Abstract

Cholesterol is a soft, yellow, and fatty substance produced by the body, mainly in the liver. Every day, liver produces about 800 milligrams of cholesterol which is derived from animal products, seafood, milk, and dairy products. At normal levels, cholesterol is useful for health, because it is one of the essential fats required by the body for cell formation. Meanwhile, cholesterol levels are classified into three categories: normal, high, and low. The cholesterol levels can be affected by several factors that are sometimes not widely known by common people. The objective of this study was to determine the level of significance of each factor that affects cholesterol levels and to find the value of accuracy, precision and recall of the algorithms used in decision tree induction. The selection criterions used were the information gain, gini index and gain ratio to find the level of significance of the factors that affect cholesterol levels. Variables that affect cholesterol levels divided into four types, namely gender, age, history of smoking, and history of diabetes. The result showed that the most influence factors on cholesterol levels based on training data processed using three algorithms was the history of diabetes. Meanwhile, the highest accuracy was obtained by the information gain which was 56.14%. The recall values were distributed evenly for all three algorithms, it indicated the equality of those three algorithms. The information gain and the gain ratio had equal precision values (57.58%), however, they had higher precision in compared with the gini index. In contrast, the gain ratio was higher than the information gain and the gini index concerning with the RMSE of 0.564.

Abstract

Hotel occupancy leveling is one of crucial components in the hotel revenue management. Revenue management is meant to maximize the revenue management from various limited supplies. There has been a trend that the prevailing hotels nowadays have improved the technology aspect to increase the hotel quality and eventually the hotel occupancy. The modeling for hotel occupancy representation is a complex problem because the presentation has linked with the other processes, such as: the arrival reservation, cancelation, length of stay, no-show, group reservation, seasonality, and so on. In fact, the problems rising up recently are not limited on the workers or capital, but more in providing the reservation information. The information should give facility by providing simple method of reservation for the customers. This paper provided brief explanation regarding with the hotel occupancy and then explored the reservation system which implemented Indonesian language called Humane Reservation Assistance (HuResTan). Obvious contribution of this application was the implementation of Indonesian language in the reservation process. Furthermore, it provided the preference to make a reservation for the hotel room after the searching result for targeted room was completed.

Abstract

In the recent years, there has been a concern on how to make an innovative learning in the classroom in order to provide supportive learning environment. Such learning environment can be constructed in which it also highly relates to the learning media used by the teacher. Learning media are utilized to transfer lesson into easier way before it was delivered to the students. The main objective of this research was to describe the perception of teacher candidates who were still in the undergraduate degreeregarding with the use of board game as one of the learning media. This research was quantitative research and utilized questionnaire to collect the data. The objects of this research were 129 teacher candidates in the Department of Geography Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. The questionnaires were distributed in two days by using simple random sampling by the method of accidental sampling in which it was given to the teacher candidates who came to the lecturer. Descriptive statistics was used to interpret the data. In general, the teacher candidates perceived the potential of the board game as a learning media in order to increase the interaction between teachers and students in the classroom. The teacher candidates also had sufficient understanding on the implementation of the board game.

An unhealthy diet , such as eating foods high in fat , salt , sugar -free and low in carbohydrates complex , vegetables and fruits, the main cause of the increased risk of cardiovascular disease , diabetes mellitus and Hyperuricemia ( Sacher , 2004; Kumar et al. 2012). Various types of synthetic drugs used in medicine for example to decrease uric acid , allopurinol denan cause allergic reactions , stomach disorders, bowel , headache , dizziness , fever and blood disorders ( Tjay & Rahardja , 2007). Using of drugs that lower koleserol examples drugs of gemfibrozi drug , fenofibrate and bezafibrat of fibrate acid group which is usually used in patients with type III hiperlipoproteinemia and severe hypertriglyceridemia , has side effects gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea , diarrhea , flatulence , and others. Class of drugs such as cholestyramine and colestipol resins commonly used in patients with hypercholesterolemia, also give side effects such as nausea, vomiting , and constipation, but is reduced after some time of taking the drug. Likewise, the treatment of chronic hyperglycemia USING insulin and oral antidiabetic drugs are relatively more expensive because of its use in the long term and can cause unwanted side effects. Therefore, it is necessary to find an alternative treatment, especially from natural sources that are safer, does not have efeksamping and effective for use in the treatment of gout, hiperkolesetrolemia and hyperglycemia.

Abstract

Sport develops in various branches through various tournaments and is generally organized in the drawing mechanism. The process of drawing is to determine the opponent for each participant. The purpose of this study was to facilitate the organizing committee to manage the data participants and to draw the single elimination diagram match. Other purposes were to facilitate participants to gather information and to register the information via online system. Analysis of requirement formulated the needs of the system. The result of the analysis determined the concept of admin and user use case. The admin has some privileges in the selection and seed priorities of the participants. Subsequently, the system drew and randomised the scheme chart based on the seed category. This research had produced a web-based drawing application which was useful to support each single elimination tournament including of information, registration, and drawing process.
