Abstract

This systematic review explores the intersection of Max Planck's assertion that "matter is a derivative of consciousness" with key concepts in Christian theology, particularly creation, existence, and the imago Dei. The study aims to investigate how Planck's views align with and enrich theological doctrines, fostering dialogue between science and faith. The objective is to analyze interdisciplinary literature to uncover complementary understandings of the cosmos' origin and nature, drawing from scientific insights and Christian theological frameworks. A qualitative methodology is employed, comprising a systematic analysis of scholarly articles, theological texts, and scientific literature that address consciousness, metaphysics, and divine creation. The findings reveal significant alignment between Planck's concept of consciousness as foundational to matter and Christian beliefs about God’s creative agency and humans as bearers of the imago Dei. This synthesis enhances comprehension of the cosmos as a creation sustained by an underlying consciousness, aligning with the theological principle of divine intentionality. In conclusion, this review highlights the potential for meaningful dialogue between scientific and theological perspectives, offering a unified understanding of existence that bridges the material and metaphysical realms.

Abstract

The growing need for affordable yet quality household goods offers a great opportunity for retail businesses to cater to the needs of consumers and the small to medium enterprise (SMB) sector. This research aims to explore the market positioning and operational strategies in starting a home furnishing retail business in Indonesia, with a focus on the lower-middle class and SMB segments. The research method involved analyzing the operational strategies of retail companies in Indonesia to identify key success factors and potential growth opportunities. Research data was obtained through online data sources, industry reports, market research, policy documents, as well as primary data from the researcher's professional experience and related academic research. The research results propose a strategy based on the concept of “people, goods, and space” to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and brand loyalty. The business model starts with a pilot store in Semarang before expanding to other major cities through direct operation and franchising models. The B2B segment leverages the supply chain to provide customized solutions for SMBs. Key operational elements include strategic location, comprehensive SOPs, local marketing, and partnerships with trusted providers. The research also recommends long-term growth strategies, including adaptation to dynamic market trends, integration of customer feedback, and implementation of sustainable supply chain practices. The results of this study are expected to serve as a strategic guide for creating a competitive and responsive home furnishing retail business in the rapidly growing Indonesian market.

Abstract

International trade disputes often involve parties from different countries with different legal systems, resulting in legal conflicts in their resolution. This article aims to analyze the comparison between two commonly used dispute resolution mechanisms, namely arbitration and court. Through a normative juridical approach and comparative analysis, this study examines the advantages and disadvantages of both methods in the context of international law. Arbitration is often chosen because it is more flexible, confidential, and allows the parties to choose a competent arbitrator. In contrast, dispute resolution through the courts tends to be more formal, with clearer enforcement power but often takes longer and is less flexible. The results of this study show that arbitration is superior in terms of time efficiency and privacy, while courts are stronger in terms of law enforcement in various jurisdictions. The study concludes that the choice between arbitration and the court depends largely on the nature of the dispute at hand, the preferences of the parties, as well as the prevailing jurisdiction.

Abstract

This paper examines the impact of Afghanistan’s neighbors on the country’s domestic and foreign policies. Afghanistan shares borders with Pakistan, Iran, China, India, and the Central Asian republics, and its unique geographical location has made it a focal point in regional and global geopolitics. Using a mixed-methods research approach that incorporates both quantitative and qualitative data, this study analyzes the economic, cultural, security, and political effects of Afghanistan’s neighboring countries on its policies. The findings reveal that economic and trade cooperation with China and Pakistan has contributed to Afghanistan’s infrastructure and economic development. Additionally, cultural and historical ties with Iran and India have played a significant role in strengthening Afghanistan’s political and social relationships. Furthermore, security and intelligence collaborations with Central Asian countries and China have helped mitigate security threats and promote regional stability. This research also proposes strategies to improve Afghanistan's relations and strengthen its domestic and foreign policies with its neighbors.
