Abstract

Asthma is one of the main non-communicable diseases and asthma is a chronic disease in which the airways of the lungs become inflamed and narrow. Asthma trigger factors are often found in the environment both inside and outside the home, but children with a family history of asthma have a greater risk of developing asthma. Apart from that, factors that trigger asthma are divided into two groups, namely genetic, including bronchial atopy/allergy, eczema; environmental trigger factors, such as motor vehicle fumes, cigarette smoke, burning rubbish, humidity in the house, and allergens such as house dust and animal dander. Method: The case study used in this research is descriptive in a case study design to explore the implementation of nursing care providing nebulizers with the problem of ineffective airway clearance in children with asthma at Bhayangkara Hospital, Palembang. The approach used is a nursing care approach which includes assessment, nursing diagnosis, nursing intervention, nursing implementation, and nursing evaluation. Results: The results of the research after the implementation of asthma management nursing with a Nebulizer in Asthma patients were proven to have an impact on improving breathing frequency because it had the effect of improving sputum production so that it was very influential in the process of improving breathing frequency/shortness of breath. Conclusion: Implementation of Nursing Care by Giving Nebulizers to asthmatic children with hygiene problems ineffective airway can be done because it is more effective for asthma patients and improves respiratory frequency.

Abstract

Children with diarrhea who are undergoing treatment in hospital (hospitalization) will usually cause anxiety for the child. The role of nurses has a big role in controlling anxiety by reducing anxiety, namely play therapy by coloring pictures. Puzzle play therapy aims to make children happier or used as entertainment while being treated in hospital and can reduce the level of anxiety in children. Method: The design of this case study is descriptive in the form of a case study with a nursing process approach consisting of assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, evaluation and documentation. The case study subjects were 2 cases of diarrhea with anxiety nursing problems at the Muhammadiyah Palembang Hospital in 2023. Data collection techniques were by observation, interviews and filling in research instruments for 3 days in the treatment room. Results: The results of the case study after implementing anxiety reduction nursing through puzzle playing therapy showed that the results of patient 1 and patient 2 showed that the level of anxiety decreased. What was found was that there was a significant relationship between Anxiety and the provision of puzzle playing therapy to children with Diarrhea. Discussion: Implementation of anxiety reduction nursing through puzzle playing therapy in Diarrhea patients with Anxiety problems can be applied because it is effective in reducing anxiety in children.

Abstract

Thalassemia is a disease that is passed from parents to their children in the womb which results in sufferers having to undergo regular blood transfusions to increase hemoglobin levels in the blood. Routine transfusions can cause psychological impacts such as anxiety in children. Playing is an effective way to reduce anxiety in children and can be a diversion or relaxation. The aim of the case study is that researchers are able to carry out nursing implementation of distraction techniques: play therapy (dolls) with anxiety problems in thalassemia children. Method: This research design uses descriptive methods in the form of a case study. Two respondents took cases, namely thalassemia patients with anxiety in the Talang Betutu Community Health Center area and the Sei Selincah Community Health Center area. Results: The implementation of nursing provided in the form of doll play therapy was effective in reducing anxiety in children. Anxiety scores decreased after doll play therapy. Conclusion: Nursing implementation of distraction techniques: play therapy (dolls) is effective in reducing anxiety in thalassemia children

Abstract

Children with typhoid fever require the child to undergo hospital treatment. This condition is a threatening situation and can cause feelings of anxiety if the child is unable to adapt. One way to reduce the impact of hospitalization is plasticine play therapy. Method: The type of research used in this research is descriptive in the form of a case study to explore the implementation of nursing in children with typhoid fever with anxiety due to hospitalization. The case study subjects were two pediatric patients aged 3-6 years with the same nursing problems, namely typhoid fever patients with anxiety and were willing to become respondents by signing informed consent represented by the patient's family. This research was carried out in March 2023. Results: The results of this research show that reducing anxiety through plasticine play therapy is effective in reducing the anxiety experienced by pediatric patients during hospitalization. Conclusion: Actions that can be taken in children with typhoid fever with anxiety due to hospitalization can be plasticine play therapy.

Abstract

Typhoid fever is a disease that is often suffered by children, especially school-age children aged 5-14 years, because they spend a lot of time outside, especially at school, so children pay less attention to personal hygiene. Hyperthermia is a symptom that often appears in typhoid fever sufferers. To treat hyperthermia, you can use compresses, one of which is tepid sponge. This case study aims to reduce body temperature in children who experience hyperthermia. Method: This case study uses a descriptive design with a case study design, in the case of reducing body temperature using the tepid sponge technique through a nursing process approach carried out by researchers. Data collection in this study was by measuring the child's body temperature using a thermometer and comparing the results of body temperature measurements after the tepid sponge was carried out using a body temperature comparison sheet after and after the tepid sponge was carried out. Results: After implementing tepid sponge nursing, the results from patient I and patient II showed that body temperature improved to the normal range. Conclusion: Implementation of tepid sponge in patients with hyperthermia can be applied because it is effective in reducing body temperature
