Abstract

Based on data in Indonesia, the comparison of the incidence of nausea and vomiting leading to pathological or hyperemesis gravidarum is 4: 1000 pregnancies. It is estimated that 50% to 80% of pregnant women experience nausea and vomiting and approximately 5% of pregnant women require treatment for fluid replacement and correction of electrolyte imbalances. The occurrence of pregnancy causes hormonal changes in women because there is an increase in the hormones estrogen, progesterone, and the release of the placental chorionic gonadothropine (HCG) hormone. This study aimed to determine the effect of ginger decoction on the frequency of emesis gravidarum in the first trimester. The design used was a quasi-experimental design. The location of this study was carried out at PMB R. Agustina on July 29, 2021 to August 8, 2021. In this study, the number of samples taken by pregnant women who were experiencing emesis gravidarum were 15 experimental groups and 15 total control groups 30. Independent variable was the ginger decoction, and dependent Variable was emesis gravidarum in first trimester among pregnant women. Research instruments can be in the form of a questionnaire (a list of questions), an observation form. Using the Mann Whitney Test. The results showed that the emesis gravidarum before being given ginger boiled water was 9.07 after being given ginger boiled water was 5.27, it was known that the emesis gravidarum before the control was 8.20 after the control was 6.47. There was an Effect of Giving Ginger decoction on Emesis Gravidarum in Pregnant Women TM 1 (p-value 0.001). It is hoped that it can increase public knowledge and is expected to be useful for respondents in knowing about the effect of ginger drink on reducing the frequency of emesis gravidarium in first trimester pregnant women.

There was a relationship between knowledge (p-value 0.000 OR 3.682), attitudes (p-value 0.000 OR 5.308), and sources of information (p-value 0.002 OR 4.460) with the behavior of preventing the transmission of COVID-19 in pregnant women. This results can be used as a reference to improve mindset and knowledge and make additional knowledge during a pandemic. Abstract

Based on a preliminary study conducted in the Jawilan Health Center area, from data on deliveries from February to April 2021, there were 173 deliveries, while 50 women gave birth without uterine rupture. Perineal wounds in postpartum mothers that do not heal immediately can cause infection; several factors are known to be associated with the duration of perineal wound healing. This study aimed to determine the factors associated with perineal wound healing in postpartum mothers. This study used an analytic survey, the sampling technique used total sampling and a cross-sectional design. The research instrument contained a questionnaire about five factors of perineal wound healing. The results showed that there was a relationship between perineal wound healing with knowledge (p-value 0.045 <0.05), personal hygiene (p-value 0.035 <0.05), nutrition (p-value 0.000 <0.05), early mobilization ( p-value 0.001 < 0.05). There is no relationship between perineal wound healing and family support (p-value 0.085> 0.05). This study concludes that there is a significant relationship between knowledge, personal hygiene, nutrition, and early mobilization with perineal wound healing.

Abstract

Dam ASI (Air Susu Ibu) results from breast milk that is not immediately released and causes blockage of venous and lymphatic flow, most of which occur on the second to the tenth day of the puerperium. Based on a preliminary study conducted at the Jawilan Health Center UPT, data was obtained from January to June 2021 for postpartum mothers who experienced breast milk damming as many as 75 people. This study aims to analyze the effect of red betel leaf (Piper crocatum) on breast milk dams in postpartum mothers with a quasi-experimental design and a pre-test and post-test design with a control group. The sample in this study was 30 people. The instrument used the SPES checklist, and observations were carried out for four days, from the 7th to the 10th day after postpartum. The analysis used is the non-parametric Wilcoxon statistic test to test for differences in groups and the Mann-Whitney test to test differences between groups. The swelling score before and after the red betel compress on the 7th day is 5.53 and on the 10th day is 1.27. In the control group, the swelling score on the 7th day was 5.73, and on the 10th day was 2.53. In the in-group difference test, p<0.05, and the difference between groups, p<0.05. There was a significant decrease in swelling scores before and after giving red betel leaf to a postpartum mother's breast milk dam.

Abstract

Virgin Coconut Oil is a non-pharmacological therapy that can be applied to overcome the problem of impaired skin integrity. Virgin coconut oil contains antioxidants and is rich in vitamin E. The aim of the review was to determine the effect of VCO on impaired skin integrity in farmers with dermatitis. Initial searches for articles were made on Google Scholar and PubMed. Studies on the application of virgin coconut oil found 2,560 articles/journals but only 8 articles met the search criteria. According to search results, virgin coconut oil therapy can solve the problem of impaired skin integrity. Besides, it is also very important to be applied as a non-pharmacological therapy for farmers who are at risk of contact dermatitis. It is hoped that health professionals can recommend this as a therapy for disease problems related to impaired skin integrity such as dermatitis.

Abstract

Floods and landslides are crisis conditions for farmers who have the potential to cause trauma. The capacity of farmers to deal with, overcome and change due to traumatic experiences varies throughout life. Resilience will form coping mechanisms and influence mental health. Method: This research is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional design. Questionnaires were given to 100 farmers. Resilience was assessed using The Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC). Univariate statistical analysis to determine the proportion of resilience. Results: The mean resilience of farmers after a disaster is 95.72. Discussion: Resilience is a stable personality trait characterized by an individual's ability to rise again from negative experiences and the ability to adapt to continual changes in life. Farmers who are directly affected by a disaster are in a traumatic condition, so they are very vulnerable to stress. The mental endurance of each farmer is different, according to the influencing factors
