Abstract

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the bacterium mycobacterium tuberculosis. Compliance with taking medication is a key factor in the success of tuberculosis treatment. Medication non-adherence can increase the risk of treatment failure and relapse, and is considered one of the most important causes of drug resistance. Abstract

Covid-19 is an infectious disease that will become a global pandemic in 2020. To reduce the transmission rate, WHO has issued various recommendations for the community, such as the use of masks, regular hand washing, coughing and sneezing etiquette, keeping a distance between people, avoiding crowded places, and others. The existence of public restrictions creates new problems for patients because of difficulties in seeking treatment. Telemedicine is a form of telehealth, which is a health service that is carried out remotely. This technology makes it easier for patients to interact with doctors without having to meet face to face. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of satisfaction of users of telemedicine services at RSIA Stella Maris Medan. The type of research used is non-experimental quantitative with a quantitative analytical study design. The population and samples used were 186 users of telemedicine services at RSIA Stella Maris. The results showed that users considered the features of the availability of options to be able to choose the treating doctor, the confidentiality of medical records, the stability of the internet network, the friendly and ready to help the attitude of the nurses, and the long waiting time for the drug delivery process as the most important features of each service dimension. To improve the quality of RSIA Stella Maris telemedicine services, many features are a priority to be improved, as well as features are maintained.

Abstract

The study focus on the development and review of health insurance in Indonesia that is relatively new for most Indonesians because the term health insurance is not sufficient in the general vocabulary. Social health insurance is insurance that must be followed by all or part of the population (an example employees), to involved and contributions are not a nominal value but a percentage of the salary to be paid, and insurance benefits. Commercial health insurance is insurance sold by other insurance companies or institutions. The development of health insurance in Indonesia is very slow compared to the development of health insurance in several neighboring Asean countries (Associaton of South East Asian Nations). Careful research on the slow development of health insurance in Indonesia is still lacking. However, in theory, several importantfactors can be put forward as factors that influence the slow growth of health insurance in Indonesia. In this case, there are health services which, in the process of health services, there will be variations in the implementation of activities from time to time which will produce varying results. One of the efforts to reduce process variation is standardization. The normalization process includes the elaboration, implementation, follow-up, control, evaluation and revision of norms (Indonesia Government Regulations or PPnumber:102/2000). The development of public health services in Indonesia has succeeded in improving health services more evenly. Advances in science and technology have resulted in more and more educated and informed community groups so that they can choose and demand quality health services especially with health insurances coverage

Abstract

Measurement of stress levels is important considering the long and stressful study period that medical students have to go through. This study aims to measure the difference in stress levels of the first year and third-year medical education students. The approach used in this study is a one-time unpaired numerical comparative analysis of two groups with a cross-sectional design. The study was conducted at the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences, Universitas Prima Indonesia for 2 (months) starting from February 2022–March 2022. A total of 76 subjects were involved, and each group consisted of 38 subjects. Determination of research subjects was carried out by purposive sampling technique with inclusion criteria in the form of the first-year and third-year preclinical students. In collecting data, the researcher used The Kessler Psychological Distress-10 (K-10) questionnaire. The collected data was then analyzed using an unpaired t-test. Furthermore, the results of the analysis are presented in tabular form along with interpretations. From the results of the study, it can be seen that many first-year and third-year students experience stress, and there is no significant difference between the two groups. Furthermore, the results of the study showed that there was no significant difference in the K-10 scores for first-year and third-year students based on place of residence, ethnicity, and area of origin. The phenomenon of stress in medical students needs attention from the university. Preventing an academic environment by designing a curriculum that promotes collaboration rather than competition as well as providing counseling services is recommended as a preventive measure.

Abstract

The performance of nurses in hospitals is closely related to reliable, skilled, and professional human resources. Many factors are thought to influence the performance of nurses, namely age, education, length of work, training, motivation, incentives, work environment, and supervision. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the performance of nurses. This research is an analytical study with a cross-sectional approach. The research was conducted at Raden Mattaher Hospital, Jambi Province. The study population was 406 people and a sample of 261 people. Sampling by purposive sampling. Data analysis was univariate, bivariate with a chi-square test, and multivariate with multiple logistic regression at a 95% confidence level (=0.05). The results showed that the factors that influenced the performance of nurses at the Raden Mattaher Regional General Hospital Jambi Province were education and training (p=0.000), motivation (p=0.000), incentives (p=0.020), and supervision (p=0.002 ). Variables that had no effect were age (p=0.584), education (p=0.786), length of work (p=0.421), and work environment (p=0.166). The most dominant variable affecting the performance of nurses is motivation with a value of Exp(B)/OR = 5.626, meaning that nurses who have high motivation have a 5.6 times higher chance of good performance than nurses with low motivation. This study concludes that education and training, motivation, incentives, and supervision affect the performance of nurses. Abstract

As of 2018, a new standard was applied, namely the National Standard for Hospital Accreditation (SNARS) Edition I. IPC is included in the group of Hospital management standards so that a good IPC organizing system can improve the quality of hospital services. The purpose of this study was to assess the IPC of SNARS Edition I. This study used qualitative analysis methods. Specifically, it is comparative descriptive research with a case study design. The object of this research is the implementation of the IPC program which is assessed through surveys and direct observations using the reference of SNARS Edition I. Respondents in this study amounted to 12 people. The search results obtained a PC score of 39.8%. The IPC Team Organization has not been socialized and has not established the IPC program so that surveillance records only run as in the previous year without a report being made to the leadership. The trend of incident cases knowing the management and implementation of the Program with SSI infection tends to increase. Of all the members of the IPC Team, only two members (18.18%) received official IPC education and training from outside the hospital. Existing IPC regulations need to be revised and completed, especially related to infection risk management which will have an impact on improving facilities and infrastructure. The implementation of the IPC program at the Royal Prima Hospital in Medan has not yet reached the graduation rate based on SNARS Edition I.
