Abstract

This study aims to develop a differentiated Make a Match learning model to enhance the emotional and social well-being (student well-being) of elementary school students in Bumijawa Subdistrict, Tegal Regency. The research employs a Research and Development (RD) method with a mixed-methods approach, utilizing questionnaires, observations, and documentation as instruments. The model is designed to address issues in conventional learning, which tend to be less interactive, resulting in low student motivation and suboptimal social relationship building. The findings reveal that the differentiated Make a Match model effectively enhances student engagement, learning motivation, and positive relationships between students and teachers. This approach provides an inclusive learning experience by accommodating students' diverse needs and abilities. The study makes a significant contribution to supporting the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum and fostering a holistic, student-centered learning environment.

Abstract

Digital literacy in the era of technology-based educational transformation has become an essential competency. As educational leaders, school principals play a strategic role in ensuring the integration of digital technology in managing and developing learning at schools. However, previous research highlights a gap between the need for digital literacy in the field and the ability of school principals to utilize it effectively. Studies indicate that despite the availability of technology, digital learning has not been optimally implemented. This is attributed to the low competence of school principals in effectively using digital platforms. This research aims to develop and test the effectiveness of a strategic collaborative mentoring model as an approach to enhancing the digital literacy learning competence of school principals, particularly in using platforms like Google Meet and Canva. The study employed the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) design and development method, involving 40 school principals in Bojong District, Tegal Regency. The participants were divided into two groups: 20 principals in the control group and 20 principals in the experimental group. The learning tools trial was conducted using a t-test, while the effectiveness of the model was measured using the n-Gain Score test. The results indicate that the strategic collaborative mentoring model significantly improved the digital literacy learning competence of school principals. The average n-Gain Score shows a high category of improvement in the experimental group compared to the control group. The strategic collaborative mentoring model is effective in enhancing the digital literacy learning competence of school principals in supporting learning activities. This research contributes both theoretically and practically to the development of more strategic and collaborative mentoring-based training for school principals.

Abstract

This study examines strategic management in enhancing Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning at Cendikiawan Ceria Kindergarten, focusing on planning, implementation, and evaluation. Using a descriptive qualitative approach with interviews, observations, and document studies conducted over 25 days (August 5–30, 2024), findings show that religious programs such as iqro' reading, memorizing short surahs, daily prayers, and worship practices effectively enhance student religiosity. Strategic management involves systematic steps: formulating strategies, implementing activities, and periodic evaluations, including memorization and worship assessments. Despite its effectiveness, challenges remain, such as limited learning spaces, misaligned teacher qualifications, and student discipline management. This study highlights the need for a more conducive learning environment and professional teacher development to enhance PAI learning quality. Effective strategic management is expected to foster innovation and improve Islamic education quality at the kindergarten level.

The research method used is a mixed method, which combines qualitative and quantitative approaches to obtain a more comprehensive understanding. The results of the study indicate that there are variations in students' mathematical creative thinking skills that are influenced by their respective learning styles. Visual, auditory, and kinaesthetic learning styles have been shown to have a significant influence on students' mathematical creative thinking skills. In particular, auditory learning styles have the most dominant influence compared to visual and kinaesthetic learning styles. These findings indicate the importance of understanding students' learning styles to improve their mathematical creative thinking skills. Thus, the results of this study contribute to the development of adaptive learning strategies, in accordance with students' learning styles, in order to support the achievement of optimal learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study examines English language skills within the Merdeka Curriculum, focusing on the writing difficulties faced by students, particularly in producing descriptive texts. The methods commonly employed by teachers tend to emphasize reading skills, which negatively impacts writing learning outcomes. This research utilizes a quantitative approach with a factorial experimental design, involving 64 seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Adiwerna, divided into control and experimental classes. Data were collected through tests assessing students' writing skills in descriptive texts, with variables including the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) method based on digital infographics, writing learning outcomes, and academic achievement. The analysis results indicate significant differences between pre-test and post-test scores, as well as differences in academic achievement between students in low and high categories. There is also an interaction between academic achievement and the teaching method on students' learning outcomes. This study recommends the development of teaching methods that combine conventional elements with PjBL, as well as the need for teacher training in implementing these methods to enhance students' learning outcomes. Further research is also suggested to explore ways to increase student motivation in the learning process.

Abstract

In learning English as a foreign language, four skills should be mastered by the learners. They are listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Writing has an important role for people. Writing is one of the ways to communicate as well as speaking. Some people my not like it much, because in general, writing skills are rarely more favorite than other. After all, it includes many aspects such as vocabulary, grammar, idioms, and so on. Writing is also the most important skill you need in University. It will be helpful when we need to accomplish our theses.  Self-efficacy, an individual's belief in his or her ability to achieve certain goals, is considered an important factor influencing academic performance, including writing skills. This study involved 48 Semester 6th students from the English language education study program at the Palangka Raya State Islamic Institute, using a self-efficacy questionnaire and a writing test as instruments. Data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation to determine the strength and direction of the relationship between the two variables. From the results of the data analysis, it is clear that there is a relationship between self-efficacy (variable X) and writing ability (variable Y). The correlation results show that the value of r = 0.2053 is included in the "Weak" category, which indicates that although there is a positive correlation between Student Self-Efficacy and Writing Ability, this relationship is not strong. The coefficient of determination R² = 0.0422 or 4.22% indicates that only a small part of the variation in writing ability can be explained by student self-efficacy. T-test: The calculated t-value is 1.42. With a sample size of n = 48 and a commonly used significance level (α = 0.05), this t-value is not significant. This means there is no strong evidence to conclude that there is a significant relationship between self-efficacy and writing ability in this sample. The results of this study expand the understanding of the importance of other factors such as motivation, learning environment, and social support that may have more influence on improving writing skills. The study also confirms that the development of writing skills requires a holistic approach, which includes not only improving self-efficacy but also other aspects of the learning process.
