25% for the practicum module, and 86% for the user manual, all of which fit into the proper criteria. The percentage of relative error of acrylic and wood for a distance of 10 cm is 0.35% and for a distance of 15 cm is 0.45%. Based on these data, it can be concluded that this magnetic induction-based collision experiment tool with audacity is valid and practical to use as a learning medium.
