Abstract

Learning mathematics during the pandemic has many challenges such as internet constraints, be it network quality or limited internet quota owned by students or students. This research uses a sequential explanatory design to investigate the effectiveness of the combined use of WhatApp (WA) and Google Classroom (GC) in learning mathematics, especially in the Elementary Algebra course. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling and the selected class was class A which is one of the classes from one of the universities in South Sulawesi. Related to qualitative data, surveys and interviews were conducted to find out how students respond to the implementation of the use of the two applications and why the use of the two applications is effective / ineffective in mathematics learning. The results showed that the mean of the class scores is 80.12 with a standard deviation of 1.85. Based on inferential analysis, combination of WA and GC in learning mathematics in the Elementary Algebra course was effective. In addition, most students gave positive responses. Based on students' perspectives, the ease of access, features of both applications and ease of use are the reasons for the success of mathematics learning using WA and GC.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengetahuan konseptual matematis siswa SMK khusus kelas X pada materi sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Indikator pengetahuan konseptual yang digunakan yaitu mengenali contoh dan noncontoh dari konsep; menafsirkan model, simbol, tanda, atau istilah yang digunakan untuk mewakili konsep; memanipulasi ide-ide terkait dengan penggunaan berbagai macam representasi; serta mengidentifikasi prinsip-prinsip yang berkaitan pada materi sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel. Terdapat empat subjek penelitian yaitu dua siswa kategori sedang dan dua siswa kategori rendah. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah instrumen tes pengetahuan konseptual dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kategori sedang hanya mampu memenuhi indikator menafsirkan model, simbol, tanda, atau istilah yang digunakan untuk mewakili konsep dan mengidentifikasi prinsip-prinsip yang berkaitan pada materi sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel. Sedangkan, siswa dengan kategori rendah hanya mampu memenuhi indikator menafsirkan model, simbol, tanda, atau istilah yang digunakan untuk mewakili konsep dan mengidentifikasi prinsip-prinsip yang berkaitan pada materi sistem persamaan linear tiga variabel.Kata Kunci: Pengetahuan Konseptual, Siswa, Sistem Persamaan Linear Tiga Variabel (SPLTV), SMKThis study aims to determine the mathematical conceptual knowledge of SMK students specifically for class X on the material of a three-variable system of linear equations. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. The indicators of conceptual knowledge used are recognizing examples and non-examples of concepts; interpreting models, symbols, signs, or terms used to represent concepts; manipulate ideas related to the use of multiple representations; and identify the principles related to the material of the three-variable system of linear equations. There are four research subjects, namely two students in the middle category and two students in the low category. The data collection technique used is interviews. The instruments used in data collection were conceptual knowledge test instruments and interview guidelines. The results showed that students in the medium category were only able to fulfill the indicators of interpreting models, symbols, signs, or terms used to represent concepts and identify principles related to the material of a three-variable linear equation system. Meanwhile, students in the low category are only able to fulfill the indicators of interpreting models, symbols, signs, or terms used to represent concepts and identify principles related to the material of a three-variable linear equation system. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan konsentrasi belajar dan kematangan emos siswa terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas X SMA. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian ex post facto dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 205 siswa yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik stratified cluster random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner konsentrasi belajar, kuesioner kematangan emosi siswa dan tes hasil belajar matematika. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan analisis statistika deskriptif dan statistika inferensial dengan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi belajar dan kematangan emosi siswa berada pada kategori tinggi dan hasil belajar matematika siswa berada pada kategori sedang, konsentrasi belajar dan kematangan emosi siswa mempunyai hubungan secara bersama-sama terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas X SMA,konsentrasi belajar mempunyai hubungan positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas X SMA, kematangan emosi siswa mempunyai hubungan positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas X SMA.Kata Kunci: konsentrasi belajar, kematangan emosi, hasil belajar matematika.This study was conducted to determine the relationship between learning concentration and student emotional maturity to mathematics learning outcomes of class X high school students. This study is an ex-post facto study with a research sample of 205 students selected using the stratified cluster random sampling technique. The instruments used are a learning concentration questionnaire, a student emotional maturity questionnaire and a mathematics learning outcomes test. The data from the study were analyzed by descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics with multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that students' learning concentration and emotional maturity are in the high category and students' mathematics learning outcomes are in the moderate category, learning concentration and student emotional maturity have a joint relationship with mathematics learning outcomes of class X high school students, learning concentration has a positive relationship with mathematics learning outcomes of class X high school students, student emotional maturity has a positive relationship with mathematics learning outcomes  a student of class X high school.Keywords: learning concentration, emotional maturity, mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMA dalam menyelesaikan soal matematika pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel (SPLDV) ditinjau dari kemampuan awal matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan 6 subjek siswa SMA kelas XI MIPA 2 berdasarkan kemampuan awal matematika yang dari hasil tes tersebut dikelompokkan menjadi kemampuan awal tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Selanjutnya, dipilih masing-masing dua siswa untuk dijadikan subjek penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan matematika, tes kemampuan awal matematika dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu kondensasi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Analisis tes kemampuan matematika mengacu pada tiga aspek kemampuan berpikir kreatif yaitu fluency, flexibility, dan novelty. Adapun hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa (1) Siswa dengan kemampuan awal tinggi memperoleh tingkat 3, karena memenuhi 2 (dua) aspek kemampuan berpikir kreatif yaitu kefasihan (fluency) dan keluwesan (flexibility);(2) Siswa dengan kemampuan awal sedang memperoleh tingkat 3, karena memenuhi 2 (dua) aspek kemampuan berpikir kreatif yaitu kefasihan (fluency) dan kebaruan (novelty);(3) Siswa dengan kemampuan awal rendah memperoleh tingkat 1, karena memenuhi 1 (satu) aspek kemampuan berpikir kreatif yaitu kefasihan (fluency).Kata Kunci: Berpikir Kreatif, Matematika, SMA, SPLDV

