Abstract

Along with the development of science, information and communication technology, scientific progress has been made in various fields, including education. Education is a strategic alternative in educating the nation and the main capital for developing a nation. Ideally, education must be oriented towards improving the quality of services in order to create an educational process that can encourage students to be enthusiastic about learning which in the end is expected to produce quality educational output. Education problems in Indonesia, especially regarding the quality of educational administration services, are often felt by users of educational services. Complicated service processes, less effective administration procedures and lengthy bureaucratic processes that must be followed often make students and parents complain about the situation. This is usually caused by several factors such as: limited use of educational Management Information Systems, weak data processing, and weak quality of service provided by administrators who are less alert and do not prioritize service towards the satisfaction of educational service users. The method used in this research is the causal survey method. According to Umar, a causal survey is a method of analyzing the relationships between one variable and other variables. The type of research used by the author is non-experimental research (survey research) with a quantitative approach, namely research on data collected and expressed in the form of numbers. There is a positive and significant influence of the management information system and school policy analysis on the service quality of the administrative staff of the Leading State Senior High School in Jambi City.

Abstract

The glycerin produced at PT However, when companies produce glycerin, there are variations between the actual technical characteristics (namely color, odor, acid number and water content) and the standard glycerin produced. Comparison of technical characteristics of actual and standard glycerin. In this case, color results were obtained that did not meet the glycerin standard of 99.6%, where the glycerin standard was around 96.7% - 97.3, while those that did not meet the physical properties of odor were 0.024% and 0.074% and the glycerin standard regarding odor was between 0.03-0.07%. The standard glycerol level reaches pH 4.8-5.2 and is obtained which does not meet pH 2.8, 7.4, 7.5, 7.8. The standard level of glycerin in water is 0.4% - 05% which does not meet the water content of 0.22% and 0.69%

Abstract

Speaking is a crucial aspect of language acquisition as it allows students to demonstrate their competence in the language they are learning. However, various obstacles can impact students' speaking abilities, including a lack of confidence, a limitation of vocabulary and grammar, and ineffective teaching methods. The objectives of this research were to investigate whether the effectiveness of Small Group Discussion improves speaking ability in descriptive text at the seventh grade of SMPN 14 Samarinda in the academic year 2023/2024 and to determine whether Small Group Discussion helps students enhance their speaking ability in descriptive text in the seventh grade at S MPN 14 Samarinda in the academic year 2023/2024. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The sample consisted of seventh-grade students from SMPN 14 Samarinda, specifically classes 7A and 7C. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and speaking tests to describe the progress of the action. The average score and class percentage were used as a representation of students' speaking improvement. The findings of this research was there are increase of 0.35% in the experimental class (30 to 40.5) and an increase of 0.15% in the control class (26.06 to 29.94) which means that Small Group Discussion has a better and significant improvement compared to conventional learning. According to Mann-whitney test, Asymp , significance value (2-tailed) was <0.001, which is less than α (0.005). It could be concluded that Ha accepted and Ho refused. It means small group discussion had significant effect on students speaking skill in the descriptive text at seventh grade students of SMPN 14 Samarinda

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi dalam pendidikan di era digital saat ini menjadi suatu keharusan, khususnya di Kota Samarinda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi integrasi teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) dalam pengajaran bahasa di madrasah serta sekolah dasar dan menengah pertama. Fokus utama adalah meningkatkan efektivitas pengajaran bahasa dan melatih guru untuk memanfaatkan alat digital dalam proses belajar mengajar. Kemajuan sains dan teknologi mempengaruhi kualitas pendidikan, termasuk di madrasah, yang harus mempersiapkan siswa untuk menjadi individu yang produktif, inovatif, dan berkontribusi pada masyarakat. Keberhasilan pendidikan di madrasah juga bergantung pada kinerja guru dan efektivitas supervisi akademik (Casmito. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan teknik mengajar berbasis teknologi menjadi isu penting. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengeksplorasi pengembangan teknik mengajar berbasis teknologi oleh guru bahasa di madrasah, sekolah dasar, dan menengah pertama di Kota Samarinda. Subjek penelitian meliputi dua sekolah dasar, dua madrasah ibtidaiyah, satu sekolah menengah pertama, dan satu madrasah tsanawiyah. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi, yang dianalisis secara kualitatif melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru bahasa telah memanfaatkan berbagai teknologi dalam pembelajaran, seperti slide presentasi, video pembelajaran, dan aplikasi berbasis web. Meskipun demikian, terdapat kendala seperti keterbatasan sarana dan prasarana serta variasi kemampuan guru dalam menggunakan teknologi. Secara umum, guru-guru tersebut menunjukkan keterbukaan terhadap pengembangan teknik mengajar berbasis teknologi dan menyadari pentingnya pemanfaatan teknologi untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang efektif dan menarik

