Abstract

Information technology has become an integral part of the ticket agent industry, enabling travel agents to improve operational efficiency and provide better service to customers. This research aims to investigate and implement a web-based ticket booking system at the "Rahayu" travel agent with the aim of expanding the geographical scope of their services. By combining related literature and relevant web references, we designed, developed and tested a ticket booking system prototype. The results show that implementing this system can increase customer comfort, operational efficiency and order accuracy, further expanding customer coverage

Abstract

This study aims to design and implement an automation system for drying and grinding coffee beans using infrared sensors and phototransistors controlled by a computer. Traditional methods are often inefficient and have a high risk of contamination. The automation system, utilizing advanced sensor technology, is expected to improve the efficiency and cleanliness of the coffee bean processing. The research methodology involves designing a system consisting of key components such as infrared sensors to detect moisture, phototransistors to measure light intensity, and actuators driven by stepper motors and DC motors. The research results show that this system can reduce drying and grinding time, improve process accuracy, and decrease manual labor involvement. Simulations and system prototypes demonstrate that this automation system can be practically applied, enhancing the efficiency and cleanliness of the coffee bean processing. In conclusion, this automation system can reduce contamination risk, increase productivity, and lower operational costs in the coffee processing industry.

Abstract

Students and the general public usually have different responses to the increase in Single Tuition Fees (UKT) at universities. Protests, complaints, and support for this increase may be expressed through various social media platforms, such as YouTube. Using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method, this study analyzes comments on the YouTube platform related to the increase in UKT. Comment data is divided into three categories: positive, negative, and neutral. The evaluation results show that the SVM model achieves an accuracy of 0.88; it also demonstrates good ability to recognize negative sentiment with a precision of 0.83, recall of 0.90, and f1-score of 0.86. For neutral sentiment, the model shows a precision of 0.86, recall of 0.75, and f1-score of 0.80. Nevertheless, the SVM model achieves perfect scores for precision, recall, and f1-score of 1.00 for positive sentiment. Although the SVM model has proven effective in analyzing sentiment towards the increase in UKT on YouTube, further improvements are needed to enhance accuracy in identifying neutral sentiment.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based administrative information system for the Program of Educational Technology and Computer Engineering at Universitas Bung Hatta, replacing the previously used manual methods. The developed system is designed to manage student thesis data, lecturer documents, and accreditation processes. The development method applied is the waterfall model, which includes stages of analysis, design, coding, testing, and maintenance. Results from validation testing indicate that the system is ready for use and suitable for further research. The information system features menus such as academic, administration, lecturers, alumni, and news, and utilizes a MySQL database. The use of responsive PHP programming facilitates data access and processing. The implementation of this system is expected to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of administrative management and simplify the accreditation process for the PTIK program.

Abstract

This study analyzes public opinion regarding the corruption case of PT. Timah (Tbk), which caused state losses of up to IDR 271 trillion, through YouTube comments. The methods used are the Decision Tree algorithm and the SMOTE Oversampling method. A total of 2501 comments were collected and processed. The stages include data preprocessing, sentiment labeling, and model training. The results show that the use of SMOTE improves the accuracy and performance of the model. With SMOTE, the model achieves an accuracy of 56%, a precision of 0.55, a recall of 0.55, and an F1-score of 0.55, while without SMOTE, the model only achieves 54%, a precision of 0.52, a recall of 0.52, and an F1-score of 0.52. Precision, recall, and F1-score also increase when using SMOTE. This study highlights the importance of the Oversampling technique in dealing with class imbalance to improve the accuracy and sentiment analysis model. These results make a significant contribution to sentiment analysis, highlighting the role of SMOTE in overcoming class imbalance and creating a more accurate model.
