Abstract

The incidence of placenta previa has doubled in women who smoke. This happens because the carbon dioxide inhaled can cause placental hypertrophy, thereby affecting the development of the placenta. The purpose of this study was to identify maternal passive smokers against the incidence of placenta previa. This type of research is descriptive survey, which is a method carried out with the aim of describing a situation objectively. Method of sampling with accidental sampling as many as 20 respondents who experienced placenta previa in November 2107-May 2018. From the results of the study it can be concluded that mothers with placenta previa passive smokers as many as 15 people (75%) and mothers giving placenta previa non-passive smokers as many as 5 people (25%) in conclusion, there are 15 maternal mothers with placenta previa passive smokers (75%) in Kendal District Hospital. It is recommended for the community especially pregnant women if their husbands, family members or the surrounding community who smoke, should avoid or wear masks so that they are not exposed to cigarette smoke and do not interfere with pregnancy in childbirth later.

Abstract

Premature rupture of membranes is fluid discharge from the birth canal before the onset of labor. One risk factor is a decrease in ascorbic acid which results in abnormal structural growth. Preliminary survey results in Dr. H. Soewondo Kendal in 2013 there were 379 women giving birth with premature rupture of membranes. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of exposure to cigarette smoke in maternal with the occurrence of premature rupture of membranes in Dr. H. Soewondo Kendal. The design of this study is analytical research with cross-sectional study. The population was taken from parturient mother in RSUD Dr. H. Soewondo Kendal in May-June 2014 as many as 78 birth mothers consisting of 39 mothers with Premature rupture of membranes and 39 with no Premature rupture of membranes delivery. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling. Data collection using checklists and questionnaires. The results were obtained by 29 pregnant women (74.4%) with Premature rupture of membranes exposed to cigarette smoke and 10 people (29.4%) exposed to Premature rupture of membranes. While 15 respondents (34.1%) were not exposed to cigarette smoke and 24 (70.6%) were not exposed to cigarette smoke. Bivariate analysis results showed a p-value of 0.003 α-0.05. The conclusion is that there is a significant relationship between the incidence of Premature rupture of membranes in pregnant women with cigarette smoke exposure. Advice for midwives is to give advice to every pregnant woman to avoid cigarette smoke and provide quick and appropriate assistance to mothers who give birth with premature rupture of membranes so that it will reduce the danger of infection.

Abstract

The umbilical cord infection characterize by red, swollen, suppurate,and smelling. This infection can occur treatment that does not hygiene requirements. The treatment uses a frequently replaced sterile gauze pad. Another way to allow an open umbilical cord with clean water and then dried.The goals, know the difference of closed and open umbilical cord care to the umbilical discharge at Srondol Public Health Center and Ngesrep Semarang City. This research is a kind of experiment with posttest only control group design. Population of newborn at Puskesmas Srondol and Ngesrep by purposive sampling technique. Sample 20 was given a closed care and 20 were given an open care. Treatment is measured from 0 days until the umbilical cord is detached by the observation sheet instrument. The results showed that there was a difference of closed and open umbilical cord treatment to the umbilical release length with p.value = 0,000. The average release time of the open care was 98.7 hours, and the closed care was 170.6 hours. There was a difference of 71.9 hours, so it was concluded that there was a significant difference between closed and open umbilical cord care release of the umbilical cord. It is expected to be notified to health workers to know more effective umbilical cord care to avoid the risk infection.

Abstract

The first two early years of life is a crucial period because the baby will grow a lot and  develop quickly. Malnutrition in the first two years of life will be permanent, irreversible eventhough the nutritional needs of the next period has been given. The member of family must practice health All the family member implement nutrititonal behaviour to prevent he occuurencess of malnutrition and they are able to overcome the problem of it. The purpose of this study was to identify the levels of nutrittion in infants and toddlers in Cepiring Village Kendal Regency. This research is a descriptive research. The approach used is the survey approach. Respondents who were the subject of this study were families who have babies and toddlers aged 0-59 months. The research used cluster sampling technique, the sample was 45 respondents. The results obtained that 33, 3% respondents gave breastfeeding exclusively, 93 % consumed healthy food everyday,  61 % respondents used iodize salt for cooking everyday, 91,7 % respondents consumed vitamin A and 94,4% went to scale the baby weight regularly to the Posyandu. It can be concluded that the familily nutritional behaviour in Cepiring Village is average good. The suggestion to the mothers who have newborn is to exclusively breastfeeding until 6 months old

Abstract

Teenagers often experience problems related to sexuality or reproductive health. A lot of information through the means of the print, electronic broadcast is vulgar and not educational, but more likely to influence and encourage irresponsible sexual behavior. The design of this study uses analytic surveys with cross sectional approaches. The population is class XI students, amounting to 225 students. The research sample of 70 respondents. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. The type of analysis used is univariate, bivariate and Chi Square test. The research instrument used a questionnaire that was previously tested for validity and reliability. The results of this study showed that most students were exposed to pornography on the internet with a total of 48 students (68.6%). And positive teen dating attitudes 58 students (82.9%). From the results of this study, the p value was 0.013 0.05. This study concluded that there was a relationship between pornography exposure on the internet and the attitude of adolescent dating in class XI at SMK NU 02 Rowosari. It is expected that adolescents should increase knowledge about reproductive health and enhance positive activities. The teachers put more emphasis on moral education so that students avoid the negative effects of exposure to electronic or internet facilities that deviate and avoid the negative effects of bad dating behavior.
