Abstract

The pyrolysis method is a technology in energy conversion that can be applied in processing plastic waste into alternative fuels in liquid form. The pyrolysis method begins with heating the plastic waste in the reactor at a temperature of more than 400°C so that the thermal degradation process of the material occurs without oxygen content, causing a phase change to the vapor phase. The vapor phase is cooled into the condenser to convert it into a liquid phase to obtain liquid fuel from plastic waste. In this study, the pyrolysis condenser design in changing the vapor phase from the reactor to the liquid phase was designed using water as a coolant on the annular side with a coolant inlet temperature of 25 ° C and a coolant outlet temperature of 35°C. The results showed that an annular side dimension with a diameter of 250 mm and a height of 250 mm was needed to reduce the temperature of the inlet condenser fuel vapor from 60°C to 30°C. Furthermore, the inner pipe of the condenser is made of copper material, which is formed by a spiral with a spiral diameter of 250 mm, an inner diameter of 25 mm, and a tubing length of 4,870 mm.

Abstract

The unused land management as the seeding place is a new innovation by the farmers. Alms house is the initiator of the organic village program idea in Ngemplak Sutan Village, Mojosongo, Jebres, Surakarta. Innovation adoption program is started in 2013 and the successful of the program in 2018. It is needed 5 years to change the people’s mindsets to go organic farming. The aim of this research is to know how the process of innovation adoption program of organic vegetables in Ngemplak Sutan Village, Mojosongo, Jebres, Surakarta. The method which is used is qualitative research method since it emphasizes the direct observation and the data is analyzed by non-statistics. The data of this research comes from the primary source, that is deeply interviewed, while the secondary source comes from document, photo, video, and journal which is related with the research. This research uses interactive analyze data technique. The determination of the informant uses snowball sampling. The result of the research shows that the adoption process occurs through particular steps. On the knowledge step, it gives big impact on the decision of do the innovation adoption. This step can change the people’s mindset so they feel interest to do adoption. Innovation adoption program also gives impact on healthy sector, education sector, and economy sector. The conclusion is the adoption process was slow. The education sector is being the determination of the way in adoption process. Experience and knowledge, and the impact which is felt will be important considerations.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the types of defects that occur in the powder packaging process at PT. Marimas Putera Kencana as an effort to improve product quality. By doing this research, the benefits obtained include being able to know what problems are causing disabilities and can overcome these disabilities from the suggestions given by researchers. Multi-line machine is a packaging machine that is the object of research because in the packaging process using this machine there are still many defective products produced. The method used in this study is Six Sigma with the DMAIC approach which consists of Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control stages. The results of data processing showed that the sigma level value was 4.10, which means that the quality control process carried out by the company was running well. However, more intense control is still needed to minimize the magnitude of the possibility of defects. Factors that cause leaking defects in primary packaging Marimas powder include four factors, namely Human, Machine, Method and Material factors. Then from the four factors given suggestions for improvement actions.
