This is due to the institutional system of Malay isnot acting as it should. This caused a capitalistic environment management policies and theantropocentric paradigm in form since the days of colonialism, up until this point.

Abstract

This research describes the concentration of PM10 in the air and the Pb content inthe Gas Station Attendants’ hair in Pekanbaru. It was conducted in March – June 2014 byusing Case Control Survey Method and Statistical Analysis which are ANOVA Test andIndependent Sample t-Test in order to find out the difference of the Pb content in gas stationattendants’ hair of Pekanbaru City that is based on age, sex, location, group (case-control)and term of service and also to test the correlation between PM10 concentration and leadcontent (Pb) with a simple regression correlation analysis. The result reveals that there is nodifference in Pb content in the gas station attendants’ hair in Pekanbaru City based on age, sex, term of service and the group (case-control) (p>0,05). However, there are differences inthe Pb content in the gas station attendants’ hair based on the locations (p<0,05). PM10concentration and Pb content in the gas station attendants’ hair resulted an equation Y=0,151 + 0,001x. While R2=0,110 as a determinant coefficient showed a weak positiverelationship between the concentration of PM10 and Pb content in the gas station attendants’hair of Pekanbaru City.

Abstract

Environmental education enrole strategically in changing human perception andattitude on the environmental problem in the long run. The current study attempt to analyzeenvironment awareness among the high school students in the village, small city and big cityand that factors affecting the awareness. Apparently, knowledge, attitude and behaviourpartially do not influenced environmental awareness of the student in the school obtainingadiwinata and with that non-adiwinata. However, simultantly, student attitude had an effectto student awareness of adiwiyata school, while in non adiwinata school both attitude andbehaviour influenced student awareness.

Abstract

A study was conducted in december 2013 in coastal waters Topang Island RiauProvince, with a view to learn the environmental conditions under the deposition ofoceanography and physics. The method used is a method of surveys carried out at 12 stationswithout repetition and 2 times repetition on calculations of the quality of the waters .Theresults of research shows that bottom sediment surface waters can be grouped into threefaction sediment is sandy mud , muddy sand and sand .Sand faction dominating at anyresearch station with type 2 is sand and muddy sand .Based on the parameter of sediment asthe diameter of average (Mz), sorting ( ), skewness (Sk1) and kurtosis (KG), physicaloceanographic conditions in Western and Eastern parts of the island tend to be stablecompared to the North and South. Current speed of surface affect the distribution of thebottom sediment surface.

Abstract

This study was conducted from May 2013 - May 2014. Locations research wasconducted in the District of Bangko Bagansiapiapi. This study aims to determine the qualityof rainwater as a source of public drinking water in the District of Bangko Bagansiapiapi, knowing the health effects of consuming rainwater as drinking water and contribute ideas forthe Government of Rokan Hilir to be able to hold clean water for the people of the District ofBangko Local Government of Rokan Hilir . The results were obtained as follows: (1). Thequality of rainwater in the study site based on the results of laboratory parameters in terms ofinorganic chemistry, physical parameters, chemical parameters still below the drinking waterquality standards that are required by Minister Regulation No. 492 / Menkes / Per / IV / 2010showed that the rain water at the study site that rain water can be consumed by the public andis not harmful to health.

Abstract

Studies of changes in land use is essential in the kemoning watershed Sampangregency of East Java Province, due to changes in land use have an impact on the physicalenvironment, social and economic, including its impact on flooding. The purpose of this studywas to analyze changes in land use, using satellite imagery, GIS and cross tabulation, analyzing changes in precipitation computed arithmatik method to obtain the average rainfallin 2004, 2009, and 2013. Analyzing the dynamics of the discharge in the kemoning watershed2004, 2009 and 2013 FJ. Mock method. Analyzing changes in land use and its impact on theriver regime coefficient kemoning watershed. The study states that the decline in land area forforest, mixed garden, open land, mangrove, wetland, scrub, and an increase in landsettlements, field / fields and ponds. The amount of rainfall and flow rates tend to increasefrom 2004 to 2013, as well as the highest rainfall. Coefficient of river regime generally showpoor state of the watershed from 2004 to 2013. Changes in land use of open land (forests, orchard or fields) into land for settlement leads to reduced surface water infiltration, increase runoff, and reduce groundwater recharge it is very influential on the river regimecoefficient. It is an indicator of the environmental damage has occurred to the hydrologicalfunctions, namely a decrease in soil water availability because of the rain water is wasted, and only partially infiltrated into the ground.

Abstract

Analysis of heavy metals Cu, Pb and Zn in water, sediment and bivalves in the Northerncoast of Bengkalis Island Riau Province was conducted in September 2013. Samples were takenfrom 4 stations and environmental parameters such as temperature, pH, salility and current speedwere also measured. The results showed that all the water quality parameters measured in thepresent study were still in the range of tolerable level for aquatic organisms. The mean heavymetals Cu, Pb and Zn concentrations were 0.827; 0.406; 02.104 mg / L in seawater and 42.165;1.892; 78,556 μg/ g in sediment. Meanwhile the concentrations of those metals in bivalve were70.598; 3.762; 186.702 μg/g in Polymesoda expansa and 74.378; 3.903; 129.619 μg/g in Pharellaacutidens. Positive correlations between concentrations of Cu, Pb and Zn in water and sedimentwith concentrations in both bivalves species were found. Based on the PTWI calculation it issuggested that both species of bivalves were still safe to be consumed. Concentrations of heavymetals in sediment in the northern coast of Bengkalis Island were still below the ERL and ERMstandard indicating no serious pressure yet on the living organisms in the surrounding areas.
