Abstract

Storage is an activity of storing and maintaining by placing drugs received in a place that is considered safe from theft and disturbances that can damage the quality of the drug. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the drug storage at the UPT Regency Pharmacy Installation Unit was in accordance with the Pharmaceutical Management Training Materials in District / City Pharmacy Installation, Directorate of Public Medication and Health Supplies, Directorate General of Pharmacy and Medical Devices Ministry of Health Republic of Indonesia in collaboration with Japan International Coorperation Agency (JICA) in 2010. This type of non-experimental research that is described in a deskritptive evaluative manner with prospective data collection. The population in the study of all drug storage rooms with a sample of the study was as many as 6 (six) drug chambers BUFFER and PKD. Data collection uses interview and direct observation methods. The research instrument using interview texts and observation forms. The results show that the preparation of storage facilities is 100% appropriate, the 90% spatial arrangement is appropriate, the preparation of the drug stock is 75% according to the observation of the drug quality 100% according to the standard.

Abstract

Face whitening cream is a facial lightening product that contains a mixture of chemicals and/or other ingredients with properties that can blot the black spots on the skin. Active ingredients that are often misused or added to excess in face whitening creams are mercury and hydroquinone. Whitening creams that contain mercury and hydroquinone are usually used in night creams related to the regeneration of skin cells that occur at night. The BPOM regulation states that the use of mercury is prohibited in cosmetics and the use of hydroquinone is still allowed for medical prescription purposes with a maximum limit of 4%. In this study testing of mercury and hydroquinone for night creams used in the beauty clinic of the city of Banjarmasin. Testing the presence of mercury using color reactions, and testing hydroquinone levels using spectrophotometry. The results showed that from 13 samples of night cream there were 3 positive samples containing mercury and hydroquinone simultaneously, 2 samples containing only mercury, 6 samples containing only hydroquinone, and 2 samples which did not contain mercury or hydroquinone. Of the 9 samples containing hydroquinone there were 5 samples that exceeded the maximum permissible level with the highest level was 11.41% (w/w).

Abstract

One of the plants in Indonesia that can be used as traditional medicine is bilimbi leaves extract (Averrhoa bilimbi L.). Bilimbi leaves are known to contain flavonoids, saponins, and tannins. Flavonoids are one of the compounds that can counteract free radicals that cause degenerative diseases. The purpose of this study was to determine the levels of flavonoids in the ethanol extract of bilimbi leaves. Flavonoid compounds in bilimbi leaves were taken by extracting bilimbi leaves. Bilimbi leaves were extracted using maceration and re-maceration method with ethanol 96%. The determination of flavonoid content begins with a qualitative test, then the flavonoid content is measured using a UV-Visible spectrophotometer method with quercetin standard. The qualitative test results showed that ethanol extract of bilimbi leaves positively contained flavonoids. The quantitative analysis using UV spectrophotometry showed that the flavonoid values in the ethanol extract of bilimbi leaves (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) read at a maximum wave of 412 nm was 42.865 mg / L.

Abstract

Rational use of medicines is one step to get good health services. Rational use of medicines can be identified, one of which begins with rational medicine prescribing. The Indicator that can be used to measure medicine use rationally are by using WHO medicine prescribing indicators (1993) and Medical Service Standards to control medicine use. Low Back Pain is one of the most common diseases in outpatients in Panembahan Senopati General Hospital Bantul. This study used an observational method with a descriptive analytic case study design, using quantitative and qualitative data. The results obtained in Low Back Pain based on WHO prescription indicators (1993) obtained the following results: the average drug items used per prescription sheet were 2.66 items, the percentage of prescription drugs written with generic names was 74.3%, percentage prescription of antibiotics 1.7%, percentage of injection prescription 72.7%, percentage of drug prescription according to hospital formulary 88.2%, percentage of drugs according to DOEN 18.5%, percentage of prescription according to medical service standards 71%, percentage of psychotropic prescribing 12,7%, and the percentage of systemic steroid prescription was 6.3%.

Abstract

Submission of pharmaceutical drug precursors for hard drugs to patients must be prescribed by a doctor. The use of inappropriate precursors can be misused for the manufacture of illegal narcotics and psychotropics, including Pseudoephedrine. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of the sales of pseudoephedrine precursor drugs, hard drug groups that used prescriptions and did not use prescriptions before and after the inspection of the BPOM. This research was conducted at Kimia Farma Pharmacy No. 61 Veteran Banjarmasin with descriptive method. The population taken in the study was the sale of precursor drugs containing pseudoephedrine hard drug, three months before and three months after the BPOM inspection. The samples in this study were data on drug sales in the KIS system, the drugs were Aldisa sr sr, Lapifed, SR Rhinos, Rhinofed, Trifed and Tremenza. Data analysis was the Mann Whitney U-test. The results showed that there was no difference in sales of hard drug precursor of the pseudoephedrine type using prescription before and after BPOM inspection based on the Mann Whitney U-test with a significance value of0.579(p>0.05), and there were differences in the drug sales that did not use prescription with a significance value of0,000(p <0.05).

Abstract

The immune system can be damaged by the presence of free radicals. The formation of free radicals must be prevented by antioxidants. Humanes basically do not have antioxidant reserves in their her body, so that when there is exposure to excessive the radicals then the needs body antioxidant intake from the outside. At present it is encouraged the development of antioxidants derived from plants, which are relatively easier to obtain and safe for humans consumption. Potential to antioxidant plants one of them is dayak onion leaves. Dayak onion leaves are a typical plant Borneo Central used by the Dayak tribe as medicine. To get a high active ingredient in dayak onion leaves, it is necessary to optimize the type of maceration solvent. The types of solvents used are water and ethanol. Testing of antioxidant using activities DPPH (2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl) as a free radical compound. The maximum wavelength of DPPH in this study is at 519 nm. The highest IC50 value was found on dayak onion leaf extract with water solvent which was 58.62 ppm, with ethanol-water solvent of 33.71 ppm, and the smallest with ethanol solvent of 26.98 ppm. Key: antioxydan, Eleutherine palmifolia of leave, DPPH
