Abstract

The purpose of this thesis is to study the capabilities and limitations of QR codes as a data sharing media. For this study, author has developed a web application to provide QR code management for users. The web application is implemented in a website named Quick Save which provides data storage, sharing, and QR code generator service. With this website, author can analyze problems and methods of sharing encrypted data in a quick and effective way. The encrypted data is written into the QR code which serves as a link between users and the data or file stored in the web application storage. The method that is used in this thesis study is the System Development Life Cycle method. Based the on the result of the thesis study, author concludes that the implementation of data sharing web application can provide encrypted data sharing, file storing and downloading service for user by using a QR code scanner from their mobile device. The web application has also fulfilled author’s need in researching the capabilities of QR code.

Abstract

The automotive industry in Indonesia has suggestively increased during the past several years, thus drives people with the desire to own private transportations, in which positively correlates to generate huge markets in repairing and maintenance works. Meanwhile, lots of automobile owners have troubles in selecting workshop due to their either lack of available workshops’ information or even due to services being provided by workshops. The goal of FiXHER is solving the problems stated. By providing detail information to their very door step in application mobile platform, is believe to be able to minimize breakdown and improve productivity for both automobile owners and workshops. With the help of agile methodology, scrum model, FiXHER mobile application is maintained in its best way and finished before estimate times.

Abstract

There are so much video blog on internet. It already become a trend for now, where people can record and upload video to internet and can be watched by audiences. But because some video blog has boring visual, especially lack of cinematic content in the video blog. And with cinematic videos is actually can attract more audience. Therefore with this video blog can help people understand how to make cinematic sequence with some tips on this video blog. This video blog develop using Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC), where is contain 6 steps which is, concept, design, material collecting, assembly, testing and distribution. Final result of this video blog contains tips on how to make cinematic sequence, which are compiled using Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2017. Final video are implemented on the youtube website, after implemented the video, this video able to provide some tips to audience about content in this video blog.

Abstract

Learning media are generally defined as tools, methods, and techniques that are used sequentially to channel messages and learning information so that communication and interaction between lecturers and students can be more effective in the process of education and teaching. With the advancement of technology, learning media are no longer limited in form and number and can be easily used in the teaching process. Thus, learning media is an important part of the education process, and is one aspect that must be mastered by each teacher to be able to carry out its professional functions. The purpose of this research is to design a learning media for Bataknese Cuisine using Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) method. The result of this study is Bataknese Cuisine learning application developed and built using Unity software. This application design is expected to provide information and teach the user about Bataknese Cuisine.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang sebuah sistem yang berbasis online yang dapat digunakan oleh Biro Administrasi Akademik dan Kemahasiswaan (BAAK) Universitas Internasional Batam untuk membantu dalam mencatat formulir pendaftaran sidang kerja praktek, skripsi dan tesis. Sistem berbasis online yang dirancang akan dibangun dengan menggunakan teknik pemrograman HTML, Javascript, CSS, PHP. Untuk membantu proses pembangunan peneliti menggunakan framework PHP yang berupa Laravel, dan framework css yang berupa Bootstrap. Penelitian ini membuahkan sebuah sistem berbasis online yang digunakan oleh mahasiswa UIB untuk mengajukan pendaftaran sidang kerja praktek, skripsi dan tesis. Berdasarkan kebutuhan projek yang dirancang, metodologi yang digunakan dalam perancangan aplikasi ini adalah metode scrum. Metode scrum adalah bagian dari metode Agile yang mana akan membantu untuk meningkatkan fleksibilitas dan kecepatan dalam tahap pembangunan sistem ini. Dengan mengimplementasikan sistem ini, BAAK menjadi lebih mudah untuk melakukan pengelolaan terhadap data mahasiswa sehingga menjadi lebih efektif dan efisien dan mahasiswa bisa mendaftar sidang dalam jarak jauh tanpa harus menghadirkan fisik ke kampus UIB
