Jurnal Penelitian Ilmu Ushuluddin (e-ISSN 2774-8340) is a peer-reviewed journal that is published by the Faculty of Ushuluddin UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung. This Journal publishes current original research on religious studies and Islamic studies using an interdisciplinary perspective, especially within Islamic Theology (Ushuluddin) studies and its related teachings resources: Religious studies, Islamic thought, Islamic philosophy, Quranic studies, Hadith studies, and Islamic mysticism. Reviewers will review any submitted paper. The review process employs a double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa.

Abstract

This research is about the Shia Sect. The development of Shia is divided into three, including: Itsna 'Asyariyah, Isma'iliyah and Zaidiyah. Shia Isma'iliyah is the second largest sect. The development of Shia is very rapid but requires a long and complex time. The interpretation that is very popular among the Shia is the Tafsir Asas al-Ta'wil. The purpose of this research is to popularize the rarely known Shia interpretation. This research provides an overview of the Ismaili Shia figures, the meaning of ta'wil and the difference with the term tafsir. Then, covered with examples of interpretation of the story of Prophet Isa As. This type of research is classified as qualitative by relying on written data. The result of this research and discussion is that the book Tafsir Asas al-Ta'wil by al-Nu'man ibn Hayyun is the basic basis of mysticism philosophy as an understanding of a nature contained in the Al-Qur'an. It is divided into six sections which interpret the stories of the prophets in the Al-Qur'an, including: Prophet Adam, Prophet Noah, Prophet Abraham, Prophet Musa, Prophet Isa, and Prophet Muhammad SAW. The concept of ta'wil according to Syi'ah Isma'iliyah is an attempt to find the inner meaning or sign, essence, and truth (meaning) that is hidden behind the lafadz. There are many shortcomings in this research. Therefore, Drivers of Islamic Studies are expected to continue to deepen research related to the Ismaili Shia Theme.

Abstract

The purpose of research is revealing concept of 'Zinah' from Al-Kahfi verse 7 and connecting with society now. The kinds of research are research of bibliography with a qualitative method and using semiotical analysis by Roland Barthes because it needs structural analysis in critical text. Properly, semiotical theory of Roland Barthes is two steps. First is Linguistic system or Denotation system. Second is Mythological system or Connotation system. From the connotation system will be found the mythical meaning. The result of research of linguistic system or denotation system is the word 'Zinah' translated jewelry or thing that makes the other thing becoming the beautiful. In the mythical system it is all of the things created by Allah in the earth earth including mountains, trees, seas, rivers, plants and animals that makes the earth look beautiful. Behind this beauty, Allah makes it challenging. So that from the mythical system, it can be taken the meaning of myth from the word 'Zinah', it is jewelry that properly, it is used by a girl community and have a highly precious value such as necklace, ring, armlet and others made by gold or silver. This research suggests further studying the meaning of 'Zinah' in the Al-Qur'an in QS. Al-Kahf verse 7 uses semiotic theories or other linguistic theories. Especially the theory of semiotics which can reveal a deeper meaning to the word meaning of 'Zinah'.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the signs shown in the film Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck and the film Makmum where the focus of this research is on the use of verses from the Qur'an throughout the film. This research is qualitative in nature with a literature study using Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic approach. The conclusion of this study is that film can be a medium of Islamic da'wah that contains Islamic messages. The Islamic identity contained in the two films includes cultural aspects, characters, clothing, and rituals performed. The use of verses from the Qur'an in the film Tenggelamnya Kapal Van Der Wijck shows a message to study knowledge, social equality, serve parents, and believe in the power of Allah SWT. Meanwhile, in the film Makmum shows the attitude of human servitude for their weaknesses, asking for protection from Allah SWT, as well as signs of healing diseases through reciting verses from the Al-Quran.
