Abstract

Tourism is currently still a priority sector for the government because it is considered capable of being a locomotive for the nation's economic movement. In Indonesia, tourist attractions have been integrated with the concept of ecotourism, namely tourism without destroying the environment so that it is sustainable. Activities that can be carried out apart from traveling are research, education and environmental services. South Sulawesi has the Rammang Rammang Tourism Village as a locus for ecotourism, namely tourism that prioritizes ecological principles. Even though the concepts offered are increasingly complex, tourists are decreasing, this is of course due to the impact of government policies during the Covid-19 pandemic until the New Normal era. Therefore, it seems necessary to develop a strategy for developing a tourist village model with a multi-stakeholder role in order to increase tourist attraction. The aim of this research is to identify management conditions, policies and develop a tourism village development strategy. The methods used are interviews, observation, questionnaires and literature review. The data obtained was then analyzed using SWOT, EFAS and IFAS. Research shows that the impact of the pandemic policy until the New Normal era has had an impact on government circles, namely a lack of contribution (Original Regional Income), for tourism managers also reduced income, and tourists are not free to explore tourist attractions. So to answer this problem a strategy model is offered, namely maximizing pentahelix involvement, planning and designing tourism innovation products, identifying market demand and building marketing strategies, as well as identifying tourism sustainability (Monitoring and Evaluation).

Abstract

The availability of adequate water is one of the key factors in supporting increased food productivity, especially in areas that have large agricultural potential such as the Warsansom Watershed (DAS), West Papua. This research aims to predict water availability in the Warsansom watershed using the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model. The SWAT model was chosen because of its ability to simulate hydrological processes, erosion and land use dynamics in a spatial-temporal manner. The data used includes rainfall, temperature, topography, soil type and land use patterns. The analysis results show that the average annual rainfall is 322 mm/year, with an annual average temperature of 26.49°C. The Warsansom watershed area is dominated by secondary dryland forest (78.69%) which contributes significantly to groundwater infiltration and recharge. Regional delineation resulted in 33 sub-watersheds with a total area of ??144,280 ha, as well as 273 hydrological response units (HRU) which became the basis for identifying critical areas in water management. SWAT simulations reveal potential risks of surface runoff in areas with steep slopes (36.53%) that require conservation interventions to reduce erosion and sedimentation. This research recommends data-based strategies for optimizing water resource management, including improving irrigation infrastructure, developing cropping patterns that are adaptive to water availability, and mitigating the impacts of climate change. By utilizing SWAT simulations, it is hoped that food productivity in the Warsansom watershed can increase sustainably, supporting food security in the West Papua region

Abstract

Abstract

Tongkonan community forest has an important role in Torajanese livelihood. The forest could serve daily needs and diverse ceremonial materials for local people. The existence of this forest also has an ecological function in soil and water preservation. This research aims to study the structure and composition of vegetation in tongkonan community forest and determine the useful plant species for the local people. The research method was done by counting and identifying plants in plot samples for the study of the plant community structure and composition and brief interviews with the local people to reveal the purpose of the plant species. There are 30 plants species that found in plot samples belongs to 28 genera and 18 families. According to the family level, the dominant plant species in observation were Fabaceae (14,28 %) and Myrtaceae (10,71 %). Pine tree (Pinus merkusii) had the highest basal area of 7163.054 cm2 and the species with the highest Important Value of 35.486 %. Several species, however commonly cultivated in this area such as kakao (Theobroma cacao) and kopi (coffea robusta). Generally in the village, around 35 plant species (51,47 %) are used as a source of food, while 39 species (57,35 %) are used for other purposes, such as traditional medicine, firewood, materials for tools and crafting, and ornamental plant species.
