Abstract

Food security is a condition in which all household have physical and economic access to obtain food for all family members, where households are not at risk of losing both accesses. Due to the conversion of agricultural land into residential land due to the tsunami in 2004, the people of Alue Ambang Village had to fulfill their food needs, especially vegetables, by supplying food from outside tuhe village. Farmer groups can be formed as an effort to increase productivity through joint farming management. This study aims to empower farmer groups in an effort to improve food security in Alue Ambang Village, Teunom District, Aceh Jaya Regency. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method using a descriptive approach which is carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation, using the technique of determining informants and purposive sampling locations. The total population in this study was 15 people and 5 people were used as samples. The results of the research show that the empowerment of farmer groups is by utilizing the land house yards help the community and farmer groups to meet their household food needs from farmimg. The running of the farmer group must have the support of various related parties such as the head of the farmer group, members of the farmer group and community leaders.

Abstract

In a global era that increasingly emphasizes the issue of climate change and environmental sustainability, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have a crucial role in combining economic growth with environmental preservation. Bener Meriah Regency, as one of the leading Arabica coffee producers in Indonesia, has a golden opportunity to adopt the green MSME model in the coffee business. This business model emphasizes the application of green technology and a circular economy that optimizes the use of resources. This research was conducted in Bener Meriah Regency during the period June to September 2023, using the Business Model Canvas method and the green business concept from Bank Indonesia. The research results show that Arabica coffee MSMEs in Bener Meriah Regency have started implementing a green business model with a focus on various aspects, including production, marketing, human resources, and finance. In addition, the adoption of this business model is reinforced by the principles of green entrepreneurship, where sustainability is a core part of business operations. This gives a positive indication of the potential of MSMEs in Bener Meriah Regency to contribute to creating a more sustainable and environmentally friendly economy.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the factors that influence the performance of inspectorate auditors in North Sumatra province with auditor independence as a moderating variable. This type of research is causality research, namely research that aims to analyze possible cause-and-effect relationships based on observations. This research was conducted using primary data with a survey method obtained through distributing questionnaires to auditors. The results of this research are that the first hypothesis is accepted, the Experience variable (X1) has a significant effect on the Auditor Performance variable (Y). The second hypothesis is accepted, the Knowledge variable (X2) has a significant effect on the Auditor Performance variable (Y). The third hypothesis is rejected, The Auditor Motivation variable (X3) has no significant effect on the Auditor Performance variable (Y). The fourth hypothesis is accepted, meaning that Experience (X1), Knowledge (X2), Auditor Motivation (X3) and Independence (Z) have a significant effect together (simultaneously) on the Auditor Performance variable (Y). The fifth hypothesis is accepted. The Independence variable (Z) is a moderator variable that influences the relationship between Experience (X1) and Auditor Performance (Y). The sixth hypothesis is accepted. The Independence variable (Z) is a moderator variable that influences the relationship between Knowledge (X2) and Auditor Performance (Y). The seventh hypothesis is rejected. The independence variable (Z) is not a moderator variable that influences the relationship between Auditor Motivation (X3) and Auditor Performance (Y). In order for the experience of auditors at the North Sumatra Provincial Inspectorate to be of higher quality, it is best to pay attention to the level of education and provide training regarding the implementation of audits and understanding the regulations as an auditor. So that auditors understand better and can carry out their duties well, because the knowledge and education obtained to audit requires a lot of experience. Abstract

The food estate program is a government program made for Humbahas farmers as a food barn where one of their commodities is shallots. Shallot marketing is difficult due to the incomplete involvement of cooperation between stakeholders. The purpose of this study is to analyze farmers' perceptions of internal and external factors related to shallot agribusiness in the food estate area in Humbang Hasundutan Regency. The method of analysis of this research is descriptive quantitative analysis using a Likert scale measurement, using a questionnaire (questionnaire) on the components of internal and external indicators. The results showed that the level of farmers' perceptions of factors was relatively high. With an average score for internal factors of 3.18 and an average score for external factors of 2.70. Internal factors that have the highest influence on shallot farmers are land clearing capital from the government, production inputs supplied by investors and cross-road infrastructure that has been built. While the external factors that have the highest influence are the greater employment opportunities for farmers and the food estate agricultural technology used. Meanwhile, the factors that need attention are the price of shallots, the percentage of the profit sharing system, marketing of shallots and cooperation agreement contracts. Abstract

This research aims to determine the internal control system, human resource competence, and the use of information technology on the quality of financial reports. Respondents in this study totaled 150 respondents consisting of employees of PT. Vantsing International Group as many as 50 respondents and employees of PT. X as many as 100 respondents. Researchers use comparative causal research, to determine the influence of one or more independent variables on the dependent variable. Researchers used PLS SEM version 3.0 statistical software. The results of this research found that the internal control system has a positive and statistically significant effect on the quality of financial reports, as well as human resource competence has a positive and statistically significant effect on the quality of financial reports, and also the use of information technology has a positive and statistically significant effect on quality. financial statements. This research focuses on the quality of financial reports of a private company, where the majority of previous research has examined the quality of financial reports in the government environment.

Abstract

In increasing the growth of creative businesses, it is necessary to create a targeted strategy by adjusting market conditions. The growth of the Medan city souvenir business is increasingly famous, this is indicated by the many communities that share the same liking for Medan souvenirs and the existence of content as an action to increase promotion and brand image. regional business. The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze community and content strategies for business growth through brand image as an intervening variable in Medan city souvenirs. The results of the study show that the Community has a significant effect on brand image, partially the Community does not have a significant effect on Business Growth, partially Content has a significant effect on Brand Image, partially Content has a significant effect on Business Growth and partially brand image has a significant effect on Business Growth meaning the direction of the influence is positive. Brand image as an intervening variable has a significant impact on increasing the influence of the Community on Business Growth. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of social capital on community participation in Gampong Blang Geulumpang, particularly in the development of the Idi Nusantara Fisheries Port (PPN). Social capital components, including trust, norms, and tolerance, are considered vital in enhancing community engagement. A quantitative approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) processed through SmartPLS 4.0 software. Primary data were collected from 86 respondents selected through purposive sampling. The findings suggest that social capital has a significant impact on community participation. Trust and norms are the most contributing elements, while tolerance creates a conducive environment, but has no direct effect on participation. The study recommends strengthening social capital elements, particularly trust and norms, to support active and sustainable participation in development efforts. The results are expected to serve as a reference for policymakers and academics in managing social capital in coastal areas.
