Tasamuh dengan nomor registrasi ISSN 1829-6483 (Cetak) dan ISSN 2614-1736 (Online), merupakan jurnal peer-reviewed dan merupakan jurnal open access yang diterbitkan dua kali dalam setahun (Juni - Desember) oleh Fakultas Dakwah dan Komunikasi Studi, Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Mataram. Tasamuh merupakan laporan hasil penelitian bidang dakwah, politik, media komunikasi, model dakwah Islam. Tasamuh mengundang naskah-naskah tentang berbagai topik termasuk, namun tidak terbatas pada, dakwah, politik, strategi dan model dakwah, manajemen dakwah dan etika politik. Tasamuh bekerjasama dengan Asosiasi Profesi DAKWAH INDONESIA (APDI), Asosiasi Pengelola JURNAL ILMU DAKWAH (PPJID). Tujuan Tasamuh: Jurnal Komunikasi Islam dan Pengembangan Masyarakat adalah untuk mempromosikan diseminasi luas hasil-hasil penyelidikan ilmiah yang sistematis ke dalam bidang penelitian bisnis yang luas. Tasamuh dimaksudkan untuk menjadi jurnal penerbitan artikel yang melaporkan hasil penelitian tentang bisnis. Abstract

Regional election (Pilkada) is a stage for each candidate to attract public attention. The process is carried out in various ways. This includes the use of symbols. This study seeks to see the use of symbols as a political communication strategy in the Regional election of Lombok Utara Regency. The results of this study indicate that the regent candidates who are competing in the election of Lombok Utara Regency (KLU) use various symbols to attract the attention of voters. These include the use of taglines, gestures, and political attributes such as the words SANGGUP, S14P, fist, and respect. Symbol warfare is also carried out in the use of attributes attached to ballot photos. Apart from being aimed at attracting voters' interest, this symbol war is also used as a political communication strategy so that it is easy to remember in the election process.

Abstract

Cleaning ads are one of the commercial advertising models that often appear on television screens. Choosing television as a medium to broadcast advertisements is inseparable from the existence of television capital in influencing audiences, namely its ability to build images and meaning. This power is often used by advertisements in marketing their products. Advertising is often imaged as a product that can solve human problems, especially those related to cleanliness. The construction and delivery of its subtle messages often make audiences fascinated and hypnotized. Even though without realizing it, some hygiene advertisements contain messages that are actually full of discrimination, racism and sarcasm. Islam as a religion teaches that nothing distinguishes between race, color and other primordial identities from one another. From the very beginning, Islam has taught its people to reject all forms of discrimination, including discrimination based on race, color, and others, either openly or in secret. And of course even more dangerous, when discrimination is carried out using mass media, which in fact has the ability to construct images and meanings. Through this paper the author tries to describe how cleaning advertisements are often narrated and some discrimination phenomena that often occur without realizing it.