Abstract

This development research aims to develop a product in the form of inquiry-based pop up book media in geometric learning that is suitable for use in the learning process. This research is a type of research and development (Research and Development) using the ADDIE development model which consists of 5 stages. However, in this study, researchers carried out the ADDIE development model only up to the 3rd stage, namely the development stage. The instrument used to collect data was a questionnaire or questionnaire given to several expert validators, namely the media expert validator, material expert validator and learning expert validator. Based on the validation results from the media expert validator, a score of 82 was obtained with the criteria of "Very Eligible". From the results of the material expert validation, a score of 88 was obtained with the criteria of "Very Eligible". From the results of the validation of learning experts, a score of 90 was obtained with the criteria of "Very Eligible". The average score from the assessment results of the three expert validators obtained a score of 86.6. Tracing the criteria for scoring scores, it can be said that inquiry-based pop up book media in geometric geometry learning developed is "Very Eligible" for use in the learning process.

Abstract

Stroke, a leading cause of death and disability globally, poses significant challenges in timely pre-hospital care. This study, conducted in Kupang City using a cross-sectional quantitative method, involved 300 respondents selected through multistage random sampling. The study aimed to assess the relationship between community knowledge and perceptions in handling stroke emergencies. The largest respondent group was aged 25-45 years (36.3%), with a majority being male (55.0%) and having a high school education (55.3%). Despite 68.3% never receiving stroke-related information, knowledge did not significantly affect pre-hospital care accuracy (p=0.814). However, a significant relationship was found between the timeliness of family decision-making and pre-hospital care accuracy (p=0.001). The study highlights that while knowledge is important, factors like accessibility to health services and practical experience play a more critical role. Swift decision-making in bringing stroke patients to the hospital is vital for effective treatment. This underscores the importance of public health education and interventions to enhance community response to stroke emergencies.

Abstract

Generation Z (Gen Z) is a generation that grew up in the era of rapidly developing digital technology and the internet, making them very familiar with technology, social media and information that can be accessed instantly. Gen Z wants solutions that are practical and easy to use. Online investment platforms such as mobile trading applications or other peer-to-peer services make it easy to start investing with just a few clicks on your mobile phone. Gen Z can access the stock market, mutual funds, crypto, or other alternative investments with relatively low initial capital. This research aims to analyze interest in mobile application-based investments by Gen Z. The Theory of Planned Behavior assumes that a person's behavior will be in line with their conscious intentions. This research is quantitative research with primary data using questionnaires and Likert scales for measurement. The population is beginner investors from Generation Z with data collected and data collection using accidental sampling techniques. The sample obtained in this research amounted to 95 respondents. The method used is Structural Equation Model (SEM). The results of this research show that Gen Z's interest in investing via mobile applications is significantly influenced by the Digital Financial Literacy variable and the Information Quality variable, while the Mobile-based investment application System Security variable does not statistically influence Gen Z's interest in investing via mobile applications. Overall, the availability of online investment apps provides an easy and affordable opportunity for Gen Z to start their financial journey. With technology continuing to develop, investments are becoming more inclusive, transparent, and applications with gamification formats are becoming relevant for Gen Z's digital lifestyle

Abstract

Speaking abilities are crucial language skills that must be consistently and thoroughly developed to increase a student's language proficiency. This study used a classroom action research design involving two cycles of learning activities; the BARA learning approach was carried out to improve students' speaking abilities. The four learning phases of the BARA approach, consisting of brainstorming, activating, reinforcing, and applying, were developed by Indonesian educators. The final BARA learning method design was created through this BARA approach trial in an EFL classroom. Data was gathered using a questionnaire, pretests, and posttests. The student's speaking skills significantly improved in the first and second learning cycles compared to the pretest result. Consequently, the BARA approach successfully improves students' English speaking skills

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Orang tua memainkan peran yang sangat penting dalam pengelolaan diare pada anak. Mereka perlu memahami tanda-tanda dehidrasi serta bagaimana dan kapan cara yang tepat untuk memberikan cairan elektrolit. Edukasi mengenai pentingnya pemberian cairan yang adekuat dan pemahaman tentang penggunaan LRO dapat meningkatkan tingkat kesembuhan anak dan mencegah komplikasi lebih lanjut. Tujuan: penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Gambaran pengetahuan orangtua tentang pentingnya pemberian oralit pada anak yang diare di pusesmas Oesapa, Kota Kupang. Metode: Jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif dalam bentuk studi kasus. Sampel: sampel dalam penelitian ini 2 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner yang diisi oleh responden. Hasil: Tingkat pengetahuan orang tua tentang pemberian cairan elektrolit sebelum dilakukan edukasi dengan menggunakan kuisioner pada kedua subjek yaitu responden 1 termasuk kategori pengetahuan baik dengan menjawab 18 soal benar dari total soal 20 nomor dengan nilai pre test 90 sedangkan responden termasuk kategori pengetahuan cukup dengan menjawab 12 soal benar dari total soal 20 nomor dengan nilai pre test 70.
