Abstract

Language is something that all people have, so all languages (and different ways of saying the same thing) are the same. In other words, they all share the exact genetic blueprint and are equally "human." The aim of the research is to describe a literature review of hate speech: forensic linguistics study. This research employs a descriptive methodology. Some forensic linguistics-related publications and papers comprise the data for this study. The result shows that with the help of forensic linguistics, it is possible to look into how people talk about legal issues arising from it. As an interdisciplinary field, forensic linguistics analyzes and defines courtroom language as evidence for police, judges, and attorneys. Forensic linguistics looks at texts like emergency calls, ransom demands and other threats, suicide letters, last words from death row, and confessions and denials by public figures. In addition, several areas of forensic linguistics can be investigated in legal matters, including auditory phonetics, acoustic phonetics, interpretation of expressed meaning (semantics), interpretation of inferred meaning (discourse and pragmatics), stylistics, and questioned authorship, the language of the law, language of the courtroom, interpretation, and translation. it may be decided that speech and language are inextricably linked and cannot be separated

Abstract

Forensic linguistics is a subfield of corpus linguistics that uses linguistic information, analysis techniques, and linguistic insights to the setting of subjects such as law, criminal investigation, trial, and judicial procedure. In addition to different aspects of criminal investigation and court proceedings, its scope encompasses the domains of authorship identification (such as authorship verification, authorship profiling, and authorship attribution). The aim research is to identifying suicide notes using forensic linguistics. The research method used cumulative sum calculation strategy for elements: SL, Pron, Prep, Ver, Adj, Adv, Conj, CSS-SL, CSS-Pron, CSS-Prep, CSS-Ver, CSS-Adj, CSS-Adv, & CSS-Conj. The program read the given texts and counted the percentage of words that reflect different emotions, thinking styles, and social concerns. The result shows that from the two letters that have been analyzed above, it can be concluded that LETTER 1 has several aspects that support that the letter is original and was written by a single author. On the other hand, LETTER 2 does not have aspects that support the indicator that the letter is genuine, but all aspects analyzed strengthen the indicator that the letter is fabricated, as evidenced by the results of the analysis shown in the graph (file attached).

The aim research is to described a judge’s speech: India’s Harish Salve argues case for Kulbhushan Jadhav (A Forensic Linguistic study). This research used descriptive qualitative method. This study used lexical semantics (verbal communication such as sounds, words, language and speech) in visual media. This research method used qualitative by describing the data. The result shows that the attorney is attempting to learn more about the witness who testified that contributions are permissible in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 52 of 1995 and Regional Regulation No. 8 of 1995. Where the witness will implicitly recollect the incident and the legal grounds upon why he issued the policy. The terminology used in the preceding paragraph was the most intriguing aspect. It contains explicit language and an introduction before posing the question. And it appeared quite confusing. This was intended to disrupt the witness's concentration. So that the judge can determine if the witness answered the question tentatively or confidently. If there is uncertainty, the witness will likely feel uncertain or will make a false statement.

Abstract

Forensic linguistics is the branch of the linguistics study which investigates legal text in crime. The aim research is to identify the suicide notes: forensic linguistic profiling analysis. The research method used cumulative sum calculation strategy for elements: SL, Pron, Prep, Ver, Adj, Adv, Conj, CSS-SL, CSS-Pron, CSS-Prep, CSS-Ver, CSS-Adj, CSS-Adv, & CSS-Conj. The program read the given texts and counted the percentage of words that reflect different emotions, thinking styles, and social concerns. The result shows that Based on the analysis of the first letter, a graph of parallel relationships is obtained between SL and CSS-SL, Pron and CSS-Pron, Ver and CSS-Ver, Adv and CSS-Adv, and Conj and CSS-Conj. Meanwhile, there are still lines that intersect in the graph of the relationship between Prep and CSS-Prep and Adj and CSS-Adj. This indicates that the first letter is genuine, considering that the number of graphs showing parallel relationships is more dominant than those with intersecting lines.
