Steady promotion on water, sanitation, and hygiene to achieve the target of Universal Access 2019 becomes a priority of Ambon local government. Various programs have been executed including the construction of public toilet and and communal waste water treatment plant (WWTP). Despite these efforts, open defecation is frequently practiced particularly in remote areas. Inquiries on the areas which can be classified as the most high-risk areas regarding with open defecation have been conducted which include Passo village in Teluk Ambon Bagualasub-district as one of these areas. It is presumed that 831 families (26.64%) in Passo Village are still practicing it. This study aimed to determine the social and technical aspects related to the practice of open defecation in Paso village. Data collections were conducted through observation, interview, and questionnaire. Based on the analysis, the social aspects that affect to performance of Open Defecation Free (ODF) was mainly due to the low capacity of local communities in building latrines, while their consciousness and attitude upon sanitation were poor. As for the technical aspects, water shortages became the primary factor for the absence of toilet, in addition to the limited area to construct it. Communal toilet turns out to be a resolution for this problem.

Endeavors toward Universal Target of 2019 dealing with water and sanitation are not merely the responsibility of central and local government, since community is both the subject and object of the target achievement. One of the main obstacles in accomplishing this target is the practice of open defection in a number of areas in Indonesia. This study was aimed to assess Open Defecation Free (ODF) in the environment applying the off-site sanitation system. The study was conducted in Kelayan Tengah village, Banjarmasin, consisting of 232 households in which 117 of them are still practicing open defecation (OD). The study was commenced by reviewing relevant literatures, conducting field survey (questionnaire and interview), and analyzing the data by using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). The analysis included the assessment of technical aspect, social cultural aspect, and institution aspect. Questionnaire was fulfilled by 75 respondents, while AHP involved 5 respondents. Action Plans of open defecation free in Kelayan Tengah village encompassed the establishment of Waste Water Treatment Plan (WWTP) in Elementary school of Kelayan Tengah village to design 117 house connections out of 232 house, the organization of community and public discussion with theme of proper sanitation, and the improvement of coordination of sanitation working group. Action Plans to achieve Open Defecation Free in Kelayan Tengah village, Banjarmasin encompassed the possibility of using Kelayan Tengah 2 Elementary School as the site to establish waste water treatment plant (WWTP) to provide the toilet access for 117 houses which cannot afford the appropriate ones; the effort to disseminate the importance of toilet and to organize public discussion with theme of proper sanitation; the improvement of coordination among sanitation working groups to maintain open defecation free and agencies that play a role in this issue, as well the promotion to conduct fund collaboration between public and government for the purpose of ODT.

This study aimed to reveal damage endured by coral reefs as the result of practice of bombingand cyanide fishing in Barrang Lompo Island Makassar. One of fishing activities which have brought severe damages including in ecological and social is Bluster fishing. The social effect of this practice among others is the decline number of fishermen due to the reef conditions is getting worse. The risk of the use of cyanide is also considered as high mainly due to the safety of the diver. However, the practices have lasted for decades and the government’s efforts to prevent then have not succeeded yet. This study used a qualitative approach. The results showed the widespread practice of bombing and cyanide. The field analysis indicated the involvement of law enforcement officers in protecting the perpetrators bomber and tranquilizer which in fact damage the reefs. The role of government and law enforcement agencies in controlling bombardment of immature fish turned out to be very significant to suppress the fish bombing activities (Bluster fishing).

A large number of scholarships have been extensively distributed in the educational institutions including college and university. It is, however, vulnerable to subjectivity. In general, students applying for the scholarship will be selected by the committee that may be subjective in the assessment process. In consequence, it can affect the result of scholarship recipients. Decision Support System (DSS) is a computer-based information system that supports the decision activities to be more. One method of the application of decision support systems is Simple Additive Weighting (SAW). This study was exploring the application of SAW in the case study of scholarship recipient selection process by weighting some predetermined criteria.

Password is important information to access or enter a system. Alphanumeric is a text-based password system that is commonly used. Unfortunately, many users make a weak password that is easy to guess and vulnerable to various attacks such as brute-force, dictionary attack, guessing attack and others. To create a strong password is suggested to have a lot of variety and long, but it will be difficult to remember by the user. Graphical password is an alternative method that gives usability for the user. Based on psychological research, people are generally easy to remember or recognize an images, shapes and colors rather than text. This reinforces the researchers to develop this method. The main problem of graphical password isvulnerable to shoulder surfing. In this paper will be proposed scheme as graphical password text based that are resistant to shoulder surfing attacks using color.

