UPI YPTK Journal of Business and Economics is dedicated to address the challenges in the areas of Business and Economics, thereby presenting a consolidated view to the interested researchers in the aforesaid fields. The journal looks for significant contributions to the area of management including accounting, auditing, management, marketing, business, finance, and other related topics in theoretical and practical aspects. All manuscripts received by the editor of UPI YPTK Journal of Business and Economics (JBE) will be reviewed by peer reviewers according to the field of economics studies (at least 2 people) with a double-blind policy. This journal is published every 4 months, Januari, May, and September. All papers submitted to the journal should be written in good English.

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to explore the relationship between management information systems, technological innovation, and accounting education in the context of financial statement preparation practices. The literature search process was conducted using seven keyword combinations: (1) Management Information Systems AND Organisational Productivity, (2) Technological Innovation AND Organisational Performance, (3) Impact of IT Systems on Business Efficiency, (4) Role of Information Technology in Organizational Growth, (5) Digital Transformation AND Business Performance, (6) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) AND Productivity (7) Business Intelligence AND Organisational Efficiency. From this search, 1 article was found in Web of Science journals, 2 articles in Elsevier journals, 3 articles in Springer journals, 1 article in Willey-Blackweell journals, 2 articles in Taylor & Francis journals, 2 articles in SAGE Publications journals, 4 articles in Emerald journals, 2 articles in ProQuest journals, 1 article in Ebsco journals and 2 articles in MDPI journals. The literature review results indicate Management Information Systems (MIS) contribute significantly to organisational productivity by enhancing data management, improving decision-making processes, and increasing operational efficiency. Technological innovation drives productivity growth by automating business processes, improving workflow efficiency, and fostering adaptability in rapidly changing markets.

Abstract

The study aims to discover the influence of CRM-based information systems and service quality on MSMEs' customer loyalty in Padang City. The unit of analysis is Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Padang City. The study utilised primary data obtained through the questionnaire. Sampling technique by using quota sampling. 120 questionnaires from MSMEs were returned as a final sample. Data were analysed using multiple regression analysis performed by SPSS software. The result shows that CRM-based information systems significantly influenced customer loyalty in Padang City. Service quality significantly influenced customer loyalty in Padang City. The findings of this study have several important implications; MSMEs should invest in and adopt digital CRM solutions to improve customer interactions, data management, and personalised services, ultimately leading to increased customer retention. MSMEs should improve their service standards continuously. Enhancing responsiveness, reliability, and customer engagement can help build stronger customer relationships and trust.

Abstract

The object of this study is the employees of the Sungai Penuh City Inspectorate. The type of research used in this study is quantitative causality research, the data collection method is by distributing questionnaires. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with the help of the smartPLS program. The sampling technique in this study used saturated samples by analyzing 80 respondents.Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that education has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment. Work experience has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment. Incentives have a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment. Education has a positive and significant effect on audit quality. Work experience does not have a significant effect on audit quality. Incentives do not have a significant effect on audit quality. Organizational commitment has a significant effect on audit quality. Organizational commitment mediates the effect of education on audit quality. Organizational commitment mediates the effect of work experience on audit quality. Organizational commitment mediates the effect of incentives on audit quality.

Abstract

The research entitled The Influence of leadership style and work environment on employee performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable at the population and civil registration service of Kerinci regency aims to investigate the direct and indirect effects of organizational factors on employee performance. Although the title refers to Kerinci Regency, the actual object of study was the employees of the Population and Civil Registration Service in Sungai Penuh City. This study employs a quantitative causality research design using questionnaires as the primary method of data collection. The sampling technique adopted is saturated sampling, with a total of 74 respondents analyzed. Data were processed using multiple linear regression analysis assisted by the SmartPLS software. The findings reveal that leadership style has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, and the work environment also positively and significantly influences job satisfaction. Additionally, both leadership style and work environment exert a positive and significant impact on employee performance. However, job satisfaction itself has a negative and statistically insignificant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between leadership style and employee performance, nor between the work environment and employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of leadership style and organizational culture on employee performance, with job satisfaction as an intervening variable, at the Regional Secretariat of Kerinci Regency. The research employs a quantitative causality design, with data collected through questionnaires distributed to employees. A probability sampling technique was applied, resulting in 95 distributed questionnaires, of which 70 were valid and processed. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of the SmartPLS program.The findings reveal that leadership style has a significant effect on job satisfaction, and organizational culture also has a significant effect on job satisfaction. Additionally, both leadership style and organizational culture have a significant direct effect on employee performance. However, job satisfaction does not have a significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between leadership style and employee performance, nor does it mediate the relationship between organizational culture and employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of internal control and Management Accounting Information Systems (MAIS) characteristics on managerial performance with environmental uncertainty as a moderating variable. In this study, the object used is PT Pelabuhan Indonesia This study aims to determine the influence of internal control and Management Accounting Information Systems (MAIS) characteristics on managerial performance with environmental uncertainty as a moderating variable. In this study, the object used is PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) Regional 2 Teluk Bayur. The sample was selected using a purposive sampling method with certain criteria needed in this study. The sample determination method used in this study was a total sampling of 30 people. The analysis technique in this study used the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique with the Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach. The study's results prove that internal control has an insignificant influence on managerial performance. In contrast, the characteristics of the management accounting information system have a significant effect on managerial performance. Environmental uncertainty does not moderate the relationship between internal control and managerial performance. However, environmental uncertainty moderates the relationship between accounting information system characteristics and managerial performance. (Persero) Regional 2 Teluk Bayur. Abstract

The Industry 5.0 era emphasizes the integration of humans with technology in business activities, including digital marketing. This article was created to present a systematic literature analysis on effective strategies in digital marketing in the Industry 5.0 era. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method with a qualitative approach to evaluate the latest trends, strategies, and impacts in digital marketing. Literature searches were conducted on articles from 2015 to 2024 from various academic databases. The results of this study reveal that content editing, social media utilization, and the use of big data are the main strategies that have an impact. In addition, this study also explains the shortcomings of the research and provides real examples of implementation for companies.