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis ditinjau dari self esteem. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik random sampling dan jumlah sampel yaitu 26 peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan menggunakan instrumen tes dan non-tes. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, angket self esteem, dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis statistika deskriptif dan statistika inferensial dengan analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing tidak berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kategori SER (Self esteem rendah), (2) Penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berpengaruh sebesar 27,3% terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kategori SES (Self esteem sedang), dan (2) Penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berpengaruh sebesar 82,8% terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kategori SET (Self esteem tinggi).Kata Kunci: Inkuiri Terbimbing, Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis, Self esteemThis study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the application of the guided inquiry learning model on critical thinking skills in terms of self-esteem. The sampling technique in this study used a random sampling technique and the number of samples was 26 students. Data collection techniques are using test and non-test instruments. The instruments used are tests of students' critical thinking skills, self-esteem questionnaires, and learning implementation observation sheets. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics with simple linear regression analysis. The results showed that: (1) The application of the guided inquiry learning model had no effect on the critical thinking skills of students in the SER category (low self-esteem), (2) The application of the guided inquiry learning model had an effect of 27.3% on the critical thinking skills of students in the SES category ( moderate self-esteem), and (2) the application of the guided inquiry learning model has an effect of 82.8% on the critical thinking ability of students in the SET category (high self-esteem).Keywords: Guided Inquiry, Critical Thinking Skills, Self-Esteem

