Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of parents as role models and the contribution of Christian Religious Education (CRE) in shaping children’s character in everyday life. The background of the study is rooted in the increasing moral and spiritual challenges faced by children in the contemporary era, which demand the integration of faith education through the synergy of family, school, and church. The method employed is a literature review using a narrative-descriptive approach, focusing on the analysis of scholarly works related to family, parental roles, and CRE. The findings reveal that parents serve as primary role models in instilling values of faith, morality, and spirituality, while CRE provides a systematic framework for deepening and internalizing these values. Collaboration among family, school, and church is proven to strengthen the holistic process of character formation in children. This study affirms that parental role modelling, when combined with the contextual implementation of CRE, establishes a conceptual foundation for a faith-based educational model grounded in threefold collaboration. Keywords: character building; Christian religious; educationearly childhood; parental role models Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran orang tua sebagai teladan dan kontribusi Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) dalam pembentukan karakter anak dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Latar belakang penelitian didasarkan pada meningkatnya tantangan moral dan spiritual yang dihadapi anak di era kontemporer, sehingga diperlukan integrasi pendidikan iman melalui sinergi keluarga, sekolah, dan gereja. Metode yang digunakan adalah kajian literatur dengan pendekatan naratif-deskriptif, melalui analisis terhadap artikel dan karya ilmiah yang relevan dengan tema keluarga, peran orang tua, dan PAK. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa orang tua berfungsi sebagai teladan utama dalam menanamkan nilai iman, moral, dan spiritualitas, sedangkan PAK menjadi sarana sistematis untuk memperdalam dan menginternalisasi nilai-nilai tersebut. Sinergi antara keluarga, sekolah, dan gereja terbukti memperkuat proses pembentukan karakter anak secara holistik. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa keteladanan orang tua, bila dipadukan dengan penerapan PAK yang kontekstual, membentuk fondasi konseptual bagi model pendidikan iman berbasis kolaborasi tripusat.
