Despite they manage their sheep well, they are not well informed on how to manage the sewage from their castles (faces and urine). This study aimed to analyze the level of farmers' knowledge in making use of sheep's urine to be degraded into bio urine in the Maju Farmer group. Data was collected through the pre-test and post-test. The data were analyzed using paired t-test and Wilcoxon statistical software (IBM SPSS Statistics 25). The results of the study showed that farmers' knowledge in sewage (Urine) management increased; there is a significant difference in farmers' level of knowledge in bio urine production before and after bio urine extension.

One of the programs to attract young generation in agriculture is Sustainable Food House Areas (SFHA) activities. The purposes of this study are to describe the level of youth interest, analyse factors that decide the interest, and formulate some strategies for developing youth interest in SFHA activities. This study was conducted in Sukatani, Sukaraja Sub-district, Bogor Regency in April – June 2020. This study used 50 peoples which determined using simple random sampling technique. The variables consist of individual characteristics, external factors, and youth interest in SFHA activities. Data analysis that used in this study is a descriptive analysis, correlation Rank Spearman analysis, and SWOT analysis. The results showed 52% of youth respondents had a high interest in SFHA activities. The factors that decide youth interest in SFHA activity are ICT access, cosmopolitan behavior, motivation, and some external factors. The strategies that can be undertaken to develop youth interest in SFHA activities are external factors support (family support, agricultural extension, community support and natural resources) to overcome the weaknesses (ICT access and cosmopolitan). Efforts that can be made are information media supply as a reference for youth generation in both of printed or electronic media, and actively conducting training and agricultural extension as a form of SFHA development.

Abstract

Sweet potato plants are generally planted monoculture by farmers, so that the cultivation activities in one season only focus on one commodity and no other mixed commodities. The possibility that occurs when implementing a monoculture cropping system is a failure to harvest or small production results if the plant is attacked by pests or diseases, also less optimal use of the land used. One effort to overcome this problem is the intercropping system. The purpose of this study is to describe the level of empowerment of farmer group members through the application of sweet potato cultivation intercropping with sweet corn plants, analyzing the influential factors and strategies to increase the empowerment of farmer group members through the adoption of sweet potato cultivation intercropping with sweet corn plants. The population of this study was 145 people and 61 samples were taken. Data analysis methods used are descriptive statistical analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, and Kendall's W. analysis. The results of the study show that the level of empowerment of farmer group members in the three research object villages is in the high category of 38 people or (62.30%) of the total overall respondent. The factors that influence the empowerment of farmer group members through the implementation of intercropping are external factors in extension activities. Abstract

The Ministry of Agriculture has a strategic flagship program to improve the well-being of farmers. One of its programs is People's Business Credit (KUR). The KUR program is expected to be a solution for farmers in providing financial capital from formal financial institutions. Capitalization is a major issue facing farmers. Capital constraints also result in lower quantity and quality of yield. Thus, farmers still have low accessibility of farmers to KUR. This is because farmers consider capital access to formal financial institutions difficult and they need to have a reserve. All this time farmers have been relying on collectors and non-bankers for capital raising. Farmers need to lend capital to cultivators because they are the only easy solution to working capital. This study aimed to describe the capacity of rice farmers in accessing People's Business Credit (KUR) and to analyze the factors that influence the capacity of farmers in accessing the CURS sample of 54 people with purposive sampling technique. The research variables consisted of respondents 'characteristics, support for counseling services, social support and farmers' capacity. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression analysis statistics. The results can be concluded that the capacity of rice farmers in accessing KUR is in the high category. Farmers' capacity is influenced by long-term entrepreneurship, counseling service support and social support.
