Abstract

The first years of life are a golden period for brain growth and development of children, especially language. Speech and language disorders are one of the most common causes of developmental disorders in children. The aim of this study was to determine the factors that most influence language development in children aged 1 year. The design used analytic survey with cross sectional approach, with a population of 80 respondents aged 1 year, with a sample of 67 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. The research instrument used a questionnaire and a Denver II sheet. Data were analyzed by logistic regression test with the results of the gender variable obtained ? value 0.013 and the care variable obtained ? value 0.044, then gender and parenting affect the language development in children aged 1 year. In an effort to reduce the prevalence of language delays in children aged 1 year, midwives should conduct early detection or monitoring language development that can be done by using Denver II to optimize children's language development. Abstract

Abstract The risk of preeclampsia labor threatens the safety of the mother and fetus. Proper handling is needed to reduce the risk of this incident. Referral preeclampsia patients did not receive full dose of MgSO4 in the treatment at the first health facility. This causes complications to become a severe condition that is accompanied by seizures at any time and increases the risk of maternal or fetal death. The purpose of this study was to determine the risk of giving a full dose of MgSO4 as an initial full dose of preeclampsia patients in caesarean section delivery. The research design is a descriptive study with a cross sectional approach, with a population of 100 mothers of preeclampsia patients who gave birth to Sectio Caesaria and not Sectio Caesaria, sampling using saturated sampling with a total sample of 100 preeclampsia patients who met the inclusion criteria. The research instrument used the patient's medical records, then the data were analyzed using the Chi square test for the one-sided hypothesis and to find out the risk (Odds Ratio) of exposure to the case at a 95% confidence level using a 2x2 table showing the risk of SC in PE patients who were given MgSO4 not full dose is greater than PE patients who are given full dose of MgSO4. Abstract

Adolescent nutrition problems need to be the focus of attention because the nutritional status of young women (premarital) has a large influence on the health of pregnancy and birth if the teenager becomes a mother. This study was conducted to analyze the age of menarche and menstrual patterns based on the nutritional status of young women in Malang City. This study was a cross-sectional study carried out in Senior High School 3 Malang, with the subject of 75 young women selected by simple random sampling method. Data on the characteristics, age of menarche and menstrual patterns were obtained using a questionnaire with structured interviews. Data about weight, height, upper arm circumference and abdominal circumference were obtained by measurement. Data analysis was done by univariate and bivariate (chi-square). The results showed that 14.67% of female adolescents were included in malnutrition status, 13.33% over nutrition status (BMI / U), 25.33% had SEZ, and 22.67% more nutritional status (abdominal circumference> 80cm). This study showed no significant relationship between age of menarche with nutritional status (p> 0.05), but there was a significant relationship between menstrual patterns and nutritional status (p <0.05). Efforts to improve nutritional status for quality must begin as early as possible, especially for school children as the next generation of the nation. Abstract

Weight gain is an important indicator in the care of Low Birth Weight Babies (LBW), but weight gain has many inhibiting factors, including babies experiencing hypoglycemia and hypothermia. LBW needs to be given intensive care in an incubator and kangaroo method care (KMC). The purpose of this study was to analyze the differences in weight gain of LBW treated in the incubator and KMC with LBW treated in the incubator. This study used a case-control design. The population of Gambiran Hospital is 55 babies, while the population of Aura Syifa Hospital is 155 babies. A sample of 98 LBW based on a simple random sampling technique. The research sample in Gambiran Hospital received incubator and KMC treatment, while the research sample at Aura Syifa Hospital received incubator treatment. Data analysis was performed using univariate and bivariate (independent t-test). The results showed the mean weight gain of LBW with incubator treatment and KMC was 20.7 grams/day and the mean weight gain of LBW with incubator treatment alone was 7.6 grams/day. The results of the analysis showed that there were differences in the weight gain of LBW who received incubator and KMC treatment and those who received incubator treatment only. Babies treated with the KMC have a relatively normal body temperature, a regular heart rate and breathing so that their body metabolism is better. KMC can be applied to any low birth weight baby, both while in the hospital and when the baby is at home. Keywords: Low Birth Weight Babies, Incubator, Kangaroo Method Care

Abstract

Efforts to prevent developmental delays are by increasing the ability of mothers to stimulate their baby's development with flashcard media. This study aims to determine the effect of flashcard media on mothers' ability to provide developmental stimulation in infants aged 0-2 years. Pre-Experimental research design with One Group Pretest-Postest research design. The population was 20 people and used a total sampling technique with a sample size of 20 respondents. Data obtained from observation sheets. The results showed that respondents experienced increased ability after being given education with flashcard media. Data were analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test statistical analysis. The results showed there was an influence of the flashcard media on the mother's ability to provide developmental stimulation in infants aged 0-2 years (? value <0.001). This flashcard media can be used as a guideline in providing more precise and directed development stimulation so that the baby's development period can be more optimal. Abstract

The second stage elongated labor is the phase of a stucked labor and lasts too on the normal process was 2 hours in primigravida and 1 hour at multigravida. The second stage elongated labor cause dehydration, infection, fatigue and IUFD maternal and fetal asphyxia. Many factors affected the incidence including age, parity, spacing of pregnancy, the fetus is large and the location of the fetus. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors associated with the second stage elongated labor. This design was a cross sectional study. Total sample was 49 respondents determined by simple random sampling. The data were analyzed by chi-square test used error level ? 5% . The result of statistical test showed that X2 price was 3,841 which means there was a relations between the variables of age, parity, spacing of pregnancy, fetal weight, and fetus location on second stage elongated labor. Based on these results, it should be identifying the other factors that affecting the second stage elongated labor.
