JINAV: Journal of Information and Visualization is an international peer-reviewed open-access journal dedicated to interchange for the results of high-quality research in all aspects of information science and technology, data, knowledge, communication, and their visualization. The journal publishes state-of-art papers in fundamental theory, experiments, and simulation, as well as applications, with a systematic proposed method, sufficient review on previous works, expanded discussion, and concise conclusion. <![CDATA[Fuzzy logic systems have found extensive use in system identification, decision making, and pattern recognition problems from industries to academics. The membership functions play a pivotal role in overall role in fuzzy representation, as these are considered as the building blocks of fuzzy set theory and they decide the degree of truth in fuzzy logic. The extraction of the membership function is ambience dependent and thus complication exists in the process of evaluation. In this assessment the main work deals with the derivation of fuzzy membership function where numerical data is available. The numerical cubic spline and defuzzification technique are used here. In this paper we mainly used triangular fuzzy number to construct the membership function. A case study is furnished to emphasize the advantage of adopting the method.]]>

<![CDATA[Communication between subjects is a challenge that is present in the different dimensions of society. In the educational context it is permeated by different technologies. With the pandemic of COVID-19, technological tools have been extended to several ways of learning, which was present in face-to-face teaching through non-face-to-face classes and also in distance education. Thus, new challenges in communicability between students, teachers and knowledge were present in this scenario. This research intends to share the experiences lived in the educational universe in the distance modality and also in the classes in non-presential regime.]]>

<![CDATA[The aim of this review was to identify the role of calcium and oxidative stress as factors associated with osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. There are many diseases related to post-menstruation in women, the most important of which is osteoporosis. Calcium levels remains stable until menopause, when the bone resorption rate increases in association with the decrease in ovarian estrogen production that effect the intestinal calcium absorption. On the other hand, studies support that oxidative stress is directly involved in the genesis and development of osteoporosis. However, Oxidative stress blocks the activation of osteoblasts and activates the differentiation of osteoclasts which led to increased resorption rate without adequate and proper bone formation. In conclusion, Physiological changes in postmenopausal women lead to fluctuations in calcium metabolism and oxidative stress, which may lead to the occurrence or development of osteoporosis.]]>

<![CDATA[Maternal mortality remains unacceptably high despite both local and international programs carried at reducing the incidence. Nigeria suffers from 800 maternal death per 100,000 births. This study examines the extent to which cultural practices and quality of medical care determines maternal mortality in Calabar, Cross River State. Using the survey research design, data were collected from 400 women aged between 15 and 49 from Calabar using a self-developed structured questionnaire. The participants were selected using cluster and purposive sampling technique. Data collected from the field was analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression analyses at 0.05 confidence level. Result from the analysis revealed that uncivilized cultural practices lead to high maternal mortality. 75.64 per cent of the participant reported cases of complications during birth in the hands of traditional birth attendants. cultural practices account for 49 per cent of the variation in maternal mortality. Also, result revealed that poor care delivery or quality of medical care leads to high maternal mortality. 54.14 per cent of the participants reported that the cost of medical care for a pregnant woman in the hospital is too expensive. 69.43 per cent reported there have been deaths as a result of lack of care in hospitals. Based on these findings There is need for the government and its health ministry to increase the number of primary health centres in the nation as well as strengthen this health centres to collect high-quality data to respond to the needs and priority of women and girls amongst others.]]>
