Abstract

Umbilical granuloma is granular tissue that appears in the center of the umbilical cord after the baby's umbilical cord is detached. Umbilical granuloma is reported to occur in 1 in 500 newborns. Umbilical granuloma is closely associated with delayed formation of the umbilical cord and the presence of an inflammatory process or mild infection in the umbilical cord. A literature study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of salt therapy in the treatment of umbilical granuloma. The criteria for the articles reviewed are articles with a range of 2018-2022 and using the Google Scholar database. The keywords used are "Salt" and "Umbilical Granuloma" or "Garam" and "Granuloma Umbilikal". Based on the five articles that have been reviewed, all articles discuss the effectiveness of salt therapy to treat granuloma although there are some differences in the application process. Treatment of umbilical granuloma with salt is very effective with a cure rate of 96%, safe, uncomplicated, inexpensive, easily available, and can be done by anyone.

Abstract

Childbirth complications that are directly caused by prolonged labor are 2.8% of deaths from the maternal mortality rate worldwide which is 69,000. Factors that affect the smooth delivery are power, passage, passenger, psychological and helper. One way to maximize these factors is to do prenatal yoga. Prenatal yoga can increase the elasticity of the pelvic muscles that play a role in the delivery process. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of prenatal yoga on the second stage of labor. This research is a literature review with a traditional type of review, articles taken from 3 databases (Google Scholar, PubMed, ResearchGate) from the 2017-2021 range. Screening was carried out based on the PICOT so that 10 articles were obtained (5 national and 5 international articles). All articles found that the duration of labor in the second stage of labor was shorter for mothers who did prenatal yoga than those who didn’t. Nine out of ten articles had p-value<0.05 and 1 article had p-value>0.05 which means that prenatal yoga was effective in shortening the second stage of labor. It is hoped that health workers will facilitate prenatal yoga for pregnant women because the combination of movements is useful in facilitating the delivery process

Abstract

The mortality of maternal is very high in Indoneai. Data shows that as many as 4,627 maternal deaths in Indonesia in 2020, 1,110 cases were caused by pre-eclampsia. Early detection and management of mothers who have a risk of preeclampsia is very important to reduce the risk of maternal death. Therefore, the researchers analyzed the factors associated with the incidence of pre-eclampsia. This study aims to find out the similarities and differences in research journals regarding factors associated with the incidence of pre-eclampsia. The study used literature review with a Systematic Mapping Study design. Data is collected through articles with at least the last 5 years of publication. Ten articles of data sources were obtained from the databases of Google Schoolar, Pubmed, and Garuda. The articles were collected using PEOS, adjusted to the inclusion criteria and then analyzed using the instrument of presenting the results of the literature study. The review technique uses Compare and Contrast by finding similarities and differences from the articles that have been found, so that researchers are able to draw conclusions according to the specific objectives of the researcher. The result was incidence of pre-eclampsia in the article is in the range of 42-323 cases. There are 19 factors associated with the incidence of pre-eclampsia. All factors have p<0.05. Thus, the incidence of pre-eclampsia nationally and internationally is still high. The highest factors causing pre-eclampsia are maternal age and chronicity

Abstract

One of the efforts to minimize the risk of exposure to COVID-19 in pregnant women is through COVID-19 vaccination. Even though vaccines for pregnant women have been recommended, there are still pregnant women who have not been vaccinated because of the post-vaccination effects and anxiety. The research objective was to determine the relationship between the anxiety level of pregnant women and their participation in the COVID-19 vaccination. The research design was quantitative with correlational analytic methods. A cross sectional approach was carried out on 42 pregnant women based on a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a modified Perinatal Anxiety Screening Scale (PASS) questionnaire. The research was conducted in March-May 2022. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that 17 out of 32 pregnant women (40.47%) who took the Covid-19 vaccine did not experience anxiety. Of the 10 pregnant women who did not participate in the vaccination, 8 (19%) experienced severe anxiety and 2 (4.8%) mild/moderate anxiety. The statistical test showed a ?value (<0.001) with a C value of 0.60, so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between the anxiety level of pregnant women and participation in the COVID-19 vaccine with a high relationship between the two variables. Pregnant women are expected to search more information about the COVID-19 vaccine so that their anxiety about the vaccine can be resolved. Health workers can participate in approaching and involving families in educational efforts about the importance of vaccination.

Abstract

Menopause is a condition in women characterized by decreased estrogen function due to decreased ovarian function and has an impact on increasing the occurrence of cardiovascular problems. Fulfillment of estrogen needs in menopause can use phytoestrogens from black soybeans. The study aims to prove that black soybean (Glycine soja) can increase RE-? expression in the aorta of ovariectomized rats. Research samples (25 female rats) were randomly divided into 5 groups: negative control group (K-), positive control (K+) and treatment (P1, P2, P3). Ovariectomy was performed on K+ and P1,P2,P3. Thirty days post ovariectomy, the rats were treated with black soybean doses of 50, 100, 150 mg/200 g/day for 30 days. RE-? expression using immunohistochemical method. The results of Kruskal Walls analysis (?=0.05) showed a p value of 0.027 < ?=0.05, meaning that there is a significant effect of black soybean administration on increasing the expression of RE-? in the aorta of ovariectomized rats. Post Hoc testing with Mann Whitney showed a significant increase in RE-? expression in the 150 mg/200 gr/day dose treatment group compared to the positive control group (K+).

Abstract

Low Birth Weight Babies (LBW) are still very important in public health, with variables defined by WHO as weighing less than 2500 grams at birth. Birth with LBW is still a major factor in increasing mortality, morbidity and disability in neonates, infants and children, so that it can have a long-term impact on future life. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between parity and the incidence of low birth weight babies. This study uses a literature review design. Search journal articles using the PICO format and analysis was carried out. The search was carried out on several databases, namely Google Scholar, PubMed and DOAJ using keywords that had been determined by the researchers (Parity and Low Birth Weight Babies, Relationship and Parity Low Birth Weight Babies, Parity and LBW, or Parity and Low Birth Weight Babies, or The Relationship between Parity and Low Birth Weight Babies). Of the 10 journals from 2016 to 2020, which have been analyzed, there are 8 journals which state that there is a relationship between parity and the incidence of LBW. There is a relationship between parity and the incidence of low birth weight babies. The need for increased monitoring and provision of IEC to mothers with risk factors, so that they can overcome the incidence of LBW in early pregnancy
