The Indonesia Journal of Business Administration(IJBA) is a business journal that bridges the gap between business research and practice, evaluating and reporting on new research to help readers identify and understand significant trends in their fields. The IJBA seeks to publish papers relating to business, broadly defined. It publishes articles that address both theoretical and practical issues in the broad areas of Business Strategy and Marketing, People and Knowledge Management, Entrepreneurship and Technology Management, Decision Making and Strategic Negotiation, Operation and Performance Management, and Business Risk and Finance.Contributing academicians and researchers are encouraged to address a variety of concerns relating to all areas of business. We also encourage students to use an interdisciplinary approach to analyzing a topic, which often yields interesting and novel papers. The published articles provide valuable insight into matters of broad intellectual and practical concern to academicians and business professionals. The Journalis published three times a year: in April, July and October. The journal is mainly an outlet of MBA ITB students to publish their final project works, although it also accepts articles written by students at masters level from other institutions. A published paper is an honor that will be unambiguously beneficial for professional and academic careers, especially for those who want to attend graduate/professional schools. This means that papers written in relations to Accounting, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Management, Operations Management, Information Systems, Business Law, Corporate Ethics, and Public Policy all qualify for submission. Information on the journal format can be found in the journal's website. The number of pages must be at 10 pages. Existing condition in SHIA cargo terminal and plan for new Cargo Village create opportunity for PT AP II to enter as cargo terminal operator. Before deciding whether to become cargo terminal operator or let other cargo terminal operator as operator in SHIA Cargo Village, PT AP II wanted to know which development scenario – Self-Build & Operations or Build-Operate-Transfer - has the highest financial indicators. Monte Carlo Simulation is conducted to determine the probability of success of each business scheme. Abstract

A privately-owned eye hospital operating since 1923 is beginning to take steps in managing its brand. The approach is based on Service-Dominant Logic, to ensure patient-orientation and relevance. Research was conducted to determine the factors that determine patients’ hospital choice, hospital quality evaluation, and the hospital’s performance in those factors. The results suggested that there are six factors considered when choosing a hospital: the perceived ability to cure illnesses, the skill of the doctors, the specialization of the hospital, the complete equipment owned by the hospital, the experience level of the doctors, and the extent of the patient’s trust to the hospital. The hospital performs well in all six factors.Among the many factors considered when evaluating a hospital’s quality, there are three factors which have higher importance than average, but the hospital’s performance is lower than average: speed of treatment, established trust, and friendliness. The hospital is bound by the Code of Ethics of Indonesian Hospital, in conducting its promotional activities. The hospital is advised to communicate its competence in the six most important decision factors; it is done by placing posters and information boards throughout the hospital, and by opening a new media for communication with the public: online social media (Facebook). The hospital is advised to improve its quality by forming an Information Center, providing Patient Notification Service, simplifying the administrative process, and encouraging doctors to be more confident and give more explanations. Abstract

Compensation system of School of Business and Management (SBM), Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), covers lecturers and non-academic employees’ compensation system.  The system that regulates non-academic employees has not met the criteria of internal equity and external competitiveness. The current compensation system is  also likely to apply the model of 100% fixed salary, so it has not been able to encourage employee motivation to perform at the maximum. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate and redesign the implemented compensation system of SBM ITB from the internal point of view. To capture the business issue, questionnaire distribution and FGD activity were conducted on 30 representative employees concerning internal equity, external competitiveness, employee contributions, management of the pay system, and budget capabilities. The results reveal that employees felt dissatisfied with the payroll components and also questioned about the existence of communication forum to facilitate information sharing and grievances. The possible alternative solutions are applying person-based compensation model considering the educational background and job experience as the entry level criteria,   job-based   compensation   model,   and   adjustable benefit alocation with specific payroll components of each and also reinforcing the communication forum for employees.
