Abstract

West Java Province produces several superior commodities, especially in agriculture. Rice production needs to be increased through the movement of the flow of goods effectively and efficiently in logistics activities so that it can increase the rate of the economy in West Java Province. This study aims to analyze rice production on the movement of rice commodities in West Java Province. The research method uses descriptive quantitative methods. The data used in this study are data generated by the movement of rice commodities and data on rice production in West Java Province in 2016. The analytical approach used is linear regression and statistical tests are performed on the regression equation function to test the significance level. Based on the results of linear regression analysis, the function equation is y = 316.21 + 0.16x. It can be concluded that the greater the amount of rice production, the greater the generation of rice commodity movement. In addition, from statistical tests, it can be seen that the amount of rice production has a strong relationship and has a positive and significant linear effect on the rise of the movement of rice commodities in West Java.

Abstract

Covid-19 Pandemic in recent years forces urgent application of online learning in all levels of education. The implementation of online learning, especially at the higher level of education, uses various kinds of learning media, including Zoom application, Google Classroom, Google Meet, Youtube, Quizizz, Whatsapp, and several other applications. Introduction to Management is one of the compulsories first semester courses for students of the Logistics Engineering Study Program, UPI. This study wants to know how the process and evaluation of online learning affect the overall education in introduction to management course. Observation and sociometry methods in the form of evaluation rubric was used to get the data needed regarding how the students interact with their group when they do assignments. The problems in online learning such as power outages, internet network problems, packets running out can be resolved by balancing the use of video conference and WhatsApp media. The distribution of the evaluation rubric given to students at the end of the lecture is better to know it earlier, so that cases of inactivity of one of the students in group assignments can be anticipated.

Abstract

Nowdays COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic has affected almost all countries and has made an effect on the global supply chain in general and food agricultural supply chain in specific. The effect of this pandemic can be cluster by time period as the initial blockade period and as the later period of the pandemic. This new condition made us to pay attention about what differences before, during, and after the pandemic that will occur. The aim of this research are to know not only during the pandemic, but also what may be happen after the pandemic, especially on food agriculture supply chain. In this research we use literature study method which there are 9 articles has been reviewed. We find out that this pandemic not to significantly affect the structure of food agricultural supply chain, but there is a possibility to shorten the food agricultural supply chain if needed.

Abstract

Modern logistics technology may be the key to breaking the deadlock. Utilizing modern logistics technology to build an efficient logistics platform is an effective way to capture opportunities in today's global competitive environment. However, modern logistics still encounter several challenges. Fortunately, the development of big data and smart technology has driven the development of smart logistics. Building a smart logistics platform is conducive to controlling costs, increasing efficiency, reducing energy consumption, etc. With advances in information technology, the existing modern logistics technology can be enhanced to produce maximum and measurable output. This paper aims to discuss findings about the extent to which artificial intelligence is applied in supporting logistical activities by targeting several previous studies. The following literature study aims to determine the level of usability that has been applied in the implementation stage. In order to obtain data or information, proposers conduct a review of previous studies. This literature study was carried out with the aim of seeing the level of satisfaction and usability of the use of Artificial Intelligence in the logistics sector from the stakeholder's point of view. The information obtained in the discussion section shows that use shows a significant impact on indicators of effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity levels.

Abstract

Living a life requires many things to meet needs for the present, tomorrow, next week, next month, and even for the future. One fundamental factor that can support meeting life's needs and facilitate a smoother life is education. In brief, education provides new knowledge, shapes personal character for the better, and eases the path to a brighter future for all individuals pursuing formal and non-formal education, which benefits themselves, society, and the nation. After completing primary and junior high school education, one can continue to pursue secondary and higher education (bachelor's, postgraduate, professional, and vocational education). Internship becomes a mandatory aspect in vocational education as it serves as an introduction to the industry and the world of work. Vocational education emphasizes structured learning, skills, and more directed expertise. Therefore, this research aims to determine students' readiness to participate in internship programs, the benefits derived from internships, and the impact of internships on both students and vocational education. This research employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The results indicate that job readiness involves the development of students' work-related attitudes, values, knowledge, and skills, and internships are highly necessary to train students to become accustomed to real workplace conditions and environments.
