Abstract

Breast milk is best food babies. In this era information technology is developing very rapidly, this brings changes in society. It is possible that breastfeeding mothers also use Android-based media to access information on the internet about breastfeeding. The purpose to analyze the effect of using the digital magazine “Sobat Busui” on mothers’ knowledge and attitudes about breastfeeding. Research method is quantitative research with a Quasi Experiment Design study with one group pre post test design. The independent variable is the use of digital magazines about breastfeeding, the dependent variable is the mother's knowledge and attitudes about breastfeeding. To analyze the effect using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed good knowledge (56.4%) before using the digital magazine “Sobat Busui” after using the digital magazine “Sobat Busui” showing a good increase in knowledge (70.9%) then for a positive attitude (50.9%) before using digital magazine “Sobat Busui” and after using digital magazine “Sobat Busui” showed an increase in positive attitude (67.3%). Wilcoxon test knowledge variable p = 0.006 (< 0.05) and attitude variable p = 0.000 (< 0.05). This means that there is an effect of using the digital magazine “Sobat Busui” on mothers’ knowledge and attitudes. The conclusion is an increase in mothers’ knowledge and attitudes after using the digital magazine “Sobat Busui”. The suggestion is health workers are expected to use the digital magazine “Sobat Busui” as a support in providing health education about breastfeeding and for researchers to add cultural factor variables in future research.

Abstract

Smoking habits negatively affect the body to cause death. This is because cigarettes contain many harmful chemicals. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between carboxyhemoglobin levels and hemoglobin levels in active smokers in Gresik Regency using the Conway dish method which was read with a spectrophotometer. This research was conducted in March-June 2023 at the Toxicology and Hematology Laboratory, Department of Technology, Medical Laboratory, Poltekkes, Ministry of Health, Surabaya using an analytical observational research type. The test material used is whole blood, with research variables of COHb and Hb levels. The results of the analysis showed an average COHB and Hb of 0.89% and 14.6 g / dl with a significance value of 0.304 using the Spearman correlation test. With the limitations of the variables studied, it can be concluded that there is no relationship between COHb and Hemoglobin in active smokers in Gresik Regency.

Abstract

In 2022, the number of diarrhea cases increased to 958 sufferers, with the highest incidence occurring in Bulurejo village. Physically, the sources of clean water still exhibit discoloration and unpleasant odor. The latrine construction lacks a roof, and the walls are made of cloth. The construction of waste bins lacks covers, and the wastewater disposal facilities (SPAL) are open. This research aims to determine the correlation between basic sanitation and the prevalence of diarrhea using the Geographic Information System (GIS) method. The study is descriptive-analytical through observations and a GIS approach in the form of a map. From the observations, bivariate and univariate analyses were conducted using the chi-square test. The results show that basic household sanitation is related to the prevalence of diarrhea in Bulurejo. Clean water facilities, with a p-value of 0.014, indicate a significant relationship. Toilet facilities, with a p-value of 0.347, show no significant relationship. SPAL facilities, with a p-value of 0.009, indicate a significant relationship. Waste disposal facilities, with a p-value of 0.029, indicate a significant relationship. After analysis, the results were represented in the form of a map. The Geographic Information System (GIS) approach was utilized to develop more effective mapping strategies for the improvement of sanitation and diarrhea control in the area. These findings indicate the necessity for enhancing basic sanitation facilities and implementing programs at community health centers to reduce diarrhea cases in Bulurejo.

Abstract

Sleep is crucial for the body because it can improve the immune system and help teenagers concentrate at school. Meanwhile, each person's average sleep time is different. The standard sleep time for teenagers is 8 to 9 hours at night. The aspect that causes bedtime procrastination is self-restraint. Poor self-control can make a person's desire to sleep on time-inconsistent or unfulfilled. This research aims to analyze the relationship between TikTok and social media addiction among students at SMA. The population in this study was 83 and used random sampling techniques with questionnaire research instruments. The results of statistical tests using chi-square showed a significant value, namely p-value 0.007 > α 0.05, so there is a relationship between addiction to social media TikTok and bedtime procrastination in students at SMA X. It is hoped that this research can make students understand better the pros and cons of delaying bedtime. There needs to be increased health promotion counseling regarding the impact of excessive addiction to the social media TikTok, and schools and parents can set rules or limits on gadget use. In future researchers, it is expected that they can add related variables that influence addiction to social media TikTok and reduce bedtime procrastination (delayed sleep time).

Abstract

The nursing profession is a profession that is prone to experiencing stress. Long work duration in accompanying patients is one of the factors that causes stress in nurses. To anticipate work-related stress problems, it is necessary to periodically identify the level of stress experienced by nurses. The use of mobile applications needs to be developed for easy and efficient stress assessment Android-based which are expected to help nurses identify the stress they are experiencing. The aim of this study was to developing a stress assessment application android-based to identify stress levels efficiently and effectively. This research uses design Research and Development (R&D) with a product development and validation approach through use trials on 34 nurses with a sampling method that is the total sample. Test use using the instrument System Usability Scale (SUS). The research developed an Android-based stress analysis application called ENSS version 1.0 with login features, stress questionnaire main menu and load interpretation. The test was tested by respondents with a score of 74.78 in the category of Acceptable or Admissible. The ENSS application has been developed and is suitable for use in the identification of stress levels in nurses. The application of ENSS is an assessment of the stress level of nursing so that proper management can be carried out.

Abstract

Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease characterized by painful joints, particularly prevalent in older individuals, attributed to mild inflammation resulting from bone-end friction. A study conducted in Surakarta revealed a 4.9-fold increase in osteoarthritis risk among individuals with a BMI >25 compared to those with a BMI of 18.5-25.0. This research aims to investigate the association between knee osteoarthritis and BMI among elderly patients at the orthopedic outpatient clinic of Sesyapdhio Hospital, Surabaya. Using cross-sectional observational analysis, osteoarthritis patients were identified. The findings indicate a correlation between higher BMI and increased severity of osteoarthritis, contrasting with milder cases observed in individuals with normal BMI. Spearman's rank correlation review revealed a strong positive correlation (r=0.554) between BMI and osteoarthritis severity at Sexygandhio Hospital Surabaya. This study's unique contribution lies in its focused exploration of the relationship between BMI and osteoarthritis severity in elderly patients, offering insights into potential interventions tailored to BMI-specific risk profiles.