Appreciating outstanding employee by providing reward and recognition is a method to enhance the turnover of the company as well as to motivate the employee’s performance of employees. BRI Katamso constantly encourages the Marketing Officer (MO) to maintain and extent the achievement of targets and performance in order to increase the company's turnover. Pursuing augmentation in turnover and deterioration in MO, BRI has led the ability of MO to be represented to the public. The assessment criteria are set as the MO achievement including: outstanding credit, non-performance loan, Britama achievement, Simpedes attainment, current accounts achievement, deposits achievement, the sum of all achievement, debtors, creditors, the establishment of a blacklist and inclusion on the blacklist. Marketing officers are, in fact, distributed in each BRI Branch Office and numbers of BRI Unit and BRITeras. With the Decision Support System (DSS), it is expected that the computerization system would objectively and precisely assess the MO’s performances. The purpose of this research was to develop SPK in BRI Katamso by applying Profile Matching method.

This research applied an innovation in developing online shopping, using recommendation system. Recommendation System applies finding knowledge technique which is called itembased Collaborative Filtering. This works with by building information about items that are preferred by the customers. Collaborative Filtering filters data based on similarities or certain characteristics, so that the system is able to provide information based on patterns from a certain group of data that are almost the same. With recommendation system, customers could benefit from the recommended items which they may favour, generated automatically by the system. It is hoped that it could improve the convenience to shop and reduce the time needed by customers to search for items. Therefore it could increase the competitiveness of online shops that use a recommendation system.

The purpose of this study is to develop item bank of mathematics based on IRT and an Automatic Test Assembly program (ATA) with some parameters that can be changed. The method used in this study refers to the Waterfall model suggested by Pressman. The developmental design was grouped into four developmental procedures consisting of: (1) Planning, (2) Modeling, (3) Construction, and (4) Deployment. The product assessment was carried out by a subject matter expert, psychometric expert, and IT expert through FGD. The unlimited scale of ATA trial and a larger scale trial respectively involved six and 15 teachers. The questionnaire was given to the experts and teachers. This study found two findings: (1) The item bank of mathematics for senior high school has been calibrated with IRT, and (2) The ATA program can assemble multiple parallel packages based on test information function (TIF) curve and content (competence standard, basic competence, and indicators).

Education could be considered as one of the basic pillars to determine the performance indicator of a respective region. Year of schooling is one of the education indexes, which becomes the government's target in the 9-year compulsory education program. This index illustrates the importance of knowledge and higher-level skills. Meanwhile, West Papua Province as one of the youngest provinces in Indonesia is challenged to improve the quality of human resources, particularly in the underdeveloped regions. Therefore, it is important to identify the variables which influence the years of schooling in the West Papua province. Statistically, the type of data such as length of time is frequently used to be the survival analysis. Nevertheless, the distribution patternof the response variables is difficult to be analyzed. For that reason, this study applied mixture model on years of schooling. Mixture model estimation leads to the complex statistical problems with a number of parameters. Bayesian methods accomplish the estimation through the simulation process of Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC). The survival mixture model was formed based on the status of county. Rural areas were evidenced to give the contribution of years of schooling distribution more than urban area up to 59.87 percent. The opportunity to obtain formal education at least to junior high school in urban areas was greater than rural area had, yet it went down faster in year 12-th or in senior high school level. In general, the factors which influenced the years of schooling in urban and rural areas turned out to be different.

One of the problems in data classification is imbalanced data. In two-class classification, imbalance problem occurs where one of the two classes has more samples than another class. In such situation, most of the classifier will be biased towards the major class, while the minor class will be subordinated eventually which leads to inaccurate classification. Therefore, a method to classify the imbalanced data is required. Rare Event Weighted Logistic Regression (RE-WLR) which is developed by Maalouf and Siddiqi is a method of classification applied to large imbalanced data and rare event. This study showed the review of RE-WLR for the classification of imbalanced data. It explicated the steps to obtain the estimator specifically, particularly for IRLS. RE-WLR is a combination of Logistic Regression (LR) rare events corrections and Truncated Regularized Iteratively Re-weighted Least Squares (TR-IRLS). Rare event correction in LR is applied to Weighted Logistic Regression (WLR). Regularization was added to reduce over-fitting. The estimation of ߚ is performed by using the method of maximum likelihood (ML), while WLR maximum likelihood estimates (MLE) were obtained by using IRLS method of Newton-Raphson algorithm. In order to solve large optimization problems, Truncated-Newton method is applied.