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using a realistic mathematical approach to the Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) of SMA Negeri 2 Majene (SMAN 2 Majene), Indonesia. The subjects of this research were four students of class XI at SMAN 2 Majene. This research used a descriptive qualitative method. The instrument used was PISA-based HOTS questions developed based on a realistic mathematical approach to test students' HOTS. The average score obtained by students in answering test questions ranged from 61-80. It was concluded that the HOTS of SMA Negeri 2 Majene students were good. It showed that the realistic mathematics education effectively increased students' HOTS.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan ex post facto bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh potensi diri, kebiasaan belajar dan kemampuan numerik terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa SMP. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 78 siswa SMP kelas VIII yang dipilih menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode tes dan angket. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu angket potensi diri, angket kebiasaan belajar, tes kemampuan numerik dan tes hasil belajar matematika. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Potensi diri, kebiasaan belajar dan kemampuan numerik secara bersama-sama berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa,(2) Potensi diri berpengaruh negatif tetapi tidak signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa,(3) Kebiasaan belajar berpengaruh positif secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa,(4) Kemampuan Numerik berpengaruh positif secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Kata kunci: Potensi Diri, Kebiasaan Belajar, Kemampuan Numerik, Hasil Belajar Matematika. Abstract.  This study is a quantitative study with an ex post facto approach aimed at knowing the effect of self-potential, study habits and numerical abilities on the mathematics learning outcomes of junior high school students. The sample in this study was 78 students of SMP class VIII who were selected using simple random sampling technique. The data collection technique used in this research is the test and questionnaire method. The instruments used are self-potential questionnaires, study habits questionnaires, numerical ability tests and mathematics learning outcomes tests. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that: (1) Self-potential, study habits and numerical abilities together had an effect on students' mathematics learning outcomes, (2) Self-potential had a negative but not significant effect on students' mathematics learning outcomes, (3) study habits have a significant positive effect on students' mathematics learning outcomes, (4) numeric abilities have a significant positive effect on students' mathematics learning outcomes. Keywords: Self Potential, Study Habits, Numerical Ability, Mathematics Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh minat dan motivasi siswa mengikuti pembelajaran matematika dalam jaringan terhadap hasil belajar matematika kelas VII SMP. Pada penelitian ini minat dan motivasi siswa mengikuti pembelajaran matematika dalam jaringan merupakan variabel bebas sedangkan hasil belajar matematika merupakan variabel terikat. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik random sampling dan jumlah sampel yaitu 78 siswa kelas VII. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan menggunakan instrumen tes dan non-tes. Adapun instrumen yang digunakan yaitu (1) angket minat belajar siswa dalam jaringan (2) angket motivasi belajar siswa dalam jaringan, (3) tes hasil belajar matematika. Metode analisis data menggunakan regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) minat belajar siswa berada dalam kategori tinggi (2) motivasi belajar siswa berada dalam kategori tinggi (3) tes hasil belajar siswa pada materi bentuk aljabar kategori rendah (4) minat dan motivasi belajar siswa dalam jaringan secara bersama-sama tidak berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar kelas VII pada materi bentuk aljabar Kata Kunci: Pengaruh, Minat Belajar, Motivasi Belajar, Hasil Belajar Aljabar.This study aims to determine the effect of students' interest and motivation in participating in online mathematics learning on mathematics learning outcomes for class VII SMP. In this study, the interest and motivation of students to take part in learning mathematics in the network is the independent variable, while the learning outcomes of mathematics are the dependent variable. The sampling technique in this study used a random sampling technique and the number of samples was 78 students of class VII. The data collection technique was using test and non-test instruments. The instruments used are (1) a questionnaire on student learning interest in the network (2) a questionnaire on student learning motivation in the network (3) a test of mathematics learning outcomes. The data analysis method used multiple linear regression. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesalahan siswa. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas 3 orang siswa. Teknik pengambilan subjek pada penelitian ini berjumlah tiga siswa dengan kategori kemampuan matematika tinggi, sedang dan rendah.  Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes dan wawancara. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu pemberian tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan rendah melakukan empat tipe kesalahan yakni, kesalahan memahami (comprehension errors), kesalahan transformasi (transformation errors), kesalahan keterampilan proses (process skill errors). Siswa dengan kemampuan matematika sedang melakukan tiga tipe kesalahan yakni, kesalahan transformasi (transformation errors), kesalahan keterampilan proses (process skill errors), dan kesalahan penulisan jawaban (encoding errors) dan siswa dengan kemampuan matematika tinggi melakukan 2 tipe kesalahan yakni kesalahan transformasi (transformation errors) dan kesalahan penulisan jawaban (encoding errors).Kata kunci: Analisis Kesalahan, Analisis Kesalahan Newman, Kemampuan Matematika, StatistikaThis research is a qualitative research that aims to find out student errors. The research subjects consisted of 3 students. The technique of taking the subject in this study amounted to three students with high, medium and low mathematical ability categories. The instrument in this study used tests and interviews. Data collection techniques in this study are giving tests and interviews. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it showed that students with low abilities made four types of errors, namely, comprehension errors, transformation errors, process skill errors. Students with moderate math skills make three types of errors, namely, transformation errors, process skill errors, and encoding errors, and students with high math skills make 2 types of errors, namely transformation errors and encoding errors.Key words: Error Analysis, Newman Error Analysis, Mathematical Ability, Statistic

Abstract

This study aims to explore geometric ideas in traditional food called Tumpi-Tumpi, a typical Bugis Makassar cuisine, and to develop problem-solving abilities using the Iceberg Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model. This study used a qualitative study with descriptive exploration. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the design of Miles and Huberman, the data analysis technique consisted of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. According to data collection results, the traditional Bugis-Makassar cuisine Tumpi-Tumpi contains ethnic mathematical components (geometrical concepts), namely, the plane figure of an equilateral triangle, and is used to solve mathematical problems. The Iceberg RME math technique utilized "the model of" and "the model for" to determine an equilateral triangle's features, area formula, and perimeter. Iceberg-based ethnomathematics collaboration may enhance high school student's interest in learning.
