Jurnal Ekonomi dan Perbankan Syariah is a scholarly journal published by Islamic Banking Department, School of Islamic Economics STEI SEBI The JEPS journal has been issued since 2013 and it’s have published twice in a year in April and October. The journal has been publishing scholarly papers since 2013. Starting in 2018 onwards, we encourage authors to only submit research papers written in good-read English academic writing. The journal is designed to provide a forum for researchers or academicians and also practitioners who are interested in knowledge and in discussing ideas, issues and challenges in the field of Islamic economic and banking. To solve the problem of the ummah and to provide the solution for the gap between the theories and practices. The scope or coverage of this journal will include but are not limited to Islamic economics, Islamic business, Islamic banking, Islamic capital markets, Islamic wealth management, issues on shariah implementation/practices of Islamic banking, zakat and awqaf, takaful, Islamic corporate finance, shariah-compliant risk management, Islamic derivatives, issues of Shariah Supervisory Boards, Islamic business ethics.

Abstract

In the era of industrial revolution 4.0, technological developments made changes in the lifestyle of the modern generation. The purpose of this study was to analyze the perception of the use of electronic money, whether it supports the consumptive research of STEI SEBI students. The electronic money acceptance model in this study uses the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and the indicators used to measure the consumptive level of STEI SEBI students are indicators of consumptive behavior. The research used descriptive-quantitative. The data used are primary data sent from questionnaires distributed to STEI SEBI students. The method of analysis in this study uses a simple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that electronic money has a positive and significant influence on the consumptive students of STEI SEBI, users using high electronic money than making consumptive STEI SEBI students will also increase.

Abstract

The development of the educational institution industry continues to increase, which demands an effective marketing strategy to face the increasingly tight competition in the education service business. This research is a qualitative research methodology with a descriptive approach that aims to determine the marketing strategy of Baitul Qur'an educational institutions. The analysis tool used is the analysis of the company's environment (EFE, IFE, and IE Matrix) with the SWOT method (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat). The results of the Baitul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School evaluation based on Internal and External analysis obtained from the SWOT analysis resulted in an alternative strategy of S-O (Strength-Opportunity). Then, the results of the SWOT analysis are reprocessed using the QSPM (quantitative strategic planning matrix) method to obtain priority strategies from various alternative strategies as well as a decision to choose a strategy. The priority strategy in this study is to optimize the use of digital marketing and other marketing technologies to support the development of Islamic boarding schools in a wider area (6,87).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect simultaneously and partially between the variables of Religiosity, Brand Image, and Word of Mouth on the customer decision process in applying for prudential sharia insurance. This research is quantitative. The data used are primary data by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents and secondary data obtained by conducting a literature study. Sampling was done by using a quantitative purposive sampling technique. The data analysis method uses multiple linear regression. The results of this study indicate that there is a simultaneous influence on the variable Religiosity, Brand Image, and Word of Mouth on the customer decision process. The results of this study also indicate partially that Religiosity, Brand Image, and Word of Mouth significantly influence customer decision processes. The results of the determination show that the customer decision process can be explained by the variable Religiosity, Brand Image, and Word of Mouth by 31.1%. This means that there is a 68.9% (100% -31.1%) variance of the dependent variable explained by other factors not included in this study.

Abstract

Financial management board hajj is an institution in which manages investment funds haji who uses the shariah principle in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the optimization of Indonesian BPKH investment in a period of the year 2017-2019 in diversified portfolios by adopting both Markowitz. The research data is historical data on investment is being done by BPKH in 2017-2019 which includes instruments, deposits sharia bonds, and a projection on the stocks, and the real sector accommodation. This study used a quantitative approach with the study descriptive. The technique of analysis that was used in this research is the solutions to the results of the portfolio equation optimal with the help of a computer program ms excel solver. The research results show the portfolio BPKH scenario of Indonesia concerning the period of 2017-2019 which showed the level of expected return and 3 on risk scenario investment composition. About the scenario conservative expected return 7,76 % and on the risk 1,09 % , scenario moderate expected return 14,70 % and on the risk 3,22 %, scenario aggressive expected return 26,62 % and on the risk 6,39 %.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of E-marketing with the AISAS model on mutual fund investment decisions. This research using quantitative research. Data was obtained by distributing online questionnaires to 34 respondents who had or were investing in Bibit Mutual Fund Fintechs that had been registered in the OJK. The sampling technique in this study is purposive sampling, while the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach is using a data analysis technique. Based on the results of data analysis,  Attention variable has a significant effect on Interest variable, Interest variable has a significant effect on Search variable, Search variable has a significant effect on Action variable, Action variable has a significant effect on Share variable, and Share variable has a significant effect on Investment Decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of career development and motivation on employee performance. This research using quantitative research. Data were obtained by questionnaires to 37 respondents who worked at BSM Region III Office in 2020. The sampling technique in this study is non-probability sampling, with the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach is using a data analysis technique. Based on the results of data analysis,  career development has a significant effect on employee performance and motivation has a significant effect on employee performance. Therefore, by providing career development opportunities and motivation for employees will improve employee performance. Keywords: Career Development; Motivation; Employee Performance
